    BigHead850 - I think this is the most over looked resturant in all of WDW. I highly recommend this resturant and we had a great meal along with a good price. The wait staff was super helpful and friendly and I will be going back next time. I had the standard turkey dinner and my wife and kids had the beef stew. Both are out of this world and we hope you all try it.

    stacijoice - My party of 5 women started our vacation here. We had adr and were seated within about 10 minutes which was about 30 minutes before our actual reservation. The food was great. Hot and served quickly. We were on the ddp so price was not an issue. Glad we tried it. Would go back.

    Golf4food - Our 2nd favorite TS for lunch in the MK behind Be Our Guest. The walls are covered in great old paintings and knick-knacks and drinks are served in great glass beer mugs, which you can usually purchase for about $5 each and are probably the best value souvienier in WDW. Pot roast is good, burgers are ok, club sandwhich pretty good. Most of the food is best suited to cooler weather. Dinner is not great, just ok.

    Jannephotog - We got a late lunch ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern and did not have to wait long for our table once arriving at our reservation time. Since there were two of us dining, we got a cute little side table that was perfect for a nice meal together. We sat down right before parade time and I made a trip outside for part of the meal to see the parade while waiting on the food. Little did I know that our meals, the pot roast and grilled chicken salad that was suggested by the waitress, had arrived five minutes after we had ordered- much quicker than I had thought they would. Since I missed the meal arriving, I did not get to see the pot roast but my boyfriend has assured me that it was one of the best pot roasts that he had every eaten. The salad, with grilled chicken, craisins, candied walnuts and other toppings was quite yummy and was such a large serving that I didn't even finish all of the grilled chicken. For dessert, we magically found room to eat more, taking the waitress' suggestion again to try the toffee cookie (warm and served with vanilla ice cream) and I ordered the chocolate cake. The toffee cookie was quickly enjoyed and stands as one of the stand out, best things that my boyfriend and I both ate while in the parks. The chocolate cake was quite good, but chocolate cake is available everywhere- this toffee cookie is something I've never had before. Overall, the ADR that we got on a whim a week before our trip led us to a restaurant that we may just have to go check out again on our next visit.

    jackieinJuneau - On my trip last Oct my family ate here on our first day in the parks. We had bought the deluxe dinning plan so wanted to have a sit down dinner and this was the only open ADR for our night. It was surprisingly good; my entire family enjoyed the "thanksgiving" like meal. Included in the meal where roasted meet, salad, green beans and cake and ice cream for dessert. For me the standout hits of the meal where the green beans, not something I normally like but these had me going back for seconds. Desert was great, warm cake served with icecream melting on top. It was melty goodness. Over all a good meal, that fit what my family likes. If your family needs more verity or if the idea of a big meal in the heat doesn’t work. This might not be the place for you. I would go back and bring friends.

    wdwpazzo - I have been to Walt Disney World numerous times, but for some reason, had never eaten at Liberty Tree Tavern....BIG mistake! I had upgraded my dining plan, and after looking at menus and reviews, decided to make an ADR on 09/27/12. I arrived 10-15 minutes before the scheduled seating, and fully expected to have to wait to be seated, but they were able to take me to a table almost immediately. My server's name was Karen, and she greeted me warmly and was very helpful throughout the dining experience. The food was typical "Thanksgiving meal", and I tend to be very particular about some of the items, especially macaroni and cheese and stuffing. I was very pleasantly surprised, as everything served was perfectly prepared, tasty, and served at the proper temperature. Regrets- only that I was unable to clean up my plate! On a side note- many of the tables at Disney full-service restaurants tend to be in very close proximity in order to squeeze in more diners, but this was not the case at Liberty Tree Tavern. Tables were far enough apart that I felt like I had some "elbow room". A return trip to Liberty Tree Tavern will definitely be on the agenda for future Disney vacations.

    stewoo - I went to the Liberty Tree for the second time ever this past January. We had made an ADR and were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. My friends and I were unaware that for dinner they offered the all you can eat family style dinner, but boy were we pleasantly surprised! I would best describe it as an all you can eat holiday dinner set in colonial New England. Being from New England it reminded me of places that try to do around here. It was awesome (yes, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday). I would say that this place would be perfect to have a big family holiday dinner if you want that sort of thing during your trip to Disney. All of the food was great for what it is, I wouldn't go in there expecting gourmet, expect home cooking Thanksgiving and you won't be disappointed!

