Passanger traffic drops again at Orlando International
by Leah ZanollaJan 2, 2009
The bad news for Orlando just keeps coming. The Orlando Business Journal is reporting that passenger traffic at Orlando International Airport was down by 13.8% in November over the previous year. Meanwhile, traffic from International visitors continues to increase - it rose another 3% in November marking the 19th consecutive month that international traffic to Orlando has risen.
Overall, domestic traffic into Orlando has dropped by 2.6% over the last 12 months.
In a related story, hotel tax collection for November was down by 13% over last year. (Yeah, let's throw more of the hotel tax revenue at an arena for the Orlando Magic - that'll help).
