    keneka - I love Le Cellier & it has been a family favorite since our 1st trip in 1994, back in the days when it was just a counter service restaurant. The food & service are always excellent - however, I'm sorry to say that our last visit was incredibly disappointing & literally left a bad taste in our mouths. SERVICE I love the waiters/waitresses in this restaurant they are always polite & attentive, yet our last visit we had a waitress that was none existent. After we were seated we ordered our drinks & entrees & my dad asked for the wine list - I think this was the last time we saw our waitress as she spent at least 40 mins talking to two men at one table, the rest of her tables were went without any service during this time. When we finally did see her again she brought my dad the wine list which he had asked for when first seated & he said he wouldn't be ordering any now as he wanted it to accompany his steak (which he already eaten). By the way, she was there when it came to tip time ;) FOOD The food at Le Cellier is exceptional, especially the steaks. On our table of 3 adults we ordered 2 filet mignons with mushroom risotto & 1 ny steak. Although all the steaks were cooked to perfection, all 3 were incredibly salty. I always order the NY Steak which used to come with yukon mash but now is with potato pavé - mine was raw/uncooked potato inside - very disappointing, as this is my favorite steak dish anywhere (even outside WDW) and I usually have to stop myself from licking the plate it's that delicious, however this time I left at least half a plate of food & was extremely disappointed. I don't want to put people off Le Cellier, as this will always be my favorite WDW restaurant - I just hope we just got an off-day.

    BigHead850 - We waited to long to reserve Le Cellier for dinner but our family really wanted to eat there so I made lunch reservation. Although we had a great meal and the steaks were good, I wouldn't recommend making lunch reservations. The food is expensive and the atmosphere is more adult like. I would have felt better eating here for dinner. But for the most part we enjoyed the food and awesome pretzel bread and beer.

    JLa01844 - I must admit, I tried Biergarten for the first time on my December 2012 trip and I wasn't blown away. Now don't get me wrong, the food was good. The atmosphere is great too, I just think this restaurant is a little too hyped up. We had an ADR and still waited over an hour past our ADR time...mind you we arrived the "requested" 15 minutes early too. Would I go back on future trips? Yes! Would I care if I couldn't get an ADR...umm, nope. Overall, I think it is a good place to eat...and it certainly is better than eating chicken fingers and burgers! But it wasn't Magical for me.

    lisakramer - We had dinner for 2 here one evening. The meal was very good, but not spectacular. I'd take Chefs De France again over La Cellier, but that's just me. We had a food allergy situation and the chef came out to the table to talk us through our choices. He as very kind and accommodating. The dining room is very small and cozy, but does have a nice feel to it.

    smcabee - Wife and I ate here in Oct. 2012. We have frequent Le Cellier many times in the past and this time was no different. I had the Lobster Salad and Salmon and my Wife had the Cheese Soup and Mushroom Filet. Both meals were excellent. Food was hot and delicious. We had no room at all for dessert. My only negative for this restaurant is that it has become so popular that they have really raised the prices. If we were not Tables in Wonderland card holders Im not sure if we would continue to go.

    cookietwinmama - Finally after many years at Disney World, we got a reservation for lunch. After waiting almost a 1/2 hour after our reservation time we were seated. We all ordered either the filet or strip steak and I got the cheddar cheese soup(fabulous). The bread sticks and pretzels were delicious and the meal didn't disappoint either. The filet was like butter and the risotto was to die for. Dessert was great too. Glad we were able to eat there before it turns to a 2-table service credit(boo).

    xCourxCorex - Diners: Myself (22) and Boyfriend (24) on the Regular Dining Plan (paid ~$20/per person per day; upgrade from Free QS plan with our reservation package). We dined here for a lunch on 9/17. Our reservation was for 11:50, although we were seated closer to 12:00 after checking in with the hostess outside, and then waiting quite a bit inside. Our server was Zach, who was fine, but I noticed as our meal went on that some of the other servers were interacting a bit more with their guests, explaining the bread offerings, chatting, etc. There was nothing inherently wrong with our service, but overhearing the others made me want to switch!! We both decided to get some drinks from the bar menu: I went with a "Torontopolitan" - vodka, chambord and some juice; Bf tried 2 different beers (can't remember which!) My cocktail was a bit on the strong side, and to be honest I had trouble finishing it. Bf however enjoyed both of his beers with lunch. We also split a bowl of the cheddar cheese soup, which we had with the breads. It is very good, although very rich and heavy, so I do recommend splitting between 2+ people! The pretzel bread was my favorite, but all 3 varieties were great :) I had the NY strip with cream cheese mashed potatoes, and bf ordered the petit filet, and we split a side of green beans and tomatoes. Everything was excellent. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were great - very nice traditional steakhouse plates. However, after enjoying bread, cheddar cheese soup, a 10oz steak, mashed potatoes and veggies... I was not really in any shape to be eating dessert. Nevertheless we each ordered.. I had the chocolate "moose" and bf the creme brulee. The moose was cute (comes out decorated like a little moose head with maple leaf antlers!) but nothing special. Bf enjoyed the creme brulee, but again, nothing spectacular. It was a bit pricey (our total was $115 - 2 beers, 1 cocktail, soup, side of veggies, 2 entrees and 2 desserts) - although our out of pocket cost was only around $37 thanks to the dining plan. Also, not being able to speak for differences in lunch/dinner service, I don't know if it is worth 2 TS credits for a dinner time meal. It was great food, okay service/waiting, and just fair on the price/availability of reservations. Would probably consider trying other restaurants before we returned to Le Cellier, although if you're seeking the "steakhouse" experience, this is likely your best bet!

    bluejasmine - Eatten here many times and I always get the same thing.. Mushroom filet and sub the rissoto for cream cheese mash potatoes. The filet is so tender and the mushroom sauce devine.. The potatoes are my favorite and now I make them at home. Maple creme brule is also my favorite and so yummy! Will only have lunch here now tho b/c while it is very good its not sigmature material to me..

    fosm001 - I was able to surprise my DH with ADR for 2:25 for our anniversary. We brought our kids along (ages 2 and 4) not sure I would do that again. It was our next to last day at Disney ( we had been there for 9 days already) so they were tired and a little cranky - having to use the bathroom a few times. Well we (ok I, since my husband was one the outside and he was the one taking them to the bathroom) got looks like "how dare you bring kids in here". The food was not as good as I had hoped. I had ordered the pre-fixe - chicken sausage is very spicy and the steak skillet (which came out wrong at first, I asked for no blue cheese and it had it in the skillet and on the salad) and the moose which was very cute and tasty. DH ordered a steak as well, honestly Grand Floridian Cafe had a better steak. Pretzel bread was very good though and the service was OK.