    smjackson1979 - My DH & I ate here 8/28/09 while on our honeymoon using the DDP for dinner. We obtained our 6:00 ADR about 30 out. When we arrived 15 min ahead of time the CM @ the hostess stand took our names, gave us our pager, and told us it would be a few mins; it was only 10 or say and we were seated and our meal was brought very promplty by a wonderful waitress. We didn't care for the strawberry vinagrette dressing, but we weren't there for the salad. The steak was my favorite, but my husband favored the ham; the dressing was magical, as was the dessert. We will be back.

    bellebookworm9 - We dined here for lunch in May 2010. Our ADR was for 11:30 am (when the restaurant opened); we arrived about 20 minutes early. They provide coloring book pages and crayons, which my mom used to pass the time. I believe we were the second family to be seated. Our server was Caitlyn from Pennsylvania and she was excellent. I ordered a Sprite; Mom, a coke. For an appetizer we shared the Tavern Fried Cheese. It was excellent. Our entree was the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger with bacon and cheddar and a side of fruit. This was the only restaurant we visited that not only cut the sandwich, but also put it on two separate plates. I had been wanting a burger for a few days and this was very satisfying. The fruit was sweet and juicy. For dessert we chose the much raved about Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. Since we were celebrating our birthdays, Caitlyn and some other servers brought us the cake with a candle in it, rang a bell, and sang us the LTT birthday song. The cake part was delicious, and Mom really loved the ice cream. This was a reasonably priced meal with excellent service and very good food. I highly recommend it to others!

    Terk-1 - We dined here on our last day for lunch. The food was good, but not great. Waited almost 45 minutes, even with an ADR. Service was a bit on the slow side. The bathrooms are really small and tight for space. Will probably pass on this on the next trip.

    Saylan - We did table service in every park and some resorts. This experience ranked up with Boma and California Grill for us for a few reasons: - The food was amazing. We both got the pot roast and it was an sizeable serving so we got good value (even on the DDP, wasting a credit on something unfilling is annoying). The pot roast was delicious and very soft. We could cut it with our forks. I was worried it'd be dry but it was the opposite! - Our server was fantastic. She was friendly and very attentive even with a full house restaurant at the peak of lunch hour. She even helped us puzzle our way through our first Dining Plan order. When we only got one drink and my bf had used it on a non-unlimited refills drink, he went to order water, and she brought him a pop (free refills) saying she wouldn't drink the tap water here if you paid her so she wasn't going to make him either. He much appreciated it as the tap water definitely didn't agree with him. - It was easy to get a last minute booking. Our plans changed last minute and we had to find a place to eat. This place was easy to book at any time last minute which was perfect. Overall, we didn't know what to expect, but this place was beyond anything we would have looked for in a theme park, even the Magic Kingdom. If you're on the fence about booking it, I'd say give it a shot, it was worth it for us.

    Nadjalu - DH and I went to LTT on our Feb. 2011 trip for dinner. The family style meal appealed to us, as we love our comfort foods. :) I have to say that I was impressed overall. The meal was very good, from the rolls (which are little bits of heaven with that butter), to the dessert which was also a delightful surpise. The mashed potatoes, turkey and ham were my favorite parts. (along with those rolls) The only slight disappointment was the mac and cheese along with the beef. Mac and cheese was like others describe as a frozen meal. For a pasta lover I couldn't even eat it...just mush. And the beef was too dry. Wasn't inedible, it tasted good, but I like my beef medium rare, so obviously something well isn't going to be to my liking. But overall the meal was good. There was enough without the mac/cheese and beef to have a full meal and not feel something was missing. We would definitely go again. DH loved it, even the parts I didn't like.

    MarliesMommy13 - The atmosphere is wonderful! You feel as though you have stepped back into the colonial times, with a dose of Mickey and his friends! The food is served family style, which I love. The bread and butter were almost my favorite part of the meal. They tasted homemade, and we ate it very quickly! The menu for supper is somewhat like Thanksgiving, which can leave you super stuffed when leaving.Therefore avoid the Magic Kingdom "mountains" after eating!

    skidisney - Liberty Tree Tavern is a nicely themed restaurant in Liberty Square. The first time we went, it seemed busier but the service was much better. This time, it took 20 minutes to get our drink order in. The restaurant was crowded (even though it didn't look lie it at check-in.) And the service continued to be very slow throughout the meal. The food was adequate at best, but it wasn't overpriced.

