New nighttime celebration at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Guests to Disney's Animal Kingdom this month will have a new way to end their day at the theme park. Through June 30, the Sundowner Celebration will bring new immersive experiences to Animal Kingdom, a park already rich in heritage and culture. Guests in the Discovery Island, Anandapur and Harambe areas will enjoy new entertainment, folk art and unique merchandise, food demonstrations and specialty food and beverage choices, and animal encounters. The Celebration will begin after Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade and last until park closing. Visitors may find some of the merchandise available during the day as well.

Some of the experiences available will include:
Discovery Island - art focusing on nature and animals; The Island Groove steel drum band; Viva Gaia Street Band leading a street party; a variety of interactive activities.
Harambe Village - Visiting artists in Mombasa Marketplace such as wood carvers, painters, jewelers and henna artists; specialty food and beverage items at Kusafiri, Tamu Tamu and the Dawa Bar; Food demonstrations; Wine-Walk and Juice Tasting; Street party with music from Harambe's Tam Tam Drummers and the Burudika Band.
Anandapur - Asian henna artist; unique merchandise at Mandala Gifts; specialty food and beverages; Tea-brewing demonstration; Asian-inspired cooking demonstration; musical entertainment; Cultural dance and street party featuring Bhangra DJ Anaan.
