    rluvsheep - From the moment we arrived, we loved it. The cars and movie screen were a lot of fun. Our server was fantastic, he was very accommodating. Out daughter is 10 and considered an adult by Disney, but she still likes the food off the children's menu. He offered to bring her the mac and cheese in a larger portion since she is considered an adult. She had a cookies and cream milkshake, which was very good. My husband and I both had the burgers, which were fantastic. The out of this world cheesecake was definitely out of this world. I would recommend this to anyone considering.

    lisakramer - We have given this a couple of chances and have been disappointed every time. The atmosphere is fun for sure, but that's about it for the good stuff. The video clips are the same from 2003. It's time for an update. And make the reel longer. You'll end up watching the same clips at least 3x during your meal. The food is not good. Sorry, it's not. I don't even know how to describe it. Soggy, cold, icky? Yuck about sums it up for me.

    CocoaPrincess - We ate at the Sci Fi 2 years ago and the food was good. Pricey for what you get but acceptable for the atmosphere. We returned to the Sci Fi in July 2012. There were two of us and we decided to share appetizers for dinner. We ordered the chicken wings, potato skins, and onion rings along with 2 root beers. When the root beers arrived at the table they were so flat that there were not even bubbles in them:( The server was amazing when we told her and she refilled them from another fountain and they were better but still not great:( The appetizers cams and they we good, but not worth the price:( The atmosphere is Incredible, but the food is Lousy:( There is more...... 15 minutes after we left the Sci Fi we were stricken with stomach cramps and all that goes with that when we eat bad food....... The rest of the evening was spent by each of us in the bathroom:( It was Terrible and we will never eat there again:(

    jlundeen - We have been coming to Disney off an of for about 20 years now....in all that time, they have not updated this place one bit. Same old film clips, cartoons, etc. Years ago, we thought it was a fun place to eat. Not this year! Staff behind the check-in desk were grumpy, and out waiter just went through the motions. Food was terrible, with the exception of the milk shake... Don't waste you time or money on this place.

We loved the atomosphere it was totally cool and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend sci fi for lunch but maybe for dinner go to brown derby.

    stindall - This place is neat to eat in once but I wouldn't go back. The sets were kind of uncomfortable and small and it felt kind of like everyone was watching you. It was hard to see and hard to tell the waitress what we wanted. The food was mediocre at best. The movie reel was really short and played over and over so it wasn't very fun after a couple of times. Overall it's a neat place to go to once just to experience it but it could use some major improvements.

He got one of his favorites The Rueben and loved it, he really enjoyed the movie clips I had the ribs and they were excellent, was able to pull the meat off with a fork very easily they were that tender.. We had ordered the spinich dip appy so were to full for dessert..

    meggiebeth - Ate here in August. One of the longest waits we had during the holiday. Chocolate shake/ smoothie was inedible and food was bad too. Service was one of the worst we received during the holiday. Obviously they took advantage of how dark the restaurant was because the tables were pretty dirty, as were the cars. A unique restaurant but not one we would even consider returning to.

    mtcabri - This is a place I would recommend everyone visit ONCE. We won't go back again but we're glad we got to eat here once. Its a VERY busy place. I'm glad we had a reservation because you couldn't seem to get anywhere near a table for hours without one. Even with the reservation, we waited almost a half hour for our table at lunchtime. Once inside the dining room, its adorable. If you have kids, they will love eating in the car. For me, the car was uncomfortable. The food was just okay. The service was pretty good. This won't be a must do for our next trip, but everyone should eat here at least once.

    meeko987 - I would recommend going here once....just once. The atmosphere is magical. It recreates a drive-in movie theatre pretty well. We have always found the service to be very good, as our servers have been helpful and enthusiastic. The movie reel of old B-movies and cartoons is fun, but since they repeat the clips after 30 minutes or so (and since they seem to play the same reel year after year), it gets old quick, and you can't help feeling that Disney is being cheap here. The bill has always given us more sticker shock than just about any other meal. It is way too expensive for the mediocre quality. We've had pizzas on the level of generic frozen ones you'd buy at the supermarket, bland pasta dishes, disappointing sundaes (made with cheap ice cream that quickly turns into weak chocolate milk from the hot fudge), and most recently, a surprisingly adventurous vege burger that was ruinously over-cooked. Best bet: Go for dessert. Have a single expensive milkshake that you nurse for 30 minutes, and then leave.