    Linn Orris - We ate lunch. The place was packed, but the service was very good, and a nice atmosphere. Food was very good and portions were larger than the more expensive places. Probably our best overall restaurant experience at the parks this trip, and we did half a dozen more expensive spots. Cannot think of a bad thing to report.

    littlemom25 - When I made my ADR in February for April I was told we would dine with Mickey & Minnie. We planned this for the last dinner of the trip and then found out they recently ended the character dining again. My children were crying because they had been looking forward to hugging Mickey all week. I really regret not making a reservation at Chef Mickey. I wish they would bring back the mice! They always looked so cute in their Liberty garb. We were really looking forward to this dinner and it was a huge bust!

    Yzerbear19 - The first time we ate here in January 2007 it wasn't the best experience, but because of being sick early on during this trip we changed our plans for our final day. We needed a table service restaurant and decided to give it another chance. I had heard that their lunch menu was better than their dinner menu. We were early for our ADR time and were seated right away. I like the atmosphere. The glasses are really neat. Our waiter was friendly, but a tad inattentive. My sister ordered the Chicken and dumplings. It was served in a HUGE bowl with large chunks of chicken and an abundance of noodley dumplings. I had the Angus cheeseburger with tavern fries. It was DELICIOUS!!! It was served with an abundance of fries. The burger was cooked to perfection. For desert we each had the Caramel Apple Tart which was really good. We were really impressed with the food. I just wish the bathroom wasn't located upstairs and that there were more stalls in the ladies room. Overall though it was a pleasant experience.

    briandunne - We ate lunch in early February [an 11:30 ADR] and it may have been the best meal of the trip. My wife and 2 youngest went ahead to check in as the eldest & I waited in Thunder Mtn's queue. (you won't be seated until your whole party is present) We reunited just as the town cried called us. The total wait was @ 30 minutes for my wife and youngest 2 [no wait at all for the eldest & I]. I'd read that characters were no more, but was thrilled to be greeted at our table by a hug from Minnie. Chip & Dale and Pluto rounded out the character detail and they helped occupy the kids as we enjoyed our meal. The food quality of the preset menu was high, simple salad bowl with warm rolls and butter, followed by a platter of beef brisket, turkey & pork over mashed potatoes & stuffing accompanied by a bowl piping hot mac & cheese and a second bowl piled high with fresh steamed green beans. Dessert was a platter of apple crumble covered with a scoop of ice cream for each patron. When the middle child lament her lack of extra ice cream, our server wasted no time offering to bring more [with Mom's consent]. I especially loved the Liberty Tree Tavern mugs and wish I'd tried to buy one. The line to use the ladies room was remarkable. I was able to get in and out of the gentleman's restroom after lunch with no problem. we'll be returning!!!

    Muffin4u - This was the best meal we ate while at Disney World. Everything was delicious and tasted homemade. The service was also very good. It does get a little crowded in the waiting area but we didn't have to wait long. Everything considered, it was a wonderful Disney dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    sgrabin - Talk about over-booking. We arrived 25 minutes ahead of our ADR and were FINALLY seated 40 minutes after our ADR. Ok, so a long wait, but we were looking forward to a delicious, satisfying meal....NOT. If I wanted Stouffer's prevously frozen turkey microwaved and dumped on lumpy mashed potatoes I could have made that at home. (Maybe it wasn't microwaved, but it tasted like it) The bread was not very fresh and the butter packets were frozen, so just try to make those 2 work together! That meal will be my first and very last at the Liberty Tree.

I love the meal, is family style, everything is good, and the waitress is so nice, love the services.and the character is cute, the dress of minnie mouse is sooo nice~chip and dale was kissing me, well i am already 24 years old.haha.but they still care about older people. that is good~cause lots of other character meals thought that we are not like them as much as the kids, but actually we want some interaction with them just like the kids.haha. well.hope they can have character meal going on. love it~

    caysee - I read the previous reviews and I was nervous about eating here. It was my Father's birthday and we took him here for lunch. We arrived and were seated in less than 5 minutes. The server was nice and very friendly. The food came quickly and was served pipping hot and was excellent. My dad had the pot roast, my sister had chicken and dumplings and the rest of us had the roast beef sandwich. Everything was really good. The wait staff came and brought a cupcake with a candle and sang to him. Very good experience.

