Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 5190 Report

Disney Wonder | Disney Magic | Disney Dream | Disney Fantasy

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5190 Condition: 1
Deck: 5 Category: 6B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 01/05/13

Notes: From the time we pulled out of port the engine noise and vibration was so bad that by midnight the first night we demanded to be moved ( which they did to a room on level 7 midship) Location wise it was close to the laundry rooms and kids club. Would NEVER book this room again

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5190 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 6B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 06/30/12

Notes: We were very happy with our room. Had seen reviews of noise from the club below, but can't say we heard any of it all week. I'm prone to be motion sick and had no problems with the minimal movement in our room during the week. Foot traffic is very minimal as the hall ends 1 door past this room. The laundry room is directly across the hall, which was extremely convenient and easy to use. For 2 adults and 1 child in the room, we had plenty of drawer and closet space.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 5190 Condition: 4
Deck: 5 Category: 6B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 06/09/12

Notes: The location of this stateroom is incredible! It is on the back of the ship overlooking Dumbo and across from the laundry Room. It is close to the kids club/lab and there is very little traffic or noise from outside the hall. It also has an oversized verandah which was even better when opened up with our other stateroom (5192) There is a strong vibration from the thrustors or prop on the first who day and when docking or leaving port but it wasn't enough to bother us, it was actually kinda soothing to me & we had no problem sleeping with it. The music from the Tube didn't bother us until day 3 when the guest DJ showed up and his bass kept me up all night (230AM). The rest of the family had no problem falling asleep or staying asleep, only me (I am a light sleeper and have inomnia on occasion). I think if I had ear plugs I would have been fine. Also a con- this room doesn't have the pull down bunk above the couch. My kids were a bit dissappointed.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5190 Condition: 5
Deck: 5 Category: 6B Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 12/12/11

Notes: Condition of room was very clean. During day room very quiet and no hall traffic. Different story at night. I could hear boom boom boom of music from deck 4 club. In bathroom you could hear actual music. I also got sick from motion due to aft location combined with head cold. Veranda was large and private. I would not choose this room again.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 5190 Condition: 4
Deck: 5 Category: 6 Location: Aft
  Sail Date: 01/26/11

Notes: Loved the location of this room! It is across the hall from the laundry room. However, there was minimal traffic in the hall. It has a good sized verandah with minimal wind and is covered. Since the ship usually pulls into Port aft-first, you get a good view of the port. This was wonderful at Castaway Cay! Possible downside - this room is directly above the club, Evolution. You can definitely hear the bass through the floor; however, this did NOT prevent us from getting a full night's sleep every night of our cruise. We have booked the same room for the MV of the Fantasy.