We got in quick and the CM at the podium even honored our request to sit in one of the cars that had the full table inside as we were with young children. The shakes were great but that was about it. The service was nonexistant. I had to flag someone down anytime we needed anything such as extra napkins. The food wasn't horrible but wasn't even what I would call good. The atmosphere is great except that after about 15 minutes you are now watching reruns. It was so dark you couldn't really see what you were eating. Maybe that was planned:) This is one of the restaurants we will not return to.

    Terk-1 - This was only one of 2 meals that were a complete disappointment. The setting is cute, but that is all that I can say that is positive. The service was very slow, the onion rings were really greasy, the steak was nasty and fatty, and there was more fudge than ice cream on the sundae. Was really sorry I wasted a table service credit here. Won't go back again anytime soon.

    Forensicmom - We had a party of 6 (4 kids and 2 adults). They put us in a 6 seater car (3 rows of 2). It was VERY difficult to communicate orders with the kids and it was so dark in there that we had a hard time reading the menu. The food was very bad. The pasta was very spicy (for me), although it didn't mention it on the menu. The kids barely ate anything and my hubby got the steak. He started feeling sick about 1 hour after dinner and his stomach was not feeling well the entire next day. We would NEVER eat there again.

    AceDodger - I was surprised at the nice theme and set up of the restaurant. I have passed by this place so many times and always said I needed to stop in. The staff was very nice and friendly. The food wasn't up to par for me. I ordered the chicken with bow tie pasta. It was very bland. For the price, I could have gotten better elsewhere. I won't be going back to this place.

But the atmosphere is so cool and it's so unique so the second time we went back just to have dessert so we can still experience the atmosphere. :)

    nottoway - Food is marginal at best - the Reuben was pretty good. Kids fare was poor - and they give watered down soft drinks ( a common Disney restaurant complaint). Mediocre food expensive - it is so dark that it can be challenging to read a menu or see your food. Service was OK at best. I don't see much difference between their food, Prime Time and Brown Derby - all about the same. Melrose is our preferred MGM eatery.

    DisneyFamily123 - Don't expect fine dining here... we didn't care too much for the food last trip in 2009. But much happier this time in Dec. 2010. The onion rings and reuben sandwich were very good. They could come up with some better appetizers though... stick with the O-rings. Came back because our 5yr old son likes this place. It is fun to sit in the cars and watch the movie clips (could they get some new ones, please.. for us repeat visitors?). We will be back again!

    sgrigsby - This was our first table service of our last vacation during Christmas. Our waiter was the best waiter I have encountered at WDW. He didn't pressure the kids to order "extra" things that were not covered on the DDP. But when my youngest ordered a shake, he checked with me before putting in the order. The food was very good, my husband and I had the butcher steak and absolutely loved it. My teenage daughter loved the cucumber salad and still talks about it. I already have our reservation for our next trip in June because reservations here are a must in peak season, especially for dinner service.

    fastpass99 - A great theme, the kids loved eating on the front seat of the car while my wife and I got some romantic smooch time on the back seat :-) Food was OK. Waitress was friendly but service was slowish because of the popularity. We ate here on the dining plan in March 2010. I had a good but drippy Reuben's sandwich which I couldn't finish. My son enjoyed the ribs. My youngest son had a kid's meal with a hotdog I think. The black-and-white movie is fun to watch (reminded me of my youth) and cycles every hour. The waiters there must be driven insane by this nonstop madness!! LOL The worst part of this restaurant is that there is very little light, you can't see too much your plate. The lights come from the dashboard and they are placed too low. So things can get messy I give it a 9 because it's fun! We already have reserved it for our upcoming trip!

    Dr.Awesome - Tried this place on two different trips. It was the same both times. The food is absolutely abysmal, but the lighting is level with the table, so you can't actually see what you are eating. The seating was very cramped for my two children and myself. It felt a lot like eating on an airplane. The staff inside are completely miserable from seeing the movie loop so many times, and it shows. I really would not recommend to anybody. Go eat bad food in a dark room served by somebody who hates everything, and you have the same experience. On our second visit here, we were on the dining plan and left before dessert.     Disney-Obsessed - Walking into the sci-fi, I felt like I was in the 50's and I loved it until I tasted the food. I got pasta with artichoke hearts and some kind of sauce. It tasted like water had been put in my dish... My cousin got a burger and couldn't finish it, but the ribs were fantastic.

    eilasornivram - I've only been to the Sci-fi diner but once and will most likely not go back. The service is slow and the food is ordinary and expensive. The theme is very cool and unique- don't get me wrong but the big screen that plays old movies like in a real old fashioned drive in movie doesn't play an entire movie as I expected... in fact it plays clips over and over again. Since service is slow because it is a crowed and popular place, you end up watching the reel of old clips over and over again and it becomes an annoyance! As for the food it was good but nothing spectacular but that is to be expected because I think the theme of the restaurant trumps that. I ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip as an appetizer and the classic cheeseburger as my main entree...it got the job done but I've had way better food at quick service places all over WDW.

