For the longest time, my family and I struggled to find a solid table service meal at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. We were never big fans of Tony’s Town Square Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table was a little too pricey for our liking. Quick Service restaurants were our go to at the Magic Kingdom until we stumbled upon Liberty Tree Tavern.
Liberty Tree Tavern, located in the heart of Liberty Square, is a restaurant inspired by colonial America. Serving up New England-inspired dishes, this restaurant will most definitely become a family favorite. Liberty Tree Tavern serves lunch and dinner. If you dine at lunch, you will have a variety of menu options to choose from. When we recently dined at Liberty Tree Tavern, we tried one of their new appetizers, the Sweet Corn Fritters. These fritters are very similar to hush puppies and served up with a house-made pepper jelly. Crispy on the outside, yet moist on the inside, these sweet corn fritters were delicious! The jelly had a slight kick, which complemented the sweetness of the corn perfectly. I was impressed and would definitely get these again.
One of my all time favorite dishes at the Walt Disney World Resort is Liberty Tree Tavern’s New England Pot Roast. This pot roast is melt in your mouth delicious. The beef is braised in a Cabernet wine sauce and served over creamy mashed potatoes, with carrots, mushrooms and celery. The pot roast is fork tender and always full of flavor. I crave this pot roast when I’m at home and I am always excited to have it again on my trips to Walt Disney World. My mom also loves the Pilgrim’s Feast, which includes roasted turkey and gravy, herb stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans.
For dinner, there is a set menu and the meal is served family style. At dinner, you can enjoy roasted turkey breast, pot roast, sliced tavern ham with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb stuffing and macaroni and cheese. It’s essentially your traditional Thanksgiving feast and it’s phenomenal! Dinner will range anywhere from $30-$59 per adult, however, your server will bring out as much food as you would like. If you are looking to cut the cost a bit, you are definitely better off dining at lunchtime. Dining at the Liberty Tree Tavern has become a Disney tradition of ours and I definitely recommend giving it a try on your next visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
