Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 2514 Report
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 2514 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 2 | Category: 9B | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 02/16/11 |
Notes: Room was very quite. convenient to main lobby, restaurants, and guest services. Port hole was large and had excellent view of Castaway Cay upon arrival. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 2514 | Condition: 4 |
| Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 08/22/09 |
Notes: We had a wonderful 7 night stay 8/22-8/29/09. The location was great for the Walt Disney Theater- just one flight up. Other ship features could be a bit of a walk but nothing unmanageable. Our room was nice and quiet with plenty of well designed storage space. View from large porthole in Key West was a real treat. Stateroom attendant was amazing. This was our first cruise and hopefully not our last! |
| Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 2514 | Condition: 4 |
| Deck: 3 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 03/26/09 |
Notes: We originally joked about being in the bowels of the ship....picturing the gates of Titanic; but, the room was fine. The porthole was LARGE. We had a patch or two of rough seas....we felt much better in our stateroom than the aft dining! There wasn't a lot of traffic, elevators were easy to access. To get a drink, just one floor up! I did like how the bathroom was split into two rooms: one with the toilet and a sink, the other with a tub/shower combo and a sink! Happy Sailing! |
| Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 2514 | Condition: 4 |
| Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 02/26/06 |
Notes: We decided to pay for an up grade prior to our cruise , due to being assigned a free upgrade to cat 10 'noisy' cabin from our cat12 gty.
We were glad we did.
This is a quiet location, with little traffic past the door as it is forward of the end lift. There was no noise above or below the room.
Handy for the Theatre, Guest Services & Excursions Desk, Laundry (which is on the opposite side of deck 2, mid ship) and Shops and lounges. Not so handy for the drinks station or kids' pools.
It was a very rough sea going out of Canaveral, but I wouldn't say our room was any worse than the rest of the ship - I was feeling queasy everywhere we went that night !When the sea was calm everywhere was perfect (including our room.
There were three sets of low small draws, a steamer trunk and double wardrobe - more storage than we were expecting. The split bathroom also had more shelving than we thought (and a pull out drier line) though the bathroom area is tiny !
Nothing remarkable about the views - we were not habourside in Nassau, and though we were beachside at Castaway Cay the view was only across to the edge of the far beach.
We would definitely book this cabin again - we liked the quiet location.

| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 2514 | Condition: 3 |
| Deck: 2 | Category: 9 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 09/03/05 |
Notes: We were swapped this cabin after noise issues in our other cabin (2064) proved unmanagable. This cabin was tolerable as there was NO NO/NOISE). Over-head we estimate we had the forward corner of the Diversions lounge... no noise at all. HOWEVER.... ships motion non our return to port evening was intolerable! We had 10-14 swells and my spouse had to goon deck (9) and wait out the rought passage before returning to our cabin for the nite. My 2 kids and myself were fine - but we stayed with her on deck 9 for "support". _ NOW -this was not so bad compared to an Alaska return to port on NCL... where we were in a vernada 2/3rds back in a supposedly stable location - where 2 of us became ill and I was combating the effects. So DCL 2514 was not so bad... but not so great against ships motion in 10-14 swells. ALSO... the window view was sort of dramatic with the bow waves... I liked it. Other then that - the cabin was "OK" hence a "3". There was a lot of hallway space out front... and proximity to Walt theater was great - but aft dining access was a hike! |