    MONDOdsb - I visited the Dine-In Theatre in June 2010 during Star wars Weekends with my wife and 2 sons (ages 6 and 7). We had reservations and used our Disney Dining Plan. The wait was nearly 30 minutes after our reservation time (likely due to the increased crowd for Star Wars.) Understanding that this was to be darker than usual based on the theme, I accepted the lack of light at first and gave way to the idea of a "night theme" (which is done quite well.) The "cars" are a bit smaller than i would like, and the table is barely deep enough to set your plate on. The tables are dimly lit, and you cannot see very much with the small amount of light provided by them due to the fact that the light is behind your plate, not over it. We knew when making our reservation that only two could sit side by side in these "cars", but it was odd to have a meal where I could not share a conversation with my entire family. By the time our meal arrived, I was more uncomfortable with the theme, as I could not clearly see my food to eat it. The wait staff were hard to reach, and in the dark we could never tell if the person flying past us was "our" server or not. This day was 90+ degrees, and our glasses stood empty for 10 minutes at a time. The food was fair, and to be honest the food we received at Quick Service locations throughout the parks was far better. This was the one dining experience in our trip where we were actually anxious to finish and leave. This restaurant is considered Table Service, but for the money (or table service voucher) you can find a better meal and better service nearly anywhere else in WDW.

    disneydorks - We ate here last week on the Deluxe DDP, with an ADR. The food was surprisingly good. The atmosphere is really neat, what can be neater than sitting with your honey in the back seat of an only Cadi at the drive in, just make sure you keep it PG there are kids there, lol, and you may be sitting with another family in the seats in front of you. We both started out with the Onion Rings which were awesome. The horseradish sauce with them was very good. For lunch I had the Rubin which was surprisingly good. It had a ton of meat on marble rye bread very tasty and had to be one of the better Rubin's I have ever had. The wifey had the burger which she said was very good to. For desert she had a tasty Sunday while I had an Oreo Shake. It was surprisingly good and is the only place we have an ADR for when we go back the Disney World in a few weeks.

    Carl Fredricksen - My kids wanted to do this since their generation is too young to really know what a drive in experience is like. I should have taken them to a drive in and saved my meal credit instead. The wait time to get in was beyond our reservation time, but not too much over. They seemed to be kind of disorganized at the front counter, but we weren''t in that big of a hurry. The place is very dark in keeping with the theming, but it makes it a little hard to read the menu''s. The tables in the "cars" are a little small, and I can see how someone who is "pooh-sized" might be uncomfortable and need one of the few tables in the back instead. The food was counter service quality overall, except the milkshakes and ice cream which were very good. The Reuben was the only thing that came close to overcoming mediocrity of the 4 meals we ordered, and even it didn''t blow me away. Our server was slow and brought out the wrong flavor of milkshake (chocolate and strawberry sound so similar when you are fighting to talk to her over the sounds of old movie trailers), but was not too big of a deal. And because the service was slow, we wound up watching some of the same trailers 3 times on the loops that ran on the "big screen" Was good for one visit, and the kids liked the experience, but next time we'll just stop by for a milkshake and try the 50''s Prime Time for food.

    ~CherryCakes~ - we sat in one one the cars. Our waitress was attentitive, but not too much so. My sister and I had the Cherry Cola to dink which was AMAZING!! Everyone chose to have a burger to eat except my sister who chose some bizzare pasta thing that smeled awful, my mum ate it and my sister had hers. for dessert, my dad had the cheesecake and me and my sis had a Fudge sundae, which was epic. Sure the food wasn't brilliant, but we didn't go there for the food.

