Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 6040 Report
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6040 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 06/06/12 |
Notes: This was our first ever Disney cruise and we really loved this room and its location. We are a family of 4 (DS11 & DD9) and felt that we had plenty of room and storage space. We did not spend as much time on the verandah as I would have liked to, but it offered great views while at sea and also while pulling into both the Bahamas & CC. While docked at CC, you can't really see too much of the island (other than the dock), but we took plenty of photos of CC while up on the outside deck of Cabanas. This verandah has a clear, plexi wall with 2 chairs and a small footstool/table. I don't recall any obstructed views.
The location was very close to the forward elevators and it did not seem to be loud; we rarely heard any noise at all from other staterooms or the hallway. Our family did not mind using the stairs and many times we'd hike up the stairs to the pool deck & Cabanas instead of using the elevators. This is a non-connecting room.
This verandah does overlook an extended verandah right below on Deck 5, but we only saw that family out on their deck 2 times. That was not a concern for us at all and didn't bother any of us.
For us, the room was perfect & we would definitely request this room on a future cruise. |

| Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 11/20/11 |
Notes: We were very happy with our first stateroom on the Dream. For us, it didn't really feel any smaller than on the Magic. DW did miss the mirror on the corner of the wall outside the shower, but we quickly found it on the inside surface of the shower room door. This room was big enough for our family of four (two adults and two small children). This room is almost right across from the forward stairs / elevator which I was initially concerned about. We heard no noise at all being so close to the stairway. No noise from above or the adjacent staterooms. This verandah did overlook one of the deck 5 verandas and this was my only disappointment with the new ship as I always enjoyed watching the ship run through the water on the Magic. Being on deck six, extremely convenient to deck 5 (kid's clubs) and the lower decks however it's a hike to the upper decks. We took the elevator much more on the Dream than we historically have, but being so close to the forward elevators, we usually did not have to wait due to full elevators. Overall, an excellent stateroom. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6040 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 11/22/08 |
Notes: We found this to be a great stateroom. We thought the location was perfect, it is midway between the foreward and midship stairs, very quick to get to either. It was only 3 flights up to deck 9 and only 2-3 flights down to get to the dining rooms. Kids club was only 1 flight down. We rarely used the elevators, stairs being much quicker. We heard very little sound from above or bedside us, extremely quite location. Roomy enough for our family of four ,2 adults and 2 kids, I completely unpacked and still had empty drawers. The bed lifts up and luggage can be stored under it. We would choose this room again. |
| Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6040 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |

Notes: We sailed with family in 4 other rooms. They were all the same cat 6. They are not huge but big enough for our family of 4. We used the pull down bunk each night. |