    bellebookworm9 - My mom and I dined here for lunch in May 2010. Our ADR was for 12:55pm; we arrived just a few minutes early and were seated nearly right away at a table for four near the entryway. Our waitress was Dana from Manitoba; she was very friendly and provided excellent service. We chose the prixe fixe menu: the cheddar cheese soup, shaved prime rib sandwich, and maple creme brulee. We found the soup to be strong and a bit salty; however when the breadsticks were dipped in it, it was fine (the breadsticks were great!). Our sandwich was amazing. It was cut in half for us and it was so very fresh. Mom just kept saying "Mmmmmm". We couldn't finish the whole thing, it was so large. It was served with a side of potato salad and a pickle. Mom liked the potato salad; I didn't really care for it, but I also don't really like red peppers, and they were prominent in the dish. Our dessert, the maple creme brulee, was very good as well. I always thought this was a dish that was supposed to be warm, but on the two occasions I've had it, it's been cold both times. No matter, it was amazing! As we were celebrating our birthdays, "Happy Birthday" was written on the plate in chocolate and there were two candles placed in strawberries on the edge of the brulee dish. The strawberries were very sweet and juicy. The service was wonderful and the food good. However, I don't think our experience lived up to all the hype. Perhaps if we had gotten steak, it would have been different. Am I glad I did it? Yes. Will I rush back every time? No.

    Terk-1 - The server was nice, but slow. Was surprised that the breadsticks were gone (except the pretzel) and replaced by rolls. These were really hard (stale) and dry. The carrots I ordered were way undercooked and cold. Another disappointment was that the Chocolate Whiskey Cake they used to have is gone and now it's 3 little mini desserts (bite sized). This was a surprise, as this is always a must dine for me and have always had good food & service.

    lauran - Our group of nine almost missed this reservation due to a bus issue. We had to wait at our resort for over an hour for an epcot bus. By the time the bus showed up and got us to Epcot (I think Miss Daisy was driving the bus)we had seven minutes to make our reservation. My sister and I ran back and checked in, but we had to wait for a group to make it before the reservation would be considered met. It was close. We ended up having to wait twenty minutes to be seated. Originally our reservation was for two tables under two different numbers, but they put us at one large table all together. So that was nice. The service was excellent. The steaks were all cooked perfect. The desserts (especially the maple creme brulee and this raspberry dessert) were both excellent. We also got a side of the bacon brussell sprouts. We were told the serving would serve 3-4 people. It was more like two, if you were lucky. For lunch, some felt the steaks were a little small. The bread before the meal was a nice addition. The cheddar beer soup was also fought over. The child in our group ordered it and we ended up passing it around the table. So overall we would recommend this place. On the DDP we chose to do the lunch but would pay OOP for this meal.

    Nadjalu - We went to this restaurant twice for special occasions. Once on my bday and the other our anniversary (a year apart). This was before the 2TS credits went into affect, and it was for dinner. I will say right now even though the food is good (and I will explain) in no way it is good enough to spend 2TS credits on. Now onto the food: I always got the prime rib. It is delish, so tasty and tender you can cut it with a fork! It is not over spiced, just enough salt to enhance the natural flavors of the meat. Of course I got the cream cheese mashed and mmm mmm good! DH got the coffee rubbed strip and loved it. Both times the steaks were cooked to perfection, so the food was an A+ in our book. Where the disappointment comes in is the staff. Both servers were a bit bullying. They insisted that we get the filet. It wasn't just a suggestion but an insistance and then became a bit argumentative when I declined. Infact when I insisted I wanted the prime rib the female server said "you will be disappointed and don't blame me. It isn't very good". Beg to differ, it was great. So I am not sure why the push for that cut??? Also neither time were we made to feel special on the occasion. Yes the servers said "happy bday or congrats" but that was it. No talk of anything let alone a cupcake. So for this "special" restaurant we are done. It is good, but not good enough anymore.

    Mommax4 - This is not worth 2 dining credits!!! The steaks are very good. But Management (Tom) on duty was condescending and arrogant. Our server was nice, but had to many customers to take care of. Slow food service and deserts were not up to signature standing.

    Andy48 - My family and I ate at Le Cellier for dinner in late February, just before they switched to 2 DDP credits for dinner. It might well be that things improved after March 1st, but from our pre-Signature era experience, we felt the food was the only thing that lived up to the hype. Food: I started off with the tomato stack appetizer - very good, although the onions were a bit strong. The pretzel bread was a big hit with everyone at the table. But it was the main courses that really wowed us - my wife and I both had the filet with mushroom risotto, and everything on the plate was outstanding. The level of doneness was spot-on for both our steaks, and the risotto was delicious. My older son had the kids' grilled steak, which he thought was pretty good, and my younger son had the kids' pizza (nothing special). Dessert was a bit inconsistent: the maple creme brulee was actually a bit of a disappointment, but the semifreddo with chilled fruit soup was a refreshing surprise. Service: Unfortunately, the service and kitchen just couldn't seem to get their act together on the night we ate there. Our server, although very pleasant and eager to please, seemed completely overwhelmed. Drinks weren't refilled promptly, and the time between courses was very long. In fairness, I don't think the kitchen did her any favors - she repeatedly apologized to us for how slow each course was coming. It took us over 90 minutes to eat dinner, and we weren't exactly trying to stretch things out for a leisurely meal. Given both the reputation of the restaurant and the time we were there (5:30pm, hardly the dinner rush), we were amazed at how disorganized the overall service was. Atmosphere: To be blunt, it was essentially a three-ring circus in a lovely wine cellar. The decor and surroundings suggested an intimate setting, but the noise was deafening, the vibe was more like Chef Mickey's than a steakhouse. Again, this may have changed with going to 2 DDP credits, but I don't suspect you'll get a quiet evening of fine dining unless you go much later. Bottom Line: Outstanding food, but we were really disappointed that the service didn't measure up to the steaks. Hopefully, they've straightened things out since going Signature... but that just raises the expectations even higher.

