ORLANDO, Fla. (December 7, 2007) – This year’s holiday festivities at Universal Orlando Resort include the return of Grinchmas to Islands of Adventure. Back by popular demand, the celebration includes an all-new “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” show in honor of the 50th anniversary of the book. The live show features six songs recorded by Mannheim Steamroller, with new arrangements of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Where Are You, Christmas?” The show takes place on a brand-new stage in the heart of Seuss Landing. Guests also have the chance to meet the Grinch and see Whos from Whoville.
In addition to Grinchmas, each evening the Macy’s Holiday Parade fills the streets of Universal Studios with authentic balloons direct from New York’s famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, as well as floats, performers in colorful costumes and marching bands. The parade also features the debut of the Simpsons family in their newly-created RV. The Simpsons will be featured in an all-new mega-attraction coming to Universal Studios in Spring 2008.
The celebration continues into the New Year with decorations and special events at Universal CityWalk as well as all three on-site hotels. Holiday events run from December 7 through January 1.