Yeah you sit in a car and watch movies on a big screen but the food is blahh and sometimes depending on how many people are in your party, you get seated with other families.     mftmere - This was my hubby's and my 2nd visit to Sci-Fi....it is his favorite because of the memories of going there with his family and during his Disney College Internship....I think he is biased :) I'm not a fan. While it is a unique dining experience, I find the wait staff to be in need of more training (they mixed up our orders during both visits). Both hubby and I ordered salads for apps, cheeseburgers for entrees, and fruit salad for desserts. Hubby asked for his salad with no dressing, I asked for mine on the side. One came soaked with dressing, the other came without dressing....and without much else. Cheeseburgers were excellent. Accompanying fries aren't great....something about them affects my stomach in a weird way.... :( Ick! Fruit salad is pretty basic, but a nice and non-sugary palate cleanser. Hubby enjoys the milkshake as his DXDDP beverage, I like the cherry coke (although a little too much cherry!). Old Sci-Fi clips seem to flow on a 30-40 minute track....and then repeat. Food took too long (by the time we left we were almost finished with the second round of clips. And while dining in cars is a cool idea....I wish they were a little roomier. I should note that even though I am rating the Sci-Fi at a 4, my hubby would likely give it a 9. He's a fan....I am NOT!

We didn't wait long to be seated but our waitress wasn't friendly and took a long time to bring our meal. I didn't feel the food was a good value, but it's a unique place and so I'm glad we tried it.

    litlkar - My Family & I had dinner 3-21-10. Had ADR for 6:05, were seated immediatley. Our Server was really nice, and accomodating. The menu had a good amount of variety. My Husband & I had the Shrimp Pasta, the shrimp were huge & the dish was wonderful. My daughter got a choco milkshake, If you are able to get one, they are out of this world! The only negative I have, is that our wait for our food was long. We didn't mind after we tried the food.. Will go again....Oh !! the apple crisp is good too!! Big enough for two

    Dr. David Q. Dawson - After hearing many negative reviews about the food here, we were very pleasantly surprised. The Reuben sandwiches we had were very tasty! And the setting is one of the most unique in all of Walt Disney World. I could watch those movies for hours! Give it a try... very fun.

    MissBritt - My husband and I had dinner here on 12/15/09. We had ADRs, checked in 15 minutes early, and were seated right at the time of our reservation in the front of a car. Our server Michael was helpful, efficient, and seemed to really care about our dining experience. He even took several photos for us in the car without us having to ask. My husband and I were on the DXDDP. I had the spinach and artichoke dip (not too smooth, but not bad), butcher steak (great entree, but veggies were overcooked), a vanilla milkshake as my drink (not nearly as good as Steak 'n Shake) and cheesecake with caramel sauce (mediocre). My husband had the onion rings (wonderful), steak salad (he loved it), a Coke (can't mess that up) and the peanut butter chocolate cake (again, mediocre). We enjoyed watching the movie clips, but had a hard time seeing our food in the dark. Overall, we didn't feel the food was the most amazing, but great theming and great service made it stand out in our minds. I would not hesitate to return or recommend this restaurant.

    bryon - The look of the place is great. I never imagined a place to eat looking like this. Was really unbelievable. But...my experience was not well at this place. We showed up early for ADR and gave hostess our name. We waited 45 minutes before I thought I should say something. It seems our hostess left for the night right after we gave her our name and she never passed on information that wew ere waiting. We were shown to our seat at a "car" which I thought looked amazing. However, the hostess told us all three of us had to share the same "seat" which was a VERY tight fit. Seemed like you could only fit 2 people. But when I said something it was either this table or a non-car is the back corner. The quality of the food was poor and very slow to get to us. And when our food came it was luke warm at best. I imagine we just had a bad night and this place is much better than our experience. I really enjoyed the "look" but everything else turned us off.

Unfortunately all that's played on the huge screen is parodies of movie shorts, so there really is no substance. Except for the short cartoon that plays briefly, none of it kept the interest of the kids for very long.     bktaluvDW - We loved Sci-Fi Dine In! We had a 4:30 ADR and were seated within 10 minutes. We had a car right up front and I don't believe my kids have ever been as quiet as they were at Sci Fi! They were totally in a trance watching the old movie clips, and loved everything about it. (13 yr old son & 8 yr old daughter) Our server totally made our trip the most fun meal we had at Disney all week. He was so funny and checked on us every 5 minutes to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so much fun, took several pictures of our family in the car, had my hubby and I make out in the front and acted like a professional photographer, even yelling at us to "work it!!" He made the kids laugh everytime he came to our car. It became our funny line of the week and they still laugh about it to this day. The food was delicious - ribs were perfect and I had the shrimp pasta which was awesome! Can't wait to return to SciFi in March 2010.