    Rainkiss - We had tickets to the Halloween party, so wanted a table service in Magic Kingdom. The selection was a bit on the limited side, you get brought what's on the menu, no real choices, but the food was very good, and they brought more of whatever ran out at a good pace. The all-you-can-eat of a buffet, without having to jostle in line to get food, best of both worlds. And, extra cake for hubby's birthday. They could definately use better bathroom facilities. Up stairs (which are pretty steep, and me with a cranky knee), and just a couple small bathrooms, there was a line to get in, the only line for a bathroom I ran into in ten days in the parks.

    Rainkiss - I was pretty disappointed with the limited number of table service meals at Magic Kingdom. (I got spoiled reserving EPCOT first, I suppose.) Made reservations, we were seated within five minutes of checking in. The food was good, service was excellent. This was hubby's birthday dinner, and we were in the MK for the Halloween party that night, and I didn't want to have to worry about changing parks. Will definitely do again.

    Tuta - We were seated within 30 mins of our 7:30 PM ADR and were impressed with the authentic decor and seat near the door as we planned to step outside for SpectroMagic when it passed by. Our waitress seemed rushed and harried, brought a basket of rolls and drinks within about 10 minutes. Salad brought out first and it was truly disgusting...limp, rotten leaf lettuce and iceberg lettuce had started to turn pink/brown. I pointed this out to the waitress when she returned about 10 mins later but she only argued with me that it was fine. (?!) The main course was turkey/roast beef/pork loin with dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans...all very skimpy servings. The pork loin was tasty with the sauce, the green beans were not good. My son wanted extra dressing and it took her 15 mins to get that...he really had given up by then. The dessert (apple cobbler/ice cream) was brought out and the ice cream had melted it into a mushy mess...not appetizing. We had requested a birthday celebration for my 2 children and this is how it went: the waitress brought out "happy anniversary" cards and she and 2 others sang..then she said "I don't know if its your birthday or not but there ya go" Sometime during the meal, Spectro passed by and hubby/kids stepped outside to watch which was the highlight. Hubby had always wanted to eat at the LTT and we were all very disappointed in the food, the bad service, and the fact that we wasted a TS here. NOT recommended unless you like a surly waitress and bad food.

    Cherinva - I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time I was there, I was extremely happy with the service, the food and the interaction with the characters. The second time, was very disappointing. We had an ADR for 7, and showed up 15 minutes early. We waited 45 minutes before they seated us. Our server was less than friendly, the food came to us barely warm and what is it with that lumpy flavorless gravy??? The best part of this meal was the characters. It's a lovely place inside, but if I will go there again...I'm not sure. It could be that I caught them on a bad night.

Service was good, but very fast paced. I loved the Strawberry shortcake. The restrooms here are tiny and upstairs, plan ahead and use the nearby restrooms in the park before you sit down.

    zendisney - We arrived for dinner at 4:20 at the LTT on July 13, 2009. We were seated in less than 5 minutes in the Ben Franklin Room. I asked some questions about the "set" menu. The set menu for dinner consists of salad with a strawberry vinergarette dressing, Turkey, Beef Brisket, and Ham. The sides were macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, seasoned green beans, and stuffing aka dressing with gravy. The desert was apple pie ala mode. Everything was served family style. The server took our drink orders and we asked for water in addition to our iced teas. She never brought the water. I asked her about the menu and had some questions because I am a diabetic and I am also on a plan to lose weight I was concerned about the sugars in the salad dressing and the "seasoned" green beans. The server hesitated and said " I don't know about the dressing... I said "Could I please have a little oil and vinegar instead?". She replied with " I will have to see what I can do about that... She clearly was disgusted with my requests. She rolled her eyes and acted put out. I also requested my green beans plain. This was the beginning of bad service ... She arrived at the table with about 2 dozen rolls and our iced teas and then she said ok and walked away. She placed the cruets of oil and vinegar next to me and made a HMMMPPHH sound. I thanked her for getting me the dressing. There was no response. We waited a long time for the entree and when it arrived it was barely warm. The turkey was ok. The rest of the food was flavorless and gross. I have had school cafeteria food that has had more flavor. The bad service added to my discontent. Then we got our check. OMG! We had to pay 15.00 for our dd3 and each of our dinners were 30.00. It was awful food. Awful service and I was highly disappointed. I am planning to contact Disney's Food and Beverage Department. Don't waste your time or money.