    EWL - Our first time at Le Cellier and now we understand why it's so popular. Lunch here was our best TS meal at WDW this trip (we were on free dining). Service was outstanding. We were leery of the cheese soup after seeing mediocre reviews but tried it and it was fantastic (although we shared a mug and that was plenty), pretzel bread was delicious, and the signature filet mignon was outstanding with an excellent mushroom risotto. Whiskey chocolate cake was a great ending; s'mores were very good but not quite as tasty as hoped for, and the maple creme brulee nicely done. Glad to get in before it shifts to Signature Dining (the server made a point of noting that they had already started using the "new" Signature flatware); not sure we'd spend 2 TS for dinner, but lunch will still be 1 TS if you can snag a reservation.

    DisneyFamily123 - Dec. 2010 - The NY strip and filet were very good. But I don't understand what people like about the cheese soup - bland, tastes like yuk, and looks like vomit... Anyway, we waited about 20 minutes to be seated but when we were leaving, people said they were waiting an hour. The staff here try to entertain in the lobby (too cold outside). I'd come back here but prefer other places with more theming or entertainment. Changing to 2 dining plan credits for dinner. The menu will need a major overhaul to be considered signature dining and compete with restaurants like Citricos. As is, no way I'd use 2 credits.

    sgrigsby - Best service at WDW...the food is extremely good. Atomosphere is dark and isn't loud like other restaurants. May be expensive if your not on the dining plan, but worth every penny. My daughter still raves about the risotto and the filet. We will go back everytime we visit Epcot.

    forever a child - DD16 and I at here on 12/12 for the first time. We had just arrived at WDW and checked into our resort at CSR. We had reservations which I had made 6 months prior to our visit. This was the first time my daughter had ever had filet and it was wonderful. Our server was a very sweet young lady and our service was good. She brought out DD some more pretzel bread after we asked for more. Our drink glasses were kept full and the staff we came in contact with was very friendly. It was a wonderful evening and start to our Disney vacation.

    f.chadw - Thought the majority of the food we had was good. My mother and I had the Filet My wife had the Chicken Crepe Kids had the Burger, Salmon Burger and the Prime Rib Sandwich. Had the Cheddar cheese soup. Very good. Both of us thought the Filet was excellent. Wife said Chicken was good, but she wouldn't have it again. Kids' Burger and and Salmon Burger were good. The Prime Sandwich however, was ok at best. Not bad enough to complain about, just ok. Had the infamous Maple Creme Brulee. Very Good. Also had a piece of Chocolate Whiskey cake. That was good too.

    Grace4me - This is hands down my favorite place to eat in all the "World" - the New York Strip is divine, the cheese soup is so tasty and the creme brulee isn't bad either! I substituted my Yukon Potatoes for Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes. Oh yes, so good! One of my most favorite things is that when they open the restaurant, the staff sings the Canadian anthem. I think it's great to experience the culture. I love how each room is themed with a different province in Canada. Oh yes, and the pretzel breadsticks . . . I can't get enough of them!!! If you can't get ressies, don't give up. This last time we went, we walked in right when the restaurant was opening and we were able to get a "walk in" reservation. So, faint of heart, don't give in!

    Granfan - It was to be our special anniversary meal.We were seated in about 15 minutes after our reservation time but were given the worst table--right in the entrance where we had to watch the floor manager pace around and motion for the hostesses to bring people in.She never made eye contact or spoke to us at all. Someone came and took our drink order but we were left with no water and no attention for a very long time. When the waitress came to take our order we still had no drinks so I asked if she could get someone to bring us some water. She said , "Oh, you should have asked for water." Excuse me? Well, anyway we had the mushroom filet/rissoto and the NY Strip/ green beans. Both were very good. The maple creme brulee was just ok as was the chocolate "moose".I'm glad I did it once but the experience was a disappointment.

    kaetra - It's pretty hard to get a reservation here, but I read that if you walk up right at the beginning of lunch or dinner service there's a chance you can still get a table. So, we checked at the podium at 11:25am and the host said we could have a table. My husband is Canadian, so we wanted to give it a try. I ordered the Filet Mignon, DH had the steak sandwich, and DD had grilled chicken off the kids menu. The server recommended the filet highly and said you could cut it with a fork. That proved to not be the case, and my filet actually had a bit of gristle in it. It was definitely not the best filet I ever had, and I was literally sawing away with my serrated steak knife at the medium-cooked steak to get it cut. DH said his sandwich was really good, but not at all worth the price. DD's chicken was overcooked and dry, and the green beans were practically green raisins they were so overcooked. Also, since it's a Canadian restaurant we assumed we could get a side of gravy for the french fries, but even though gravy was visible in menu dishes our server said we could not have a side of gravy as all the gravy dishes were "pre-made" - whatever that means. Our waitress was very sweet, but she was also very, very slow and it was not at all busy. This experience definitely did not live up to the "must-eat-here-it's-always-booked-six-months-in-advance" hype. We will not be going back.

    disneydorks - We ate here last week on the Delux DDP, with an ADR. (hint if you are even dreaming of going here on vacation you better be ready to book an ADR at least 5-6 months out or you are not getting am ADR, and don't even dream of trying without one) The food and service were by far the best on property that is not a Signature Dining Experience, although I am sad to see it will be Signature in March 2011. For starters I had the Muscles which were AMAZING, and make sure if you order it to save a little extra pretzel bread because all of that left over garlic from the muscles is amazing on the bread. The wife had the Cheddar Cheese Soup which was again amazing, I am not a cheese soup person and I thought it was beyond good. We both had the NY Strip which was HUGE, but was the one of the best NY Strips I have ever had. I got a side of mushrooms with it, and that was huge better make sure you at least have 2-4 people to share them with because it is a frying pan full of them. For dessert I had the Creme Brulee which was awesome and the wife had the Chocolate Moose which was very cute and very good too.

