Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 8006 Report
| Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 9D | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 05/04/13 |
Notes: This stateroom is all the way forward, tucked into the corner of the ship. We loved this room and do not know if we can sail again in a normal room. The amount of space is stunning. It's pie-shaped with the bed and bathrooms in the middle. Couch on one side and vanity, closets, bunk bed on the other.
You do feel more motion the more forward, higher you are - but if you're having problems with the motion it really doesn't matter where in the ship you are!
Loved using the forward elevators because they were the least busy. You will not regret having this room. |
| Ship: Disney Fantasy | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 9D | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 11/17/12 |
Notes: This room is a HUGE corner room! Plus there is no support pole in the middle of this style room like on other decks. It has a queen bed in the middle, a pull down bed on the left and a sofa bed on the right side of the room. The port hole is slanted so to look out you have to lean into it. It is nice cause it has a shelf area to place items. |
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 08/25/11 |
Notes: This is one of the corner 9A staterooms. There is a ton of floor space in this room! It is like a suite. Only complaint is being all the way forward you can feel a lot of motion. We sailed through Hurricane Irene, so there was a lot of motion. Port hole is angled and pretty small, hard to see out, but the amount of space is amazing. |

Notes: Awesome room all the way forward under the bridge on the Dream....Lots of floor space....no foot traffic outside and you wouldn't hear it anyway since this room is up in the corner of the ship.....not an ADA accessible room....has ths split bathroom....no privacy curtain because the couch is in the corner near the window and the bunk is on the other side of the room.....it's at least 350 steps to the aft elevators from this room so be prepared for a walk....overall awesome room especially for families with little kids....could totally fit a crib or pack'n play in this room with so much floor space to spare....small window which you must duck down to see out so watch your head....this room is less expensive than the rooms with full porthole windows...totally worth it on this room...I was looking for something different with a little compromise and found a terrific stateroom on this ship. |
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 9A | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 05/01/11 |
Notes: This was the BIGGEST stateroom we've ever sailed. It was around 400 sq feet, but Disney will not tell you that when you book, because they do NOT charge extra for this one. Which they should it was HUGE, bigger than a suite would be. We also had 8004 and it was almost as big. These are located on the Fwd. corner on decks 6 and up. Def. would book this again. Now the window was not huge, but the room made up for it. |
| Ship: Disney Dream | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 8 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 04/07/11 |
Notes: What an awesome room! I was concerned about the view after seeing a few comparable pictures but that was great too. This room is HUGE! We are a family of 4 and we just had so much room. I would book this room again in a heartbeat just for the amount of space we had. I was also concerned we would feel a ton of movement being all the way in the front of the ship and nothing. It was never noisey either! We booked guarantee and couldn't have been happier with what we were assigned! |

Notes: The room is HUGE! My husband and twin 5 yr old daughters had so much room. It was great for the kids because they could sit on the floor and play a game or with toys on one side of the room and not be in the way of people walking around on the other side.
There isn't a privacy curtain, and I thought it would bother me, but it really wasn't an issue. One daughter slept over on the couch on one side of the room and it ended up being pretty dark over there (with one bedside lamp on and no other lights) and the other in a bunk which was over the tv so she didn't see the light or too much noise from it when we stayed up later. Most nights we were pretty exhausted and ALL went to bed around the same time anyway! The porthole is smaller and has a view of the bow of the ship, but we honestly weren't in there long enough to gaze out. It was nice for natural light and the girls to see out when we were in port, though.
We thought it was a very quiet room but thought we could feel much more movement in that room than our relatives stateroom down the hall midship. |
| Ship: Disney Magic | Stateroom: 8006 | Condition: 5 |
| Deck: 8 | Category: 4 | Location: Forward |
| Sail Date: 04/28/07 |
Notes: This was our first cruise. We found the stateroom to be very roomy and comfortable for a family of 4. There was loads of storage space. The queen size bed was excellent to sleep on. Extremly comfortable. The additional space with a chair and table was useful. We found this stateroom in the forward area of the ship to be very quite. The room was convenient to the forward elevators which we found to be easily accessible. Maybe only twice did we wake in the night (early morning) to a motor vibration. We believe it was the bow-thrusters working as they docked the vessel.