    edithkitty - the first and ever give only 1 mark out of 10,want to give 0. because the waitress is SO RUDE, hate her a lot, i think she discriminate us, because we are young couples,well we stayed at grand floridian,we are not cheap.we are the boss of a company. why she is discriminate us, she cannot tell by our appearances! my boyfriend just ask her not to toast my buns and she is so rude and said "u should tell me eariler, but not now, SO do u want to tell the chef right now"also said something really mean.that woman about 50 years old, just wanna ask her to retired, too rude.is that hard if we just nicely said can we not toast the buns???what kind of services is that.i just ask my boyfriend don't argue with that old lady, cause she is crazy, we do not like to argue with the crazy woman, that lowering our status, i have never being treat like that before, HATE her a lot, just fire her.OK? i love disney world is because everyone is nice there with good services, that is the reason that we like to spend $8000US for every trip stayed at grand floridian, i don't know if she thinks young couples cannot give her a lot of tips of something. i am a person that care a lot about the services. we willing to paid a lot, but we will never going to this restaurant again.also, i even crying because i hate people treat me like THAT.hate this experiences.we don't care the food, cause i just don't have mood to eat anything there.!!!!

    Mgoblue44 - People seem to be on one side or the other with Sci-Fi. If you are able to get past the limited menu, there is much to like about the restaurant. We've been three times in the last three years and have enjoyed every trip. Our waiter has always been top-notch. We have all found menu item we like so aren't bothered by the limited menu. I always get the ribs, the quality of them has varied all three times, but were never unacceptable. My kids (11 &7) are never quiter during the trip then when we are here. Our next trip in planned for '10 and this is still on the list.

    Madi100 - We have eaten at Sci-Fi twice. The first time was about 10 years ago, so we decided to try it again not too long ago. Big mistake. We waited forever to be seated. Maybe this would be a different experience with children, but we were all alone. We were not overly impressed with the overly priced food. We left saying we would do this never again.

    PIRATEGIRL007 - I will only give Sci Fi a recommendation because it is all about the experience there. The decor and classic sci fi movies make the mediocre food worth the price. If you go into the dining room with expectations that it is all about the fun and eating in a car rather than the quality of the food you will be satisfied. Sci Fi is not for serious foodies, but it will please the average family that is looking for a step above counter service burgers. Spring for the light up ice cubes in the kids drinks, they are a little pricey but they will love them.

    missminniemouse - Our children (ages 9 and 13) love this restaurant. They think it is a lot of fun to sit in the cars. My son even got a "speeding ticket" on our most recent trip. If you get a good server at this restaurant, it will really enhance the experience. A few weeks ago we had a server that really played up to the fact that my son was sitting in the drivers seat of the car. The food is good here, but not great.

    luna99 - My family and I love this restaurant for the unique atmosphere and delicious hamburgers! I always order a hamburger here and believe they are some of the best on property! The spinach dip is really good as are the milkshakes! If you are there for dinner you can still order the burgers even though they are not on the menu, just ask! sometimes the severs will really get into character and play with the guests, saying you will get a speeding ticket etc..etc. The cartoons are old and cheesy but fun! The wait can be long so make sure you get an advanced dining reservation! this place is not to be missed... you have to try it at least once!

    A.Mickey - The problem is people order the wrong thing, stick with the burgers and milkshakes here and you won't be disappointed! One negative is the loop isn't long enough, about 3/4 of the way into the meal you see the same thing you saw at the beginning of your meal. Also the car/tables are really small, I wish they were a tad bit larger to accomodate larger people.