    Disney-Obsessed - The service was very good and the food was decent. (personally, i prefer Kona's steak) The cheese soup was good with the bread, but our bread got hard very fast. it was kinda hard to bite into! (in my opinion, it's not as good as everyone says)

    teerocky - we had a reservation at 8:25pm... arrived about 10min early and got seated right at reservation time. I had the strip and it was one of the best tasting steaks I've had in a long time. My wife had the filet with mushroom risotto. the Risotto was incredible. we both ordered some of the famous cheese soup. It was very good. also must try the baked Mac and cheese. if you go, try to ask for Barry as your server. he was tops...

    hstrickland - Our waitress was one of the best we had while at Disney World. She was "Earning Her Ears", but was outstanding. This is one restaurant that we continually return to. Everything that we have ever eaten at this restaurant was top notch. The creme brulee was to die for! The steaks were cooked perfectly. Will certainly go back on our next trip.

    mftmere - This was our first Le Cellier experience and it did not disappoint! I read numerous helpful reviews before we went...and took many of you up on your suggestions! Our waitress was wonderful and was thrilled to see us sporting Vancouver Olympic t-shirts (in fact, I don't remember a single cast member who did not compliment our tee's!). She made several recommendations, several of which we followed. My husband, at our waitress's suggestion, had the Spicy Chicken and Chipotle Sausage and loved it! At the suggestion of NUMEROUS reviewers, I selected the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup (YUUUM!!!) -- using the Pretzel breadsticks as dippers!! Also, our waitress informed us that we could select a virgin frozen drink as our nonalcoholic bev. on the Deluxe Dining Plan.....mine was Raspberry, hubby's was Pina Colada....again YUM!!! Our entrees were New York Strip Steaks -- also YUUUM! Hubby's was medium rare -- lots of pink and red, to his satisfaction, mine was medium well -- also perfectly cooked! Can you say STUFFED? I had raspberry sorbet as a palate cleanser/dessert...hubby didn't have anything. VERY TASTY!! Can't wait to go back to Le Cellier!

    sbprincess - My husband and I ate here on May 14, 2010 for dinner. We waited about 20 minutes past our ADR but the weather was nice outside. We were on the regular dining plan but I wanted the cheddar cheese soup for an app. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. I had read reports of food being too salty recently and I was a little worried since I don't use much salt in my cooking at home. I would have to say the soup was a little on the salty side but not quite as much as I had anticipated. Of course the pretzel bread was fantastic, but the butter was ice cold. I ordered the mushroom filet and my husband ordered the coffee rubbed strip steak (which I don't see on wdwinfo's menu). I asked for medium and my DH asked for medium well. My steak was absolutely wonderful but I could have made a meal just out of the risotto! The second best meal I had all trip. My husband's steak was more on the medium to medium rare side but he didn't seem to notice. (I think they're better that way so I didn't say anything to him - haha). He enjoyed his immensly and also loved the mashed potatoes. Before our entrees were brought out I asked for more pretzel bread but that never came. I figured I didn't need it so I just dropped it :) For dessert we both ordered the maple creme brulee. I had never tried creme brulee at all before this but had heard good things. This dish was not for me, although DH really enjoyed it. I don't think that it was that Le Cellier's version is bad though. I just don't think I like this dish at all. I know getting an ADR for this place is hard and it seems to get mixed reviews overall but we really enjoyed our experience. The tables were a little close together and our server wasn't outstanding but the food made up for that to me!

    xipetotec - We were here for the first time in 2008, and absolutely loved it. Had always wondered why we never went here before. Not quite the same experience this time around. The service was still great, ( props to my fellow Canadians ), but my risotto was a little "firm" and my filet mignon was overcooked. Everyone else in the group seemed happy with their however. Atmosphere is still intimate, "wine cellar" feel. Still needed to reserve forever in advance, but I think next time we'll try something different.

I am not surprised why this is one of the hardest places to get a reservation to in Disney. My favorite meal of the week and certainly something to look forward to on a return trip.

    gray52 - This was our third time here. I am so heart broken to say it was by far the worst meal we had during our 8 day stay... and that includes the counter service meals. My steak was tough and too salty (and i like'em a little salty). I complained and the manager came to my table. I explained what was wrong and had another brought out. The second one started out well and turned salty half way through. They are over-tenderizing the steaks. They offered an apology and that was it. My potatoes tasted like they were made two days earlier and thrown in the microwave. This and Chefs de France used to be top notch. Now, a complete disappointment. They are probably still at the top of the list of Disney sit-downs, but that isn't saying a whole lot these days. We will no longer be paying for the Dining Plan.

    Joolish1313 - After all the hype of "THE steak house' I was not impressed. I did enjoy my pasta (I'm not a big beef eater) but the 3 other people with me did not enjoy their steaks. They were fatty and over cooked. We also felt that we were rushed, but then couldn't get our waiters attention whne we needed more water. Overall, it was too dark and the food was so-so. I'd recommend another place for dinner.

    Ahabart - This was by far our favorite meal during our trip. Dh and I both had the filet and it was fantastic. Also great were the cheese soup and breads. The kids both had steak. One was better than the other, but both were great considering it was a kid's TS meal. We were not charged the additional $2. We planned part of our trip around this meal and would do it again!

    sherrylynn99 - I would love to say that I have first hand experience, but, although I was actually there - I had severe mourning sickness with my twins! My family, however, loved this place! The theming in Canada is beautiful and you wait in an area that is very nice. My kids actually participated in a kidcot station while we waited and this was great for them! My dad, step-mom, husband and 10-year-old daughter all requested to do this one again in October - this was the only "necessary" one they all wanted - at any time, any day! So, we are going again, and this time, I get to remember the experience and eat some darn food!

    Schminston-Mo - Sorry to jump on the bandwagon, but we really enjoyed our Le Cellier meal. The server, Chantal, was very friendly and helpful in making suggestions. DH and I had the filet (I subbed the mashed potatoes), DS (12) had the huge Kansas City Coffee Rubbed steak...he took it as a challenge when asked if he was going to finish it all! DD(10) got the NY strip. All were well prepared and very good. For dessert we ordered the creme brulee, whiskey chocolate cake, 2 chocolate mousse and shared. All were good.

    Disney Dork in DFW - This much-vaunted restaurant is probably the most popular in all of Epcot, and we were lucky enough to score lunch reservations at noon on 7/31. It was not long before we realized what all the fuss is about. My wife ordered the three-course Le Cellier Experience. Her choices were the Cheddar Cheese Soup, the Grilled Steak Burger and the Chocolate “Moose.” I ordered the New York Strip and the maple crème brulee. Before the soup arrived, we were treated to a collection of various breads. Only one stood out though: the pretzel bread. It was absolutely delicious on its own, but once my wife’s first course arrived, I discovered it was even better when dipped in the cheese soup. The cheese soup, incidentally, absolutely lived up to the hype. There are other options for the first course, but I could not imagine anything topping this soup. Our main courses followed soon thereafter. We soon discovered that “Grilled Steak Burger” was a meager description for an outstanding hamburger. The lean patty must have been a half-pound, cooked perfectly and topped with a delightful onion ketchup. It gave the burger a salty zip that, while noticeable, was not overwhelming. A heaping serving of crispy steak fries complemented the burger exquisitely. My New York strip was very good. It was well-seasoned and for the most part, cooked properly. I ordered the steak medium rare, but half of it was closer to medium. Regardless, not one single morsel of that steak escaped my fork. The steak was served with roasted, gratin potatoes. I was skeptical initially, but they also proved to be very good. Dessert was our favorite course. The Chocolate “Moose” wins the award for being the cutest dessert we have ever consumed. However, as far as flavor was concerned, it was very much overshadowed by the maple crème brulee. It took the traditional vanilla custard and sweetened it with a touch of maple. It was outstanding! Service was friendly and more than adequate. We were never left wanting for a refill, and each course was delivered in a timely fashion. Overall, this locale’s food is quite possibly the best we have ever enjoyed at Epcot. We would highly recommend it to anyone!

