    Geomom - Ate breakfast here on 2/23/12. 9AM reservation, good 20+ minute wait for our party of 8. This is our favorite breakfast buffet. Very fresh food. We enjoyed all the different egg options--a variety of egg casseroles, fritattas, etc. Good pastries, fresh fruit, etc. This filled us up enough that we didn't need lunch that day. We loved seeing Goofy, Minnie, and Donald in beach outfits. Good character interactions. Donald saw that dd7 had a Daisy shirt on--he made a heart sign and pointed to her shirt.

    bellebookworm9 - Had breakfast ADRs for 9:45am on 10/11. We were seated quickly, right next to the buffet, near the entry area. Our server was James. The characters were fun, and it was nice to see them in their beach wear. The scrambled eggs, blueberry bread, fresh fruit, and crossaints were stand outs, and of course, you can never go wrong with Mickey waffles! Overall, it was a bit pricey and I prefer Crystal Palace.

    DisneyFamily123 - Dec. 2010 -- A little out of the way but we spent an hour in Epcot (morning magic hours), then walked to Beach Club resort. It was a pleasant walk actually, good photo opportunities without crowd. Food was very good, plenty of variety. Characters (Minnie, Donald, Goofy) were fun and very interactive at table side. Open and airy restaurant. Seems they could add a character here to make 4....

    Reimlaw - We took our 2 girls, ages 6 and 3, to this character buffet on Saturday May 30th. This was our first character meal with the Disney "characters". We did the Princess Dining at the Akershus Hall in Norway the night before but this was our first for this type of interaction. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of time the characters spent with our girls. We had Goofy, Minnie and Donald come to our table and spent a good 3 or 4 minutes with the girls. During Goofy and Minnie, my oldest was getting food therefore, her chair was empty. They sat down next to my 3 year old and colored with her and Minnie wrote her a note. They stayed as I tried to get my wife and 6 year old back to the table. They definitely spent more time than the princesses, who said hello, signed their name and rushed us to get a picture. As far as the food, some was good and the rest was your typical hotel fast food. The fruit was all crisp and excellent. I enjoyed the sausage and the eggs with ham and peppers. The bacon was awful and the gravy for the biscuits left a lot to be desired. Of course, that was probably an uphill battle they couldn't win to begin with. I have a high standard when it comes to biscuits and gravy with me being from the south! All-in-all, I would recommend this character breakfast but I did not give it a 10 because I do not have another "character" meal to compare it to. It was, however, much more personable than the Princess dinner.

    mftmere - Our first character breakfast of our trip in March 2010. Good meal, nothing special, but good. Characters were quick to circle the restaurant -- very helpful! Wait staff was okay -- this was probably the only mildly negative aspect as our waitress took awhile to bring us our check. Overall, a good experience, very clean...we'll eventually go back (we don't have kids so there's no pressure from little ones!!)

    rayangel - they had my favorite seafood clams crab legs they also had ribs and shrimp prime rib and soups everything. the best part was they have the best desserts in all of wdw. beautiful restaraunt.

    goodfood4ursoul - We ate every breakfast at the Cape May Cafe buffet. If you are concerned about surviving the Dx Dining plan, then this buffet is a good healthy start to any day. Yes, they have all the sausage, bacon, pastries & muffins you could want. But they also have bananas, plain scrambled (and fancy w/ cheese & ham) eggs, fresh pineapple, 3 kinds of melon, oranges & grapefruit already sliced, oatmeal (with almonds, raisins, brown sugar, you add what you like) and fresh asparagus. We skipped lunch 6 days and were able to use our extra points to eat more signature restaurants because of our good Cape May breakfast...

    CastawayJP - We did the character breakfast here for the first time in August. We were staying at the Beach Club so the location was great! Our kids got a lot of character interaction, mostly because our 2 year old daughter was fliping out everytime she saw one! Our server did a great job of bringing them around as well!

    figment3258 - This is nice when you stay at the beach club. We have had both good and bad here. Once we had the character all to ourselves and that was great. The food is good but not great. The last time even though we were one of twenty tables the character were slow and we were in a booth and one refused to come over to my little one in the high chair on the other side and made us get her our and walk her over when ever one else would go over to her. But I would still go back.

    asdfghjkl13 - I ate here for dinner last week for the first time, and I didn't like the food. There wasn't much of a choice for a buffet, and the lines were very long to get the food at the buffet tables. But I like the location... the Beach Club is my favorite resort and the restaurant is right next to Epcot.

    ckquan - I have been to this character breakfast several times. Food is good but I always get great photo ops with Minnie. Last night we went with our good friends and their 2-year daughter. Chip and Dale kept coming back to our table and interacted with our friend's daughter. It was a very cute experience.

