| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 7636 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 7 | Category: 4C | Location: Aft |
| Sail Date: 10/14/12 |
Notes: Great room. This was our first Verandah. Connected to 7634 with a door located next to the closet. This room has a Murphy bed as well as the pull down from the ceiling bed. Not a lot of foot traffic outside the room and the ship was full. Very quite. No problems with noise from other staterooms. closer to the aft elevators which is nice since they are less used, but not too far from mid. Looks out onto CC when docked. |
| Ship: Disney Wonder | Stateroom: 7636 | Condition: 4 |
| Deck: 7 | Category: 6A | Location: Aft |
| Sail Date: 04/22/12 |
Notes: Awesome room! Super huge accesible configuration, no tub but the shower is huge. The only downside was the fold out couch was very uncomfortable, but our room steward Eric who was AWESOME did his best to put egg crates on it. Twins loved the pull down bunk, location was right next to secret deck and easy to go up to the buffet. Muster station is back of Animators Pallete, right below you down the stairs, super easy. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 7636 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 7 | Category: 6 | Location: Aft |
| Sail Date: 08/13/11 |
Notes: This cabin is a handicapped accessible room and we were given it as a GTY assignment (we are not handicapped).
The cabin is much larger than the standard cabins and the balcony is simply huge!
The bathroom is not split like the standard cabins, but again it is large and we preferred it.
There was some vibration when the air con was working, but it was not intrusive, and some noise when the side thrusters were in use (into port).
If we could pick this cabin again we would!

Notes: WOW! This room was a great surprise! It's big! We saw some pics of this room on the net that made it look a little old and worn, but we found it to be in excellent shape, bright, fresh and spotlessly clean! This is a larger than normal cabin as it is a w/c accessible room. I'm a paraplegic architect in a w/c and I must say this room is well designed and would comfortably meet anyone's h/c needs. It does not look or feel 'institutional' in any way.
The triangular shape of the room meant that 2 adults (one sport wheelchair) and 2 kids were not bumping into each other and driving one another crazy!
There is only the one non-divided bathroom so some waiting/planning is required. The large shower (no bath?) has a level floor with imbedded strip drains so there are no bumps or lips to wheel or step over. Nice! There is a large fold down seat at w/c height. When it is used, a grab bar above it sticks into your back a bit. There are grab bars everywhere which come in handy if the seas are rough!
The verandah has a slight lip and 1.5" ramp that shouldn't pose any problem. Someone mentioned in another review that the deck often had standing water on it -ours was completely dry. The solid deck rail is a bit high to look over (would've preferred a see-through glass/metal railing) but the viewing angle to the sides and behind the ship was incredible. The verandah is about 3x the normal size as well!
As for noise, there was some rumbling from the engines and creaking and shuddering when the boat turned quickly. The cabin is at the end of the hall which made it very people-quiet. We thought this was a good trade-off.
The nearest elevators were a ways away from this cabin. I personally didn't mind as I was doing everything possible to burn off that Mickey ice cream bar I had at dinner. If you are mobility-impaired and can't walk far, I'd recommend a room closer to the elevators.
Overall this cabin exceeded our family's expectations, and we'll ask for it next time we cruise. Dave M |

Notes: Hadicap Accessible. The varandah in this room is very large equal to 2 of other from what I can tell. The room itself was in good shape with more room than I thought we would have. This is a handicap room so it had a big bathroom but not split. The shower was large. We did not have a handicap person with us so the stairs were located near making it easy to get around for us. However you would have to travel to the elevators if you were in a wheelchair. I thought the room was great for the 3 of us and the view of Castaway Cay and the varandah made this room great for us. No noise to speak of and no motion issues. The cruise in general did not have any motion as it was very smooth trip. Secret 7th deck area is just around corner from this room. Enjoy.

Notes: This is a handicapped accessible room. The verandah is huge, although it flooded quite a bit but it wasn't much of a problem. The bathroom is not a split one like in other cabins, but it has a very large showering area. It is kind of far from elevators since it is at the end of the hall making it tricky for those in wheelchairs. However, we loved this room. Consider yourself lucky if you are placed in this cabin. |

Notes: Huge room for handicapped accessiblity. HUGE verandah. Great room. Easy to manuever the power chair around in the room. Walk/roll in shower, plus a shower seat. For me it was in a great area, convenient, and enjoyed being on the verandah viewing ports of call and other ships docked next to the Magic. Would stay in this room again if ever get the chance. |

Notes: The varandah in this room is unbelievable BIG equal to 2. The room itself was in fair condition it needs to be refurbished the bed had major dips in both side of the mattress. This is a handicap room so it had a big bath with shower unfortunitly the shower would back up and the entire bathroom floor would flood it took them 2 days to fix. Also for those that are handicapped the room is at the very back of the ship and you must travel to the elevators if you have a scooter or wheelchair this may be difficult since there are alway host carts or strollers in the hallway. I guess we could use the stairs that are right there (LOL). All in all the room was fair but the view of Castaway Cay and the varandah made this room what it was. |
