Oledawg - Went to dinner with my wife. I had the New York strip and she had the Shrimp plate. Neither was anything to write home about. The place looks good but the food is just ok. Disney needs to upgrade this resturant.

ckd7899 - We found ourselves with an extra table service meal on our plan, and decided to check out the restaurant on the SS resort, as we were staying in the treehouses anyway. We had low expectations, but we were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Our waiter was attentive, and prompt. The appetizer was quite good (buffalo chicken dip). My husband and I both had the New York Strip = which was fantastic. The sugar free creme brulee was different from what I expected (as I wasn't thinking that sugar free would mean no carmalized sugar, lol! so my fault) but it was excellent. Overall, a great dining experience.

scamner - I am surprised by the somewhat negative reviews, but maybe things have changed since I have started going there. I play golf at LBV very often and love to head up to The Turf Club after my rounds. I also like to take my family there after visiting the parks since the food, service and atmosphere are always great and it is not crowded like places at the parks or DTD. Every other golfer that I have talked to during rounds has said the same thing, they love the place.

JoQuo711 - First I have to qualify my "no" recommendation, as it's only intended for those not staying at Saratoga Springs resort. There's really no reason to go out of your way to head to SSR to eat in this place. That being said, if you are already at the resort, it's a pretty nice place to go on a night you were planning on staying there. The food itself is just okay, nothing spectacular. I ordered a chicken dish with some sort of cherry sauce and risotto (I forget the name) which was surprisingly good, but the people I was with had mild complaints about their pasta (too salty) and prime rib (not tender enough). The desserts were certainly not unique to this restaurant, but they were good. The ambience of the restaurant, like the resort as a whole, is very much a country club feel, and very non-Disney. It's a good respite from the chaos that the parks can be at certain times of year. Saratoga Springs has very high occupancy but we had no trouble getting a table here, though I'd recommend having an ADR just to be safe.

corky441 - Lunch on Wednesday May 13th was not very good. My chicken sandwich was ok allthough the roll could have been fresher. The steak sandwich my husband had was a joke, this was NOT a steak sandwich by any stretch of the imagination. Service was slower than slow and there was only one other table occupied on the patio. Considering the cost of the basic chicken sandwich was $13.95 and the "steak" at 14.95 I expected so so so much more. We both were disappointed

Daycounter - This is restaurant is great at making you feel like you're a million miles away from the theme parks or DTD. I really like its atmosphere and proximity to DTD (it's just a short boat ride away). Unfortunately the food is hit or miss. I've gone 3 times now, and it seems like they are still getting their sea legs (it's a fairly new restaurant). The steak was nothing special, but the chocolate lava cake was pretty darn good. I think this restaurant has a lot of potential, and you should try it if you'd like a break from the parks or DTD and would like a nice relaxing meal.
