Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 2618 Report

Notes: Great location for access to all decks (right beside aft elevators). It was a quick trip to Deck 9 for drinks or ice cream (located in the aft as well). As others have mentioned it can be noisy during port stops (gangway access is right below the room). But the noise never woke me up. On a positive note it makes for a short trip to the gangway when coming and going on port days. Room is in decent shape for its age, everything was in working order. There was some noise from above (kitchen area of Parrot Cay), but again, nothing that would wake you up. Plenty of storage for clothing (has small steamer trunk)for the 4 of us. The proximity to the aft elevators was definitely a positive, it dramatically cut down on travel time to everywhere on the ship. Decent view of Castaway Cay when in port. Overall, a decent room.

Notes: Really a great room. We did hear some noise but it was rare and did not bother us at all. This is a great location close to aft elevators. I would stay in this room again!

Notes: This room was noisy during meal times until about 1 am and then early morning. The room appears to be under the galley which serves Parrot Cay and Animator's. Also noisy during port days when crew opens and closes deck one aft access point. This room had a musty smell to it and is showing age with small things broken here and there. Average size for Cat 9 room. Quiet hallway and close to the aft elevators. If I stayed in this room again it would be okay if I brought earplugs.

Notes: We always tout stateroom ranges 2104-2120 and 2604-2620 as being our ideal choices...We love aft, cat 9, deck 2 locations, as we feel they represent the best value and most convenient location-near all the venues we use most....I must admit that this particular stateroom, 2618, did have some noisy moments, I believe from CMs loading and unloading goods on port days very early in the morning....I dont know if this would be the case with port stateroom 2118 as well however...we chose 2618 for the better view of Castaway Cay, but would definitely opt for 2118 if in fact this stateroom were quieter and not directly above loading/unloading area....
