After a year-long hiatus on water work with their killer whales, SeaWorld trainers will be back in the water within the next few months. Trainer Dawn Brancheau was killed last February when she was in the water with one of the whales, Tilikum. Since the accident, trainers have been restricted in their interactions with the whales. A spokeswoman for SeaWorld said that the trainers will first be limited to small medical pools that can be lifted out of the water. A proposal from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration would have trainers still be restricted from any physical contact with Tilikum.