I am not much of a steak eater, so the steak was a steak, was a steak. The chocolate mousse was very cute, and tasted good, but not spectacular. I would probably try the chocolate cake next time. I enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and service here. I will be back!

Our waitress was wonderful. Most of us tried the Cheese Soup for the 1st time and we it was delicious. Our waitress honored our request of "only pretzel bread" in the basket, and they kept bringing more to our table. We had the appetizer trio of crab cakes, tomato stack and cheese soup. They were all delicious. Our main course was the filet, and it was very good. The cool, dark atmosphere is a nice break from the June heat.

The servers we have had at Le Cellier have always taken time to visit with my children and talk about where they are from.     D Duck Fan - This was our second visit to Le Cellier and once again, it did not disappoint. When the original ADR was made, it was for 3 people, but my 19-year old Godchild decided to join us on our trip at the last minute, so now we were 4 adults. When I called Disney Dining to modify the reservation, they told me there would be “no way” the restaurant would be able to accommodate us since they were totally booked. I was not discouraged. I thought we would take our chances when we got there. When I approached the podium, they were very accommodating and told us one more person would not be an issue. For a restaurant that was supposed to be “totally booked” there were a lot of empty tables. Our reservation was for 12:50 p.m. and they took us on time. Three of us had the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. It was good, but for my taste, there was an ingredient that seemed to overpower the soup – perhaps too much of the smoky bacon in this batch? I’ve had Cheddar Cheese Soup before. Any good microbrewery would have this on their menu and I’ve had others that, I must say, I’ve enjoyed a bit better. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the pretzel bread with the just-right temperature sweet butter. Between the 4 of us, we had Shaved Prime Rib Sandwich, Maple Barbecued Grilled Chicken Sandwich and the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon with mushroom risotto. All of the entrees were very delicious, cooked just right and the Filet was fantastic. Even the dill pickle served with the sandwiches was crispy and tasty. To finish our meal, we wanted just a little something more, so we decided to share the Seasonal Sorbet. On that day, the sorbet was a berry and turned out to be a very nice finish to an excellent meal.

We love the quiet atmosphere and it is a great place to take a break from a day of touring. Lunch and Dinner experiences have both been great and I have never had anything I didn't like. The duck appetizer is excellent as is the cheese soup. Our favorite part of our last trip to Le Cellier was sharing. Everyone at our table ordered something different and we each got to taste test the entree's. If you can only go to one restuarunt during your visit to World Showcase, Le Cellier will not disappoint.

    irunnoft - We dined at Le Cellier for lunch on our first full day in WDW. Tried as I may, I couldn't get a dinner reservation, but many of the favorites from the dinner reservation are available at lunch. My son ate from the kid's menu and one of his appetizer choices was the cheddar cheese soup. Normally, I wouldn't think of soup in these record breaking heat index temperatures in Orlando in summer, but I'd heard so much about this appetizer that I asked him to order it so I could try it. I must admit, it was quite good! There was most definitely a strong beer taste to the soup. It was almost equally strong in taste with the cheddar as well. All in all, this is a very hearty soup that definitely has that stick-to-your-ribs quality you'd look for in a good winter soup. Not anything I would order in summer! The child's strip steak was a very nice sized portion and my son enjoyed it. I ordered the mushroom filet and was originally going to have them hold the mushrooms and sub the mashed potatoes for the risotto. At the last moment, I decided to try it just as it was. It was really quite excellent! My steak was cooked exactly as I ordered it - medium rare. The mushroom sauce went very well with the meat and didn't overpower it at all. The mushroom risotto was also delicious! I thought the two made a great combination. At the waiter's suggestion, I ordered a side of grilled asparagus. It wasn't that great. It was actually bland. The asparagus was very fresh, but it had no seasoning on it at all. It actually tasted like the gas grill. I would have preferred the asparagus to be prepared sauteed or at least seasoned. For dessert, I ordered the chocolate whiskey cake. It was good. It wasn't great. It seemed like a purchased restaurant cake. The icing was rather hard and not cream at all. The cake was somewhat moist. The only way I can describe it is that it was like a partially frozen Pepperidge Farm cake. The taste was fine, but I don't think it was worth $7.99. All in all, I'd have to say that the chocolate mousse my wife and son ordered was much better. I'd have no trouble ordering the mousse or the creme brulee. We are dining at Le Cellier again for lunch tomorrow (6/21/09) and I plan to try one of the lunch sandwiches. I'll report back on how Le Cellier's lunch sandwiches stack up! __________________Ok, so on June 15th, our first full day in WDW, we ate lunch at Le Cellier. I had the mushroom filet with mushroom risotto and it was very good. I also ordered the grilled asparagus at the waiter's suggestion and it was awful. The chocolate whiskey cake was also nothing memorable. It had a texture similar to a partially thawed Pepperidge Farm cake. Today, I wanted to try Le Cellier again to see how their sandwiches stacked up. I ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich. I had an idea of what I hoped this sandwich would be. I had hoped it would have been made of rare or medium rare prime rib sliced thinly and piled high on a ciabatta. What I got was totally not what I expected. The amount of beef in the sandwich was small, in my opinion, for $14.99. Also, the beef had been sauteed along with the onions and had the consistency of a Steak-ums sandwich. This sandwich was unfortunately swimming in grease. I now know why they chose to put it on a toasted ciabatta because the tough outer crust of the bun was the only thing holding the sandwich together as the inner bread was soaked with grease. I had to continually wipe my mouth after each bite because I could feel the grease all over it. The sandwich was served with a large order of steak fries (thankfully not the kind that have found their way into every counter service restaurant). The fries were good, but they couldn't make up for the sandwich. I can't get past the correlation to it being like a greasy Steak-ums sandwich. My wife ordered the salmon BLT and she really liked it. I can't comment on that because I didn't taste it. For dessert, I ordered the maple creme brulee and it was good. Again, nothing that made me turn a cartwheel. It was good, though. The big surprise for me was the smore. My wife ordered that for dessert and I thought she was making a huge mistake but it turns out that this is, in my opinion, the best dessert on the menu. It was REALLY good. It was presented with a colored sprinkle covered marshmellow on a stick, a swath of colorful green and red sugarlike syrup. It really didn't have any flavor according to my wife, but the smore was like an ice cream cookie sandwich, only made with the classic smore ingredients. It was a rather large portion for a single dessert, but it was fantastic! In much the same way as a Kona cone makes an impression when it is brought to the table, so does this dessert. However, unlike the Kona cone being more about appearance and less about the actual dessert itself, this dessert is very satisfying. Lots of fun to have delivered if you're a grown up (but also delicious!)!!! So, my recommendation for Le Cellier, especially for lunch, is to skip the sandwiches altogether. I would only consider ordering the filet from the lunch menu. I don't know about the NY Strip steak. It looked OK from the one I saw delivered to the table next to us, but I think the filet is the one dish this restaurant is known for and the one thing it does well. At one time I thought this restaurant was the be all end all, but it really isn't all it's cracked up to be. I think Le Cellier is rather living off it's reputation now. The fact that the ADRs are so difficult to get help perpetuate this hype about a restaurant that really doesn't deserve it's reputation. Although I didn't try the steak burger, I have no doubts that it would've been unremarkable. If I want a GREAT burger, I'd go back to a place that I never intended to eat - Planet Hollywood. Yes, I said Planet Hollywood. As it stands right now, that's the best burger I've had here in WDW to date. . . but that's a different review. Bottom line, if you didn't get an ADR at Le Cellier, don't sweat it. There are several places to dine that are just as good, if not better. In my opinion, Teppan Edo blows this restaurant out of the water. The mushroom filet is good, but if you stray too far off the traditional favorites on the menu, you're going to be disappointed. __________________