    OKW Lover - We had lunch here and the service was great. Our ADR time was 11:35 (shortly after it opens) and we were seated promptly. The menu offers good choices for everybody and the food was good. My Wm Penn chicken Pasta was very flavorful.

    Madi100 - Without characters about the only really positive part of Liberty Tree Tavern is that it is a sit down restaurant in Magic Kingdom. We thoroughly enjoyed the characters and hope they return. The food, to me, was okay. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it. My children enjoyed parts of it. Because it was served family style, we all ate the same thing. We do not enjoy the children's menus at any of the restaurants, so this was a nice feature.

    PIRATEGIRL007 - Liberty Tree Tavern is one of our favorite MK table service places. I loved the charector interaction (when they were still there, they are not as of now) and the good home-style food was wonderful. The strawberry vinegarette dressing is one of my favorite in the world and their mac & cheese is to die for. The portions are plentyful and since its family style if you want more just ask. We will definately return to Liberty Tree again (even without the charectors).

    irunnoft - On June 16th, my family dined at LTT for lunch. My wife ordered the Pilgrim's Feast and I ordered the New England Pot Roast. My wife said everything was great with her lunch. She had sliced white turkey, herb stuffing, mashed potatoes and green beans. Considering the small sandwich I received at Le Cellier for the same $14.99, this was a deal! Everything looked great and really enjoyed the bite of everything she forked over! The pot roast was better than I expected. It was very good. The meat was extremely tender, well seasoned and NOT fatty at all. I hate pot roast that is loaded with tons of fat. There was none to be found on this roast. The cabernet sauce was perfect and the mashed potatoes were great. They tasted like real mashed potatoes and not instant (something I was concerned about and, to be honest, expecting). I honestly can't remember what the garden vegetable was right now, but whatever it was, I enjoyed it because I ate everything on my plate that afternoon. My son had the cheeseburger from the kids menu and it was the requisite kid's menu cheeseburger. No big surprise there. For dessert, we had the strawberry shortcake and it was good. The sliced strawberries were fresh and not swimming in a heavy red syrup. Instead, they had been sugared and created their own light syrup - very much what you would expect if you were to cut up fresh strawberries, put them in a bowl and lightly sugar them. For me, what really made this dessert was the shortcake. The shortcake was a strawberry flavor. It wasn't like a strawberry cake mix, either. It was as though the cake had been made with fresh strawberries. It was moist, sweet and delicious all on its own. The cake was the shape of a small bundt cake with fresh sliced strawberries and syrup spooned over it and then topped with a dallop of fresh whipped cream. We all enjoyed it. Granted, this isn't the same caliber of dessert you'd expect from some place like California Grill, but for what it was, we all agreed that we'd order it again with no hesitation. ____________

    exwdwcm - We've eaten here a number of times and are disappointed to hear it is no longer a character meal. My experiences were always as the character meal, so keep that in mind.... Since my family are not exotic eaters, we enjoy the 'thanksgiving' type food served here. We also enjoy the family style setup, so that we can ask for more of whatever our group likes. The food has always been hot and plentiful. I know my BIL loved the beef, others enjoyed the turkey and all enjoyed the mac and cheese and potatoes. THe salad and the yummy vinagarette were also a hit. The atmosphere is quaint and can be a bit crowded sometimes. The characters were always fabulous. We really enjoy the apple cobbler for dessert with ice cream. The waitstaff also gets into the theme and spirit. one note- the bathrooms are upstairs and small. This is a great stop especially on hot days at the MK when you need a break from the crowds and heat. Be sure and make an ADR, it is very difficult to get a walk in reservation here.

