Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 6556 Report
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 06/03/11 |
Notes: Very convenient to fore and mid elevators. VERY noisy when movie is being shown. Pirates 4 was shown one night, ending around 1:00am and we didn't sleep until it was over. There ARE outlets in the shower bathroom, but it is on the ceiling and is labeled for shaving. Hairdryer that is provided is powerful, no need to bring your own. Room connects to 6558. Nice view of Castaway Cay. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 5B | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 04/16/11 |
Notes: Stateroom is located right around the corner from the mid elevator and stairs - so very convenient to the atrium and theatres. Never heard any noise from machinery or the hallways. This was a great stateroom!! The views were excellent! |
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 3 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 03/20/11 |
Notes: I would have rated this room higher, but it was EXTREMELY loud due to being above the Buena Vista Theatre. They played I am number four and Tron after midnight and it was ridiculous. Our room would vibrate from the noise. We had a toddleer in our room and we were so glad we had brought a fan to drown out some of the noise.
The room was located in a convenient location that wasn't too far from the elevator mid ship.
We could see Castaway Cay from our Verandah which was nice. Unfortunately our verandah was covered in salt due to high winds that blew ocean water on to our verandah the first night.
There are no outlets in the bathroom which surprised us. We had a hard time getting ready without waking my son in the morning since we could not blowdry our hair in the bathroom. |
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 4 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 5D | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 01/11/11 |
Notes: Actual sail date was in 2012.
Cabin was very convenient to mid-ship elevators/stairs. Great view of CC from that side of the ship. A bit of noise/vibration, but not a lot. |
| Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 08/13/09 |
Notes: Best stateroom we've had in 9 DCL cruises. Location was great, room was in very good condition and it was very convenient to get to the kid's clubs and other activities--right off elevators but didn't hear any noise. Great view of DCL terminal and Castaway Cay. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 2 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 01/03/09 |
Notes: I hate to say it, but this room really IS noisy. There is a hydraulic pump underneath the floor that at times vibrated the entire room at all hours of the day or night. After reading these reports, I actually tried to transfer rooms, but the sailing was fully booked. I read somewhere that it was to be fixed during 2008 drydock - nope. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 1 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 07/09/05 |
Notes: We had a horrible experience with this room. From the moment we boarded there was some type of vibration in the floor below. During the day the vibration would sometimes turn to hammering like sounds. At night, forget it we couldn't sleep!!! I even called guest services at 2AM to complain. Eventually DCL told us it was a high pressure water line and it was mainly used at night. Well, we complained again and got moved to 8092 which was QUIET!!! |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 6556 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 6 | Category: 6 | Location: Mid |
| Sail Date: 03/29/03 |
Notes: Excellent location. Close to elevators and stairs - one floor away from kids activities. This is a connecting room but our experience was that it was not noisy at all. |