Although a reservation can be difficult to obtain, on our most recent trip our party of nine ate at 4:20, everyone raved about the food and service. Besides the steaks, some favorites include the Cheddar Cheese Soup, and the Mushroom Risotto, not to mention the wonderful bread sticks.

We had a 15 minute wait for our table which wasn't bad but there was no where to sit and wait. The servers are great, very attentive and got the orders exactly right. They refilled our bread & Drinks as soon as they were empty. The only thing that bothered me was the long wait from our ADR time. I understand that the ADR time is not the guarenteed time you will be seated, but 40 mins for lunch is a long time to be running behind!!! Will always book and go back on every trip - we just love it there!

It was my 2nd choice on days to eat at Le Cellier, but as many have mentioned, it is hard to get an ADR for this location. My filet mignon was very flavorful and tender. My husband strip was also good, although he said he liked the Kona Cafe's strip better. We were at a table for 2 in between 2 tables for 4. The closeness was a little disconcerting to us. Both tables occupants got up and down several times and were scooting between our tables with their backsides facing us a little too close for comfort- while we were trying to eat. Our server was very nice and provided us with a nice level of service without being too over-attentive. I am happy that we ate here, but although the steak was one of the best I ever had, the atmosphere offset much of the enjoyment of the food.

    LuccaDrake - We ate here for lunch in 9/08 after being unable to procure a ressie for almost two years! We made a reservation for right when the restaurant opened so we were seated immediately. Our server came over and went over some of the menu with us. One tip if you are one the DDP is that they have a chef's selection menu (or something to that effect) where you can pick an appetizer, entree, and dessert out of this special section even on the DDP. This is what I chose and had the cheese soup, steak salad, and chocolate moose. DBF just ordered a chicken sandwich and since he wasn't that hungry he didn't want dessert. Our server said that he could make us a shake to go so I had DBF's dessert too and they made me a chocolate raspberry shake to go! The cheese soup was milder than I thought it would be but had to try it since it gets rave reviews. It was good, but not as good as peoople make it seem. But then again, I would not rave about the pretzel bread either! The steak salad was exquisite though. It was steak, roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, and mixed greens with a white truffle vinaigrette. It was so good that I have tried to replicate it at home! The chocolate moose was, well, chocolate mousse. Good, cute, but not as great as people make it seem. The shake was very tasty though. DBF enjoyed his chicken sandwich as well. I would highly recommend this place if you can get in!

    stampinshauna - This is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. I decided to try it out after reading good reviews on the DIS about it. They have great filet mignon. DH had the mushroom filet and I had the maple one (don't think they still serve the maple one). The cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread were yummy as expected. The staff were wonderful as we waited to be seated. One cast member got us playing a trivia game which helped to pass the time, we had a lot of fun. It was a lot better than just sitting around. We were on the dining plan which was nice because the bill can really add up here. I think the 2 of us with appetizers, entree, desert, and sodas totaled around $100. I'd love to go back and eat there again!

    nenner1 - We had a wonderful experience at Le Cellier in February 2008. While Le Cellier is curretnly the "must have" ADR in WDW, a little bit of perseverance and flexibility can get you in the door. In the end we got a lunch slot about 3 weeks before our trip. This was actually preferable to us, since we eat one big meal at the theme parks (usually lunch). We selected a mid-day time of 2:25 (early time slots were also available). Even taking into account the off hour, we had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated. Once seated we were promptly attended to. Our server Stephanie was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. A selection of bread is served, and believe the hype about the pretzel bread...it is to die for! Crusty yet soft and warm from the oven. Fabulous! Cheese soup was our appetizer of choice, and since we were plannung on a large meal we selected the cup serving size (and subsequently lamented not having ordered bowls). Creamy, smooth, smoky, and sharp...this soup is like liquid sin. For entrees we both selected The mushroom filet over mushroom risotto. The steaks were a high quality cut of filet mignon (harder and harder to come by these days, sadly), and were cooked to perfection, even my medium well. The risotto was also excellent, the perfect creamy consistency and plenty of fresh mushroom flavor. This did not start with a can of condensed soup! For dessert I had the chocolate "moose", which was decadent and delicious and almost too cute to eat (almost). Our children ate off the kids menu, the typical WDW fare of burgers and pizza.. Our meal was not rushed and we were in the dining room for about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes total (not counting waiting time). For two adult entrees, two appetizer soup cups, two children's meals, a dessert, and four non-alcoholic beverages was a bit pricey at appx. $96.00 before tip. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Le Cellier and though it was a bit expensive, it is a nice splurge for a good quality meal in an outstanding atmosphere. I recommend it highly.

