Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 12514 Report
| Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 12514 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 12 | Category: T | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 04/29/12 |
Notes: Great room - very clean and the extra space was delightful for our family with 2 small children. We made use of both the pull-down bed and the sofa bed for them and it was good how the curtains divided both of their spaces while the walls divided off our room and bath. Being starboard side was also lovely for fireworks on pirate night - sat on the balcony while the kids slept.
We also had connecting room 12516 for the grandparents - the extra space with the door and balcony divider open made for a lovely overall suite.
Some bass music noise overhead from the bar on Deck 13 on the sea days at night - no one seemed bothered but me and it really didn't diminish my overall happiness with the room.
Liked having the space under the bed for suitcases instead of drawers but felt the need for more drawers overall instead of the number of shelves and cubbies in the closets and furniture - I may pack a little differently for the children's small items next time.
The dining area worked well for breakfasts and room service - we had a children's birthday party with 4 adults and 4 kids around the table for cake with no issue.
Very convienient access to the concierge lounge. Close enough that our door could be seen through the glass windows in the lounge and I felt comfortable slipping over to the lounge for a minute to grab a snack while a child was napping in the room as I could see the entrance the whole time. |

| Sail Date: 03/01/11 |
Notes: Lovely room located directly above the spa gym. One night the music was left on overnight and we heard the thumping above the ambient noise of the cabin.
Located directly across the Concierge Lounge, the kids were going in and out getting snacks and drinks from the Lounge.
Concierge hosts were excellent.
The jacuzzi spa was very interesting...kept turning on all by itself, typically after it was drained of water. I was afraid the motor would burn out but typically after 10 min or so would shut off on its own.
It really was a beautiful room. I think more storage would have been helpful, and it seemed like there was too much furniture, especially after the sofa was converted to a bed and the murphy bed was ready.
I liked the under the bed drawers. The two separate showers and the big jacuzzi was a big plus. I loved the rainshower head in the master bathroom shower, once I figured out that you could use the regular shower head OR the rainshower, but not both.
Two sinks in the master bath was a nice touch. However the storage for the towels in the corner by the jacuzzi was difficult to reach. Wish there were some overhead storage for luggage. |

Notes: Beautiful room. Great location, very convenient. Be advised, if you want to sleep in - this cabin is right over the gym. On two mornings cycling classes were held at 7:30 a.m. to a major disco beat. Otherwise, LOVED the room. Fireworks visible from the cabin. |
