SeaWorld is being sued by a man who is an annual passholder at their SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa theme parks. Jason Herman, of the St. Petersburg-area, said his annual pass was automatically renewed without his consent. Herman said that his credit card was charged a monthly $35 renewal fee after the pass expired. He called the company and was told that it would be automatically renewed, but he claimed that he could not find any information on the website or the pass stating that this would happen. After more searching, he did find the information online, but that it said "an annual pass would be renewed except when passes are paid in less than a year." He claims he had paid his off in 11 months, so his pass should not have been renewed.

Herman is suing for "at least $5 million on behalf of the class of annual pass-holders" in his lawsuit, which was filed in a Tampa federal court. The lawsuit says, "SeaWorld routinely receives complaints from consumers seeking refunds for charges made without authorization."
