Universal Orlando has followed in the footsteps of its biggest competitor, Walt Disney World, and raised ticket prices. Disney raised their ticket prices earlier this week, for the second time in less than a year.

A one-day, one-park ticket at Universal has gone up $4 to $96 for adults and $90 for children. A one-day, park-to-park ticket had an $8 increase to $136 for adults and $130 for children.
For a two-day, one-park ticket, guests will pay $155.99 for adults and $145.99 for children, a $9 increase. If guests want to make those park-to-park tickets, they will pay $9 more than last week, bringing the price to $195.99 for adults and $185.99 for children.

This summer, an expansion of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be opening at Universal Orlando, which will feature the Hogwarts Express train. This train will take guests between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, but only with a park-to-park ticket.

When asked about the price increase, Universal spokesman Tom Schroder said, "We set our prices to reflect the value of the entertainment experience we provide. Our guests continue to tell us we offer great entertainment at great value. We offer a variety of value-driven, multi-day vacation packages for guests and their families with options as low as $49 per day. Throughout the year, we also provide special offers to Florida residents - including discounts on annual passes."