It is so hard to get an ADR and it is small and crowded once you get in. Our food WAS very good but on par with any local good steakhouse. We had the mushroom filets, cheddar soup, creme brulee and the chocolate whisky cake. The wine list had a good selection of Canadian wines to try. This is definitely a restaurant worth eating at, but not worth getting upset if you don't get a reservation.

    PE_TCR - My last trip to the World was based around when I could get into LeCellier. This is my favorite place to eat. I always use the dining plan and It almost pays for itself with a visit here. I can't reccomend the mushroom fillet enough. Last time I was there I didn't even have to use the knife. It fell off onto the fork. The wait staff is amazingly friendly. The deserts are to die for! For me this is the best reason to go to EPCOT.

The steaks are always overcooked as is any of the fish selection that I have tried. Don't cook things to death! Rare means rare.

    WaDiWo - Le Celier is good. However, I find it a bit overrated. The atmosphere is that of a dark basement. However the food is not bad, just not close to the best steak in the world. I'm looking forward to going back just to give it another try, given the rave reviews it has.

    dustyraye - While we had a very nice meal here on our most recent trip, we just don't understand what all of the hype is about. Yes, it is a lovely space, and the pretzel bread is yummy. The food was good, but certainly not worth it's reputation as one of the most sought-after reservations on property. Perhaps it is so popular because the food is so familiar to the American palette, and because the restaurant is small so the number of diners it can handle each day is limited, giving it some level of mystique simply for being hard to get into. It certainly wasn't bad - but nothing to write home about. There are several other restaurants in World Showcase that have more appeal to us than this one. On future trips, we might consider eating here if we could get a walk-in and didn't feel like walking all the way around World Showcase, but I certainly won't be waking up early to be the first one on the phone at 7am on the 90-day mark to make reservations for this restaurant.

    The Grumpus - Always on our "to do" list when we go, Le Cellier never disappoints us. From the cool, dark feel of the dining area to the amazing bread, the meal always starts off right. Appetizers are delicious, and the steaks are always cooked to order. If you save room, the Creme Brule is worth it.

    lady danger - I want to start this review off by saying that we had read a lot about this restaurant prior to eating here and so our impression of the restaurant might have suffered a little due to the hype. From the way a lot of people talk about this place, it's hard not to expect it to be pretty incredible so we walked in expecting it to be incredible. The reality fell a little short of that. It was pretty good to be sure, but we ate at several other restaurants on property during our trip that we thought were better and not all of them were more expensive. This hype was reinforced as soon as we got to the restaurant as well. While waiting to be seated, we watched at least 5 parties get turned away. One Surly Gentleman even stormed in saying that the concierge at his resort had said there were no reservations available at this restaurant until January (this was back in August '07), and demanded to know if it were true. The hostess told him that they start taking ADRs six months in advance and that the slots book up really quickly and that there was no way he could get a table there for that night. This response irritated the man and he told them that he thought that was ridiculous, and that no place was that good. After he marched out, the hosting staff sort of snickered at him and said to each other that this was the Best Restaurant in Epcot, how could he think he could just walk in and get a table? Shortly after the Hosting Staff encounter with Surly Gentleman, we were seated at a very small table for two. Our server was very nice, but seemed a little rushed and distracted. She did a fairly good job, but certainly wasn't one of the better servers we had all week. I'm not sure this was her fault though. The restaurant was very busy, and I sort of got the impression that management gave all of the servers that night (or perhaps always?) more patrons than they could handle with the level of attention they ought to. The ambiance wasn't the best either. The decor was nice, as it's decorated to look like a wine cellar and it's a cute idea and very appropriate but it's a very small space and the tables were crammed shoulder to shoulder. We were so close to the neighboring table, it almost felt like we were a part of their party which was awkward. The table top was so small that we had to be careful where we put things. It was loud and dim too, so we weren't especially thrilled with our surroundings. It made our meal feel sort of rushed. Now onto the food. I ordered the Canadian Cheddar Cheese soup, the Maple Glazed Filet, and the Creme Brulee. Sarah had the Beef Barley soup and the Mushroom Filet. (can't remember if she had a dessert) The food was good, though not outstanding. The steaks were on par to what we'd get at any decent chain steakhouse (more Outback than Ruth's Chris in terms of the cut of beef too), yet cost twice as much. Good, but not even the best steaks we had on property that week. And in my case, not even the second best steak I had that week. The steaks I had at Citricos and Raglan Road were better, and the one at Raglan Road was even cheaper. The cheddar cheese soup was about the only part of my meal that made me think "I'd consider coming back just for this." Everything else just fell into the "good, but not particularly memorable" category. During the entire meal I kept thinking to myself "if this restaurant were anywhere else, no way would people be clambering this loudly to eat here." To be fair, it probably is one of the better places to eat on the World Showcase and one of the better 1TS credit restaurants on property (though we weren't on the DDP so that didn't matter to us). So I couldn't say to anyone that this wouldn't be a pretty good choice for dinner while vacationing at WDW. I just don't really understand the sort of "amazing" status it has among WDW afficionados. It's good, but it's not *that* good. We may eat here again in the future, but we have no plans to do so on our next trip. So long as the ADRs remain so hard to come by, we probably won't be back. I always make my reservations well in advance, but I don't want to feel pressured to decide where I want to eat and on what night 5-6 months ahead of time. And that's about what you had to expect to do if you want to eat at this restaurant during prime dining hours. And on that score, I agree with Surly Gentleman: no place is that good.

    skunkvette - Tried it once because it was recommended, found the staff very friendly but the food average. Tables are close together with lots of families, so romance is out of the question. Actually had a much better steak at the Rose and Crown later in my trip.

    shmedly123 - My family and I ate here for lunch during our trip in Dec 08. The restaurant itself was very nicely themed. The pretzel bread was great, the kids absolutely loved the bread. The cheddar cheese soup was ok at best. I personally didn't like it but my wife said her's was decent. For our meals she got the Caesar Salad with Chicken and she said hers was "pretty good". I had the New York Strip Steak as I am a big meat and potatoes person. This steak was just ok. It tasted ok, but the cut I received had a piece of that hard fat in the middle. Personally I like the steaks at Outback or Longhorns better (that's not a compliment) so that was a disappointment to me. I think maybe I would have enjoyed the meal better if I hadn't had such high expectations. Overall, I thought the food was just average and didn't live up to the hype or the price. I certainly wouldn't plan my day around making a reservation to eat at Le Cellier let alone be on the phone 90 days prior hoping to get into one of the harder reservations to get.