    Hewolf - My wife and I ate breakfast here on our getaway day of our trip. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed the potatoes and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The biscuits and gravy were leaps and bounds better than was offered in the all star resorts. The eggs were kind of spotty, but the rest of the food was perfect. The waiter was on the spot with drinks. I ordered juice and milk and was only charged for one drink. The characters were very interactive with the guests. I had missed a picture with Donald because I was getting food. I assumed since we had a late buffet he would not come back. However, within 10 min he was back around again and I got my photo. Cape May will be a staple in any future trips to Disney World.

    GraceLuvsWDW - We try to eat at Cape May breakfast at least once per trip. Sometimes it's too much of a pain to get to, I made the mistake one time of trying to get there from Epcot entrace-will NEVER make that mistake again-I felt as if I'd run a marathon before arriving. Anyway, if you have a car or are staying at an Epcot area resort this is a great breakfast choice. The selection is typical Disney food (which I have a strange fondness for-what we like on vacation is not necessarily what we'd eat everyday). It is a buffet and all you can eat so a late brunch would pretty much carry you through til late afternoon. I especially like their yogurt, fruit and granola station where you can get some healty(er) carbs to start your day at the park! The service is spotty, I've had great service here and then absentee service also, pretty much what you get at most buffet restaurants on property. But, hey, you get a private audience with the main Mouse himself and don't have to endure the extreme attack to your senses that you get at say Chef Mickey's, so overall I recommend this meal!

    JandK1WDW - This review is based on one visit. Everything was great. Loved the food selection. Sat us very quickly. Tried to make ADR's for rest of stay..always busy. We should have waited. Sevice was good, we had Mary J. Can't wait to go back.

    klam_chowder - Were seated quickly. Staff were very forgiving even when many who we reserved for did not show up. Breakfast selection was small but was offered was well prepared. Great unrushed character interaction.

    msc_idiot - This is the best character meal on property. While it can be a bit out of the way, depending on where you are staying, it is worth it. The food was great, but the highlight was definately the character interaction. They put paper table cloths out and give the kids crayons. Each of the characters ended up drawing with my little brother, which was the highlight of his vacation. The waitress told us that there is a room in the back where they cut out the drawings kids do of the characters and put them up. It was great. And nowhere near as crowded or loud as Chef Mickey's.

    DISengineer - Wonderful place for a character breakfast! The restaurant itself is bright and cheery, the food is great, and the characters really make themselves available for photos. We had to wait only a couple of minutes to be seated and the service was friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back!

    xipetotec - When we went here, we went with little expectations. It was our first stay at the BCV. It happened to be a character dinner. Chip and Dale were among the characters there, and they paid sepcial attention to DW ( I had no idea rodents could be so flirty ). The food was a buffet and had a great selection. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

    oakmanner - We did the Character Breakfast last year and really enjoyed it. The food was plentiful with many choices. Characters came around to each of the tables and spent as much time as you wanted them to get all the pictures you needed. A good way to get character interaction in a not so crowded environment.

Character interaction was just fantastic, it was a very relaxed meal and not rushed and loud like some character meals can be. Minnie was just gorgeous, she sat down at the table and played 0's and X's with my son and she let him win, it was very cute. We will definately not miss breakfast here when we go back to WDW

    justadisneygirl - We actually didn't have a negative experience here at all. I just read the other reviews first, and wanted to give people a work around. If you can find out when Dorothy, the waitress is working...even better...she is a gem. I cancelled another ADR just to book this breakfast a second time. My DS is a picky eater, so we go where he eats. The character interaction is wonderful. Goofy challenged me to a game of X and O's. There isn't an extensive choice of food, but should be something for everyone. Again...bring something portable to eat to get you through for late breakfasts if you can. We had late bookings for everything but Akershus...I learned my lesson the hard way.

    WaltD4Me - My favorite character meal. Love the Beach Club. Good characters at this breakfast. Minnie is SO cute in her beach attire...and Donald and Goofy too. Have done this breakfast 3 times and always have had great character interaction, not just stopping by for a picture and autograph. Last trip Minnie played hide and seek with my niece and nephew. It was awesome. Food is typical, but always good, hot and fresh.

    fightinfire21 - We have ate breakfast here several times over the last few years and this is probablly our favorite character meal overall. The food is basic breakfast buffet food that is pretty good. The service is pretty good (hard to screw up buffet service). The real gem of this place is the character interaction. We have always ate here early in the morning and it isn't busy at all. That means more time for the characters at your table. We have had some stay as long as 10 min. It takes a little extra effort to get here but it is well worth it. This is a must do for us several times during our trip.


The Cape May Cafe is a bright, airy buffet restaurant. The decor is reflective of the beach theme. The outer rim is ringed with colorful canvas beach umbrellas. The Beach Club Buffet Character Breakfast features Minnie, Goofy, and Donald (Characters subject to change.) The dinner is not a character meal. Cape May Cafe New England Clam Bake Dinner Unlike the usual buffet set-up, this restaurant features a central island where the selections are displayed. There are large steamers that are continuously filled with clams and mussels. These popular items are always available hot and freshly prepared. Non-Alcoholic Drink is included. Full service bar and specialty drinks available at additional cost.