    cnorris40 - Overall this was a very good meal. We are a "meat and potatoes" family and this fit in perfectly. The highlight of our meal was by far was the strawberry dressing. The low point of the food was the excessive amounts of Cranberry sauce on the meats. If your family likes cranberries this is perfect, but since I was the only one that likes cranberries in our family it did not work well. The service was phenomenal, very quick, kept our drinks full and quickly brought out more of the foods we desired (including cranberry-less meat!!!).

    bsusanmb - My favorite meal here is lunch. Love the turkey feast. The meat is real turkey, filling and potatoes, green beans, all very good, and lots of it. My most favorite is the strawberry shortcake with ice cream. This desert was changed and it is now with a pound cake and no ice cream. It used to be with a homemade shortcake...but I asked to add ice cream, and it was really good. The service is very good here. We have dined at dinner, and it was very good also, and is a family style all you can eat. No more characters, which is a shame. I believe that a lot of folks go to Disney to see Mickey...and he is seen less and less...but at any rate, I love this restaurant. Eat here regularly on our vacations, and have NEVER had a bad meal or a bad server.

This table service in Liberty Square couples old world charm with family dinner. While reservations are tough to come by, you will not be disapointed. From the salad to the apple cobbler and everything in between you will enjoy your meal here!

    LuccaDrake - We ate here in 9/08. I must say I didn't have high expectations of this place since it's family style and has some stouffer's products. However, it was delicious! From the salad to the meats and side dishes everything was very good. We ate there right before MNSSHP started one night and we did get to see the characters in costumes as well as the host staff. They no longer have characters but there have been rumors that they are bringing them back. I think it definitely increases the draw to this restaurant. I would definitely eat here again.

    SpaceMonkey - Dining at Liberty tree Tavern has become a family tradition for us. The home style presention of the food is nice and after spending the day wandering around the park it's nice to sit down, relax and have the at dinner at mom's experience. There's enough variety to please a picky eater. When dinig here, I've never been able to get a walkup seating, I've always had to get an adr. However, as busy as the place is, we've never felt rushed to finish our meal. Good service, great food.

    jimpossible87 - This is the first little review Im going to try and contribute. I picked LTT as it is my favorite place to eat when I vist MK. I love the place mostly because I so enjoy the theme of Liberty square and that whole section of the park has always been my favorite. I always visit LTT for a late lunch and its a great something different from the usual burgers and chicken finger baskets I always seem to end up eating in the parks. Having a late lunch here as your big meal of the day is a great way to enjoy MK so you can stay late for the fireworks and not have to leave for a dinner reservation outside the park. I am not one for the character dining so we orignially tried LTT a few years ago for lunch and have been going every year since. We were originally a little leary of the stouffers sponsorship but it is definitely not TV dinners. The 2 best things weve had and continue to get are the turkey dinner and the pot roast. They are both excellent large meals for the meat and potato lovers like me. Everything is really nicely done and looks like havnig dinner at home when it arrives. The only weird little thing for me was I made the mistake of asking for a raspberry lemonade. I noticed they had it in souvenier glasses for the kids (which I dont have any of) and figured since I love raspberry lemonade Id see if I couldhave that for my beverage without buying a light up tinkerbell glass. The waitress was very nice but it seemed like I confused her. I was able to get it and to my dismay it tasted like poison. It had that weird diet after taste so I dont know what they made that out of but I felt like I caused such a big deal asking for it that I didnt ask for something else. So my only little minus here is avoid the kids drinks. Everything here is really homey and comfortable and I especially like the way they introduce you as your family name from your home state when they call you for a table and the rooms are all really nicely decorated so that you feel like you are in an attraction almost. Its a really great place and its rarely busy Ive walked right in without a reservation and gotten a table for lunch many times. Theres nothing like some nice turkey dniner and then a ride on the riverboat.

DP absolutely loves the Colony Salad, which has grilled chicken, apples, pecans and a lovely dressing, and I enjoy the pot roast or the turkey platter. Food is served pretty quickly, so you don't feel like you are losing precious park time, but we have never felt rushed either.

    Mish19 - My family visited Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch last October and were lucky enough to officially open the restaurant! We rang the lunch bell and read a proclamation and had a great time and the whole staff made us feel special! I didn't even know something like this was even possible. Now, on to the food! I had the New England Pot Roast (tender), my mother had "This Season's Fresh Catch" in a pouch (sweet and refreshing), and my brother had the Angus Chuck Cheeseburger (tasty and satisfying). Believe it or not we were all craving veggies by the end of our trip because we just didn't see much of them so we were happy to see veggies on our plate.Everything was very tasty and our waiter was wonderful! He was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back and have in fact made LTT our official ending meal of the trip.