    Princess Figment - This meal was AWFUL. My husband and I had lunch here on April 17th. We had an ADR for 12:15, but weren't seated until about a 1/2 hour later. When we finally were seated, we were put in a "car" with two other couples, in the middle seat. We, and the couple in front of us were not on the Disney Dining Plan. The couple behind us was. In addition, the woman sitting behind us also had a bunch of dietary restrictions. All of this added up to a very odd and uncomfortable meal, since our server treated us as one table, and one party, even though we did not know each other and only one couple was ordering appetizers and desserts. The other two couples were anxious to get back to the park. My husband and I ordered burgers- he also had a chocolate shake. The shake was good, but impossible to drink. Definitely more of a dessert (it needs a spoon). The burgers were so-so, but both of us got extremely sick later that day so I would never eat them again, nor would I recommend them to anyone planning on going on bumpy rides. The concept of this restaurant is cool, but the food is truly awful. The place also has a weird vibe. It is so quiet you can hear a pin drop, which is weird for a restaurant at lunch time. Definitely would not return.

    piman842 - I went to the Sci Fi Dine-In Theater (SFDIT) in June of 2008 and was relatively impressed by the restaurant. I thought the theming was interesting and I was intrigued by the way the tables were created (although, I was 13 at the time, so my enjoyment may rely heavily on the fact that I was, and still am, a teenager). The reel of Sci-fi clips was fun to watch (at least for the first time that it went around), and the restaurant did feel somewhat like a drive-in. However, I was disappointed by the selection on the menu. There were few options, although I was satisfied with my meal. However, the restaurant still seemed a little over-priced. I would recommend this restaurant for a "different" experience than what one is used to, but do not be looking for a menu with a plethora of choices, seeing as you will be disappointed.

We saw our server three times during the meal. 1)Drink and food order 2) deliver drinks 3)get bill. Another server brought the food and we never recieved a refill. If it were for my wife: tip would have been $0 instead of $1.

    tanyabanana - We went into this meal with with low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the quiet, cool atmosphere. Even though it was a little dark, that did not bother us at all. It was one of the quieter restaurants we went to, a combination of the dark and cool combined with the novelness of eating in cars while watching a big screen made for very well behaved kids. We ordered onion rings, which were very good and I usually do not like rings. I had a turkey sandwich that while the turkey was good, the bread was like eating dried sandpaper. We has strawberry milkshakes that were yummy and the cheesecake was very creamy and tasty. I would eat here again, but would avoid the turkey!

If on the dining plan, it is easier to justify going in just for the scenery, but not if you don't get that savings.

Like something you would get at your average chain restaurant. Spinach dip, burgers, turkey clubs, shakes, etc. The setting of this restaurant is what makes it. I don't remember anything bad about it and think it would be really fun for kids. The only issue I could see is that you are seated in back of each other instead of facing each other, just like in a car.

    pperfectmom - This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of WDW. I love coming out of the Florida heat into a cool, dark location. The menu is a little limited but you can't go wrong with classic drive-in food like burgers, shakes and fries. The tomato soup is also very good. The theming in this place is awesome and it is so much fun to sit in a car, watch movie clips and eat.

    LMO429 - We make it a point to eat lunch here on our yearly trip to WDW. We love the atmosphere and enjoy an hour away from walking around in the park in this nice air conditioned fun restaurant. The food is just ok here; nothing spectacular but I think if you stick to burgers/fries and milkshakes you will not be disappointed. We find the portions to be huge here and never clear our plates. We make it a point to hit tower of terror and rock n roller coaster before our lunch ;0)

    MikeWD - Other than the interesting concept of watching old movie trailers from your car (your table), this restaurant was not a good experience for us. Perhaps we just went on a bad day. The food was overpriced and not very good. The bad food was only eclipsed by the very bad service. The waiter was inattentive. I've had better service at a drive through. I would skip this one.

    dustyraye - I have to admit, the menu at the Sci-Fi held little appeal for me since I can't eat things like burgers and fries for which they are best known. I made a reservation only because my DP is a huge science-fiction fan, so I knew she'd get a kick out of the experience. I, on the other hand, am not a sci-fi fan at all, so this was strictly for her. I was prepared to be a sport and go along for the ride, order a soup just to have something to sip on, and eat something later. Boy, was I wrong. First, the theming here is wonderful, and we both thoroughly enjoyed the sci-fi clips and cartoons that were playing throughout the meal. (OK, I was mostly laughing about how campy they were, but it was still fun for both of us.) I ordered the BLT soup, and DP ordered the Smoked Turkey sandwich. The soup was wonderful - a creamy tomato-basil soup topped with bacon and shredded lettuce with a crispy herb crouton. The sandwich was amazing - smoked turkey with bacon, lettuce and tomato served on a fabulous multigrain bread, with avocado mayo, with a choice of fries or a cucumber-melon salad on the side. It was huge - more than enough for us to share along with the soup. We had a lot of great meals that week, including several of the signature resturants, but by the end of the trip, we were still talking about that sandwich! We enjoyed our meal so much that we ended up going back on our last day for lunch, and taking a sandwich to go so we could enjoy it on the plane ride home from Orlando. We will definitely be adding the Sci-Fi to our must-do list for future trips!

