Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 9C Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 03/30/13

Notes: We LOVED this room. The entry is nearly DOUBLE the size of a regular stateroom. It has a slanted wall at the front with a porthole...but we never had an issue. We put our pop up laundry hamper over there so it worked well for us. It has the split bath which was awesome. Only holds three people but that's all we need. Our friends had the identical room in 8502. We didn't have any issues with movement. There was a noise that we kept hearing but we had no idea what it was but it wasn't very much. We use a noise machine which solved all noise issues. You will hear the thrusters but only when docking so it wasn't an issue. Would not hesitate to book this room again.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 9A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 12/08/12

Notes: This was a very large room due to the extra square footage. The roof was slanted since it was at the front of the ship. This area of the ship was relatively quiet (every now and then I heard a clanking noise which I never figured out what it was). I was not close to any restaurants or shopping, but I was close to a elevator and two enchanted portraits. There was some rougher motion since you are at the front of the ship so if you are prone to motion sickness, this cabin might not be the best choice for you.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 9A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 05/01/11

Notes: We had booth 8004 and 8006 and these rooms were HUGE! The sq foot was around 400 sq feet. We loved all the extra space and would book these again. The window is snall and overlooks the teen pool, but we never saw one person out there. Wonderful room! Would book this one again in an instant!

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 9A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 02/03/10

Notes: There was LOTs of room in this cabin. Almost as much room as in a verandah cabin. We never felt claustrophobic at all. The forward wall of the room does have a large slant to it, and the window is mounted in this wall. It overlooks the teenagers' pool, but we never saw anyone down there. (We did bonk our heads a few times on the window ledge - the window is not full wall-sized, but about 4' in diameter). The shower was not round like the showers on the sides of the ship, but there was still plenty of space. The toilet paper holder is in an awkward place so we removed the TP an put it on the sink and it worked just fine. Handy thing to know: the closest laundrette is deck 7 FORWARD, so go down one flight of stairs instead of walking all the way aft. Deck 7 has two ironing boards and deck 8 only has one.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 5
Deck: 8 Category: 4 Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 09/25/09

Notes: This was a wonderful room. It had plenty of space. There was four of us. It had a steamer trunk with shelves. This cam in very handy. The cabin steward made up the murphy bed each night. Which my older son enjoyed much better then sleepy on the bunk. There was little to no noice. It is near the end of the hall so no one walks down there. Some crew does but very quiet. Only problem it is a connecting room. We did hear the other room a few times. But the door connecting is magnet and fun to decorate.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 8004 Condition: 4
Deck: 8 Category: 4 Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 12/10/05

Notes: Unlike what I had been told, there is an open deck above the forward cat 4s portside. There is a walkway up to the bridge overlook. We heard running most nights after we went to bed & also heard carts being pulled around by the CMs during the day. We didn't hear anything from the connecting room until day 3 when the baby in there decided to scream for 30 minutes around 10:30 pm every night. We also heard the guy next door on the nonconnecting side snoring VERY loudly one night so I think that we would have heard the crying even without the connecting door. There was absolutely no hall noise. There is a CM door at the end of the hall that goes to the bridge. We had to go thru that door & thru the CM areas for the life boat drill, which was neat. It was a very convenient location. You can watch the captain dock at Castaway Cay & St. Maarten. We were also able to watch them test the lifeboats out while in St. Thomas. The kids enjoyed using the secret staircase to go up to Topsiders. The extra room was nice. It was great to have a chair to sit down in when the beds were made up! We enjoyed the verandah very much, even though we would not book one. We were upgraded from an 8 to this room. I wouldn't pay twice the cost of an 8 for this room however, we did enjoy it as a free upgrade.