    SamIAm21 - Le Cellier is a "must do" restaurant for some, but that has worn off for me. My first visit to Le Cellier was in September 2005 and we were on the dining plan. The food and service at that time were spectacular! I can honestly say that as I've seen quality and quantity decline over the years. The food is still good, but you get much less of it and the menu has become more limited. I'm still pleased with what is on the menu as I am a steak lover, but I've noticed quite a few dishes shrink or disappear altogether over the past few years. It is no longer a must-do for me, but if I am lucky enough to snag a reservation, I do look forward to eating there. My last visit there was still good, but just not as good as I remember it.

    burberryplaid - Le Cellier is one spot we have to visit every trip and we've never been disappointed. The food is delicious. I have no doubt that there are a few dishes that are less appetizing than others, but everything we've tried has been scrumptiious, particularly the pretzel bread, cheddar cheese soup, NY strip, and the maple creme brulee! On our visits we've always been treated very well by the staff. In particular, we were there for our anniversary and were offered free champagne to celebrate. All in all, Le Cellier lives up to its reputation in our books!

    jog58 - My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. This is a must do for us every time we go. Our last meal there was in September of 2008. We had a very long wait for a table and it was super crowded in the waiting area since it was raining buckets outside. Once seated the service was wonderful. Our waiter made sure we wanted for nothing. I ordered the cheddar cheese soup and it was phenomenal. Both my husband and I ordered the strip steak and while mine was delicious, apparently someone forgot to season his. It was bought to our waiters attention and he offered to fix it immediately. My husband refused and put some salt and pepper on it and deemed it OK. The desserts are fantastic. I have tried both the maple creme brulee which is very good and the chocolate moose which is also delicious. We will be keeping our yearly tradition of dining at Le Cellier, it is our favorite restaurant in The World.

    Qosmos - My wife and I both decided this was our favorite sit down restaurant at the "World". We went there for lunch and the menu was nearly the same as it would be for dinner at least for what we would have had. Mushroom Fillet was delicious and the cheese soup was fantastic.

    xipetotec - Though it was difficult to get an ADR at this place, we managed to get in a late lunch. We were seated immediately, service was fantastic! ( our 9 year old wanted a picture taken with the server ). Being a Canadian, we were quite skeptical about what was representing us. i was pleased to see that inside ( unlike outside the pavillion ) they offer beers and wine that are more varied and indicative of what our country has to offer. The food was fantastic. Great steaks and the pretzel bread sticks were to die for!

    OKW Lover - This is a nice place to eat, but it doesn't live up to the hype. The space is very crowded and dark (of course- you're in a cellar), and the hard walls make this a very noisy place. We've found the service to be very good here - nice and friendly. The food is also good, just not outstanding. I seriously think that the reason this place is rated so high is by comparison to most of the other TS restaurants in Epcot.

    Carolinagal - Le Cellier is a nice little steakhouse with a very big reputation. Parts are deserved, as the wait staff is always very friendly and welcoming, and some of the food is outstanding. We enjoy the cheese soup and of course the pretzel bread. The tomato stack is nice, and the duck is a surprise. We always have the mushroom fillet and have tried the Pork Tenderloin and the Mustard chicken. The food never disappoints. Strangely, Le Cellier isn't one of my favorite at EPCOT. While each experience is enjoyable, it lacks that special "something" that defines extraordinary.

    *NikkiBell* - Le Cellier is one of the most popular Disney restaurants primarily due to its Internet fan-base. Although it is a good restaurant, I honestly feel that it does not deserve the fandom that it gets on a regular basis. Yes, Le Cellier is a good restaurant, but there are so many others that are far better. I have visited this restaurant several times over the past few years. The breadsticks placed on your table upon arriving are very good and range in type from pretzel to wheat. The Canadian cheddar cheese soup is the entire reason I visit Le Cellier to begin with. It is smooth, creamy, and beautifully put together. I also enjoy the risotto that accompanies many of the steak dishes. While Le Cellier may once have been the jewel of Epcot, I believe that it does not live up to the current hype it receives especially here on the DIS. If you want an outstanding steak, try Narcoosse's. I would recommend this restaurant, though, and will visit it again in the future.

    Minnie Lor - My husband and I've have dined at Le Cellier on two seperate occasions and I've dined there once by myself. We had dinner one night and both ordered steak or filet of some sort. (this was some years ago) It really was delicious. We finished our meal by splitting a dessert sampler that included the maple creme brule. I adore anything maple flavored and this did not disappoint. If I'd had room, I would've ordered another dessert that was just the brule. We also enjoyed conversing with our waitress about Canada. She took time to talk to us even though they were very busy. Our next visit couldn't have been planned better. It was a cold, rainy day and we had an 11:30 am ADR for Le Cellier. We came out of O'Canada with a mob wanting to duck into Le Cellier for lunch but of course we had ADR's. ;-) So the ambiance was perfect for a cold rainy day especially since we were seated right next to the fireplace. Very cozy. We both had a cup of the cheese soup and then we split a prime rib sandwich. It was perfect in every way. Once again we had a waitress that chatted with us about Canada. My last trip to Le Cellier was a little treat to myself during MouseFest in 2007. I made an ADR for one figuring that I could chat with the wait staff if I was lonely. I was sat at a small table for two in a row of similar tables. There were very close together so it almost felt like group dining. That may bother some people but I was ok with it. I ended up talking to other patrons as we compared selections. I'm sure that I got a few strange looks when I took a picture of my food. Anyways, I had a cup of cheese soup and the waitress talked me into a 'tomato stack'. I thought it was really good but have since learned that it was scaled down quite a bit. I really wanted to have maple creme brule for dessert but it wasn't on the menu anymore. I've heard that they've brought back due to guest demand - thank goodness. So my solo meal was good even though the creme brule would've made it fantastic.


The Le Cellier Steakhouse is located below the Chateau at the Canada Pavilion. Its designed to resemble a wine cellar. You'll find bottles of various vintages displayed behind wood and glass showcases.

Literally translating to "the cellar", there are no windows in this underground restaurant. Ambient lighting creates an intimate setting. Stone arches add to the authentic feel of dining in an underground treasure trove of fine wines.

The signature dish is the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. Accompanied by the delicious assortment of breadsticks that are brought to your table, it's the perfect start to a memorable meal. While steak is the focus, the menu is varied. This location now requires 2 table service credits for both lunch and dinner.