    SamIAm21 - I have always liked the Liberty Tree, especially when they had the character interaction. The family style dinner is usually pretty good, on par with maybe a Country Buffet. The food is good, but often uninspiring. What it sometimes lacks in imagination is made up for with "plenty". You won't leave the table hungry. I've heard they may have stopped serving this, but they used to have a great glass of sweet tea that would be brought in large glass mugs. That alone was a reason for me to make a stop at Liberty Tree. Truly good sweet tea is hard to come by outside of Savannah, GA!! It quenched my thirst and I got that great combination sugar/caffeine boost that propelled me through the rest of the evening.

    jog58 - My husband and I first tried this restaurant in 2007. We returned in September of 2008 and enjoyed a good lunch there. We both had the turkey dinner and it was delicious. The turkey was moist and flavorful and the mashed potatoes were AMAZING. For dessert I had the three chocolate brownie and I must say that it was a bit lackluster. I was hoping it would be somewhat warm and I couldn't tell there were three kinds of chocolates. My husband had the strawberry shortcake and he enjoyed it. The service this second time around was fine, nothing spectacular, our waitress seemed to disappear for long stretches of time but the food was good so that did not detract too much from our meal. We will definitely be returning to LLT on our next trip in May 2009.

    Qosmos - This may come off as negative, but we felt the Liberty Tree for Dinner was... OK. They offer you all you can eat, family style servings. We were there a few weeks back and they offered Ham, Flank Steak and Turkey as the main offerings and Mac&Cheese and Green Beans. The food was ok... the meats a little dry, but my kids loved it and the meal was served quickly. The restaurant was well themed, service excellent and very close to one of our family's favorite rides (HM). One interesting grip... what is with the Bathroom, when we were there the only Bathroom they told us they had was a hike... and upstairs. It seemed like the Bathroom was an after thought... "Oops... we need a Bathroom in this restaurant".

    schimj - DW and I have been to Liberty Tree Tavern several times since we have started going to WDW. It is one of the few resturants that we consider a must-do each trip for lunch. We love the Tavern Fried Cheese appetizer, and most of the entrees are very good too. I typically have the pot roast which can be a bit heavy for lunch, but if you plan it right, it would be a good "large meal of the day." We each had a favorite dessert that is no longer on the menu, but the Gooey Toffee Cake is a good substitue on the current menu.

    TifffanyD - This restaurant is our favorite and always a must-do for lunch. The tavern fried cheese includes both white cheddar nuggets and provolone and is the best fried cheese I have had anywhere. I loved the sandwich heard round the world the time I had it, but that is gone. The pilgrims feast is a traditional thanksgiving platter and is good, altho a bit heavy for lunch. Our 2 favorite desserts have gone away (butter griddled pound cake and the cherry chambord ice cream) but the toffee cake is still pretty good.

    *NikkiBell* - I really loved LTT and am very disappointed that it is no longer a character meal. The rumors on the DIS show that it may, in fact, return to being a character meal in the near future, but for right now that is not the case. In any event, I found the LTT dinner to be very good. It was simple American "comfort food" and done well. The meats served included smoked pork loin, roasted turkey breast, and carved beef. They were flavorful and not dry. The sides included macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, and vegetables. I found them all to be very good and the gravy on the side had a very nice flavor. Personally, the only part of this meal that I did not enjoy was the smoked pork loin. I am not a big pork perseon, but my boyfriend did enjoy it. I would definitely recommend LTT for lunch or dinner and visit it again.


If you're wondering why you're asked where you're from when you check in at the podium at the Liberty Tree, you'll soon have your answer. In keeping with the Colonial theme, "the Smith's from Pennsylvania" are summoned and escorted to one of six rooms. Colonial furnishings and artifacts provide a comfortable setting while you enjoy your meal. The menu is influenced by New England fare, but there are plenty of other choices to satisfy your appetite. At lunchtime, the Liberty Tree Tavern is an often overlooked gem and provides a wonderful respite from the typically hectic Magic Kingdom day.
