Disney Cruise Line - Stateroom 8032 Report

Notes: We just finished the WBPC cruise. We LOVED our room but only gave this room a 4 because of the awful creaking and popping noises from the wood in the room. Now granted, this was only really bad when the seas were rougher but bad enough that all four us ( normally, deep sleepers) woke up at night and had fitful sleeps. We even nicknamed our suite " Snap! crackle! And Pop!"
Our neighbors next door were veteran concierge cruisers and recommended Benadryl or earplugs. We didn't have either.
Nonetheless, we had a wonderful cruise and enjoyed having the extra space and triple wide verandah. The beds were comfortable, the stateroom host was AWESOME and the concierge services spoiled us. The room was in excellent shape (although the white foam pieces shoved between the wood pieces to minimize creaking were aesthetically displeasing.). We loved the layout of the midship suite and would cruise this room again without hesitation---I would just bring earplugs next time. |

Notes: The room was great. Clean and very quiet. Two adults a 15 year old and a 5 year old were very comfortable in the room for 3 nights. From the balcony we were able to see us go in to the ports when arriving at Nassau and Castaway Cay. The views at sunset and sunrise were just beautiful. Will be booking the same room in the future. |

Notes: We just returned from our wonderful cruise aboard the Disney Magic. We stayed in room 8032, and it was great suite. Very spacious & comfortable for all 5 of us. The first 2 sea days were rough and the room creaked those days, but after that it was very quiet from there on out. We did hear the lounge chairs above us on deck 9 being moved in the evening but nothing that caused us not to fall asleep. It was very convenient, mid ship, stairs and elevator practically at our door. Our concierge Danny, was AWESOME! He was so attentive to us and generously showered my boys with arcade cards every day, popcorn and candy for a movie, not to mention the wonderful afternoon treats that were left for all of us each day. It's a great way to cruise if you can afford a suite. We hated to have our cruise come to an end and leave the ship and our new best friend Danny. I hope he sees these reports, because he deserves to know what a great job he does. |

Notes: We loved this room! I cannot say it was noisy, though you could hear the chairs from outside the Cove Cafe in the morning. I was up anyway, so it did not bother me. There was only one occassion where we heard noise from the elevators, but it was preteen kids playing out there. We loved having the murphy bed in the living room. Would definitely book this room again. |

Notes: Plenty of storage. Not a lot of room for moving around. Only one person can pass by at a time at the foot of the bed. Connects with #8030 and connecting doors have a mechanism that holds them open if you wish. Solid white balcony divider that the stateroom host can open to allow pass through to other balconies if you're traveling together. Stateroom entrance door seems more narrow. Didn't measure so I'm not sure that it is. Just seemed that way. |

Notes: Midship cat 3, bigger thahn Cat 3s in other locations. An absolutely fantastic room on Deck 8, great location, good sized room, lots of amenities. Loved the deck, easy to get to the pools and sun deck quickly, good for topsiders, and cove cafe to get a quick snack and return. I see the odd mention of posters saying there is noise on this deck, It is totally untrue, unless they are speaking about the pirate party, and if you have your veranda doors open, actually its very peaceful, and for a light sleeper we got a lot of sleep. No funny noises at all. I have found lower deck rooms have a lot of vibration and noise, from clubs, restaurants, and a humid, and not fresh smell, but up on deck 8, the movement is less, no vibration, and you can have room service on your veranda. We spent a lot of time in the room and enjoyed the facilities. |

Notes: I was originally concerned as others had complained about the noise from deck 9. Other than the occassonal chair moving or someone running and the music from te deck parties we heard nothing. It was a great room with the extra room. You are right there and able to get tp the elevators and to deck 9 so easily. I will book this room every time going forward. The only down side is the view seemed to be better if on the other side since they back in everywhere. |

Notes: When we entered our stateroom, we were very happy with our choice to reserve the suite. The room was very impressive with nice furnishings and dýcor. The bathroom in the bedroom area was very large with a whirlpool tub and very large closet. Storage in the room was very abundant and well organized. The concierge staff was very helpful and did well at handling any requests we had during our trip. They were also very generous with the little treat trays. At least once a day there were some sort of goodies left for us that were always good. We did notice a little noise at night as things on the deck above were moved about but it was nothing that we couldn't deal with. This room is just a few steps away from the central stair and elevator area which was very convenient, and surprisingly we did not hear any foot traffic from people entering the corridor. The triple wide veranda was really neat too. Overall, we were very happy with this room and would book it again in a heart beat. |

Notes: Pictures do not do this one- bedroom suite justice! We were blown away at the size and spaciousness of the stateroom. The verandah is triple wide, with seating for at least 4 people. There is a sofa bed (sleeps two) in the living room, and unlike most Cat 3s, the single Murphy bed is also in the LR. There is a wet bar, a very nice A-V cabinet with stereo and TV. You can borrow CDs and DVDs (list with options provided in the room). The bedroom has a very comfy queen-sized bed (linens were high quality). I slept GREAT in this room. There is a walk-in closet with separate vanity area outside the master bath. Double sinks are opposite the jacuzzi tub. The toilet and shower stall are private. There is a lot of room!
There are various books available in the room on the shelves: classics (adults and children's selections) and a variety of natural history guides.
Although this room is the first room as you exit the stairway/elevator area, we never heard noise from there. It is also directly beneath the Goofy pool on Deck 9. During the evening deck parties, we heard a few creaks from people dancing above but it was nothing I couldn't have fallen asleep to. This should not deter you from choosing this room, as the mid-ship Cat 3s are larger and have a better layout (that extra bed in the LR rather than the bedroom).
We spent more time in our room than we thought we would because it was so comfortable, bright, and had that triple verandah! Enjoy. |