    SamIAm21 - I have been to Sci-Fi two times now. The first time was so-so. I enjoyed sitting in the cars, watching the old sci-fi flicks, but when dinner was served, it was not good. I know I started with the onion rings which weren't crisp or crunchy at all, but soggy as if they'd been sitting under a lamp for quite some time. Also, I remember having a salad, but I thought it was extremely poor quality for the price. It had strips of beef in it that were as tough as my shoe. My daughter was pleased with her meal, but it was hard to screw up macaroni and cheese. We decided to go back last summer, mainly out of hunger and desperation, and had a really good meal. So, it was quite a surprise. I had the ribs, which were really delicious, my daughter chose something from the kids menu and zipped right through it, which meant it was probably good. Our server last summer was the "perfect" server, friendly and sweet, but not overly so. My daughter was wearing her birthday button. She asked if she could bring her a sundae and a surprise for her birthday, and we agreed. I assumed the sundae would be something small, but it turned out to be one of those huge parfait glass sundaes with all the trimmings. She also received a birthday card signed by all the castmembers. Very cool! This visit to Sci-Fi completely changed my mind about the restaurant and we hope to return on our next trip in October. Hopefully, we'll have the same wonderful experience!

    mmmears - My family loves this place. After years of avoiding it because of bad reviews, I decided to make a lunch ADR after a good friend told me that it was her family's favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic. Sitting in the cars, being served "retro" food, watching the silly movies at the drive-in is so much fun. It's a nice, cool, dark, quiet place for lunch -- such a respite from a busy, crowded theme park. The shakes are great, as are the ice-cream sundaes. The burgers are very good, and come with your choice of toppings. Sandwiches are also good here. It's pretty reasonable for the price, too, considering all the theming, the location in the middle of DHS, and the great food. And the service here has always been terrific! My only complaint is that we always have to wait about 20 mins to be seated, even when we have ADRs.

    schimj - My DW & I fell in love with Sci-Fi the first time we ate there and it has been one of the resturants we constantly go back to. We love the milkshakes and the spinach-artichoke dip, and the entrees are pretty good too. I typically go for the mushrooms swiss burger and DW has the chicken sandwich. The food is simple, the main reason to go is for the "show." I love the old sci-fi trailers and drive-in setup. We can't wait to go back in June and Sept to take our parents there so they can enjoy it too!

And when you do, you often end up at a "picnic table" which IMHO takes away from what is "fun" about this place ( the "car" seats ). that being said, we were seated in a car. The atmosphere with the scary 50's movies is fun, the servers occasionally react to the movies on screen and enhance all that. The food however was very plain sandwiches, nothing to write home about.

    *NikkiBell* - Sci Fi is a favorite restaurant of mine since my first visits to Walt Disney World as a child. I have always thought that the themeing was incredible and am so happy to see it hold its magic over the years. The menu is your typical burger fare, but does have a few other dishes to tempt those wanting more than this. My boyfriend had the St. Louis ribs and thought they were decent, at best. I always get a cheeseburger and found it to be good, but nothing to write home about. I did very much enjoy the spinach dip appetizer. It had a very creamy consistency and nice flavor. I recommend this restaurant to those wanting a fun lunch spot as a break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. It is cool and dark which can also be a plus in the peak of the Florida sun. Although you won't find fine dining here, it is a unique eatery to try at least once if not more.

    fightinfire21 - We have ate here twice now and we have enjoyed it both times. The atsmophere is great. We love the old car tables. It is also dark and cool in here which is nice on a hot day. The menu is pretty basic fare but the food has always been good. Service here has also been good. We will return here on future trips.


This restaurant has one of the more unique themes found in Disney World. Modeled after Drive In Theatres, you sit "under the stars" in 50's era cars and watch old clips from science fiction movies while you dine.The movies clips are unintentionally funny and include "Plan 9 From Outer Space", the "Amazing Colossal Man" and other B Movie classics.

The majority of cars hold 6 people sitting in three rows of two seats. There are a few tables in the back of the restaurant.

One of the items that the Sci Fi is best known for is the milkshakes. The rest of the menu ranges from burgers, to pasta to sandwiches, ribs and salads.
