Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 2
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 08/13/11

Notes: We were moved to this room after a leak in our previous room (2643). The porthole was nice, but this room was obviously set aside for emergency use... Many of the fixtures and furniture was cracked and not up to guest standards... I also think the room might be used for "special guests" as someone was able to unlock our door and come in before we disembarked on the last day of the cruise, before regular guests were allowed to board.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 3
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 06/13/09

Notes: The (deck) location of the ship was great. It was no different than staying on any other deck. The stairs and elevators were convienent and the trip to deck 9 was painless. The next trip we would stay on deck 2 in a heartbeat. The Cat 9 was also great. There is ample opportunity to see "outside" and having the window was more than what was needed. I did not spend nearly enough time in the room to really need to sit outside. It was much nicer and roomier sitting out on deck 9. Now the location of this room is great. It's the last room AFT and was great for privacy. The room noise is where it gets tricky. Toward the end of the cruise I figured why it was so noisy. YES!!! you do hear when they leave/arrive at Ports. It's like you can hear/feel them taking up the anchor. It's very loud. But once they are sailing it's perfectly quiet....for awhile. The night was travelled to Key West, it sound liked a freight train was in that room. The next two nights was silent (at Sea and to Grand Cayman). It appears that depending on how fast they go you can feel when they turn up the speed. It was so noisy I could not sleep. My husband sleep fine because he loves sleeping with "white noise". So I guess it depends on the person. I would never stay in the room again but my husband would probably have no issues with it. There is ample room for 2A and 2c. There is ample storage space as well. We had four suitcases and 2 carryons. I unpacked all bags and stored away. So I would stay on Deck 2/Cat 9 in heartbeat but not this room.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 4
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 03/26/09

Notes: The porthole was large, which was very nice. The kids felt that the pull-down bunk was not very comfortable. The size was great -- plenty of room for 4 adults (kids are teens). As others have reported, you are directly above the engines, so on the mornings you pull into port, the room is VERY noisy and has a lot of vibration. It was great as an upgrade, but if I were paying for Cat 9, I wouldn't have wanted this cabin. This was the farthest aft cabin on the deck, and it felt like forever to get to when we were tired. But there was no next-door cabin noise.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 4
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 02/05/09

Notes: Our first Disney Cruise, we worried about being allocated this room after poor reports of noise etc, but only noisy for a short time on port days, which really didn't bother us at all. Great view of Castaway Cay/Flying Dutchman when docked. Would be more than happy to stay here again. Very convenient for aft elevators to most restaurants, pool, etc. Great with kids. No music or neighbor noise at all.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 2
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 10/04/08

Notes: Wow, this is a NOISY room. It is at the very end of the hallway, so you don't have to worry about noise from other guests. The noise you will hear is from the ship itself. When the ship was pulling into port, this room would shake and rumble as if we were in an earthquake. Sometimes it started as early as four or five in the morning, and continued until we were completely docked. It was extremely loud during those times, but there was no noise at any other time, so if you can handle those "earthquake moments" on port days, you'll be O.K. Also, the porthole here is slightly smaller than other rooms, and there is no trunk for extra storage.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 3
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 11/10/07

Notes: We did not have any major problems with this room. I heard terrible things about this room before we left. It was not bad. I liked the privacy at the end of the hall. The noise was mostly a vibration that didn't bother us that much. (it covered my hubbies snoring) I would stay here again!

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 1
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 10/06/07

Notes: Very noisy with lots of vibrations. Felt like being right next to RR tracks when a train is constantly going by.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 2652 Condition: 3
Deck: 2 Category: 9 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 07/25/04

Notes: Cabin was as far aft as you can get. I liked being aft, it was convenient to pool and restaurants. Was very noisy though. Mostly loud engine noises as we pulled into port. Also on two of the nights there was loud noise(music) coming from what seemed to be above us. It was nice having the lifeboat drill in AP though.
