    Disgirl17 - I thought this was a great meal. We walked up and had lunch-no ADR needed. Our server uncle dale was wonderful and very entertaining. The food was good but the atmosphere was even better. I would go here again and recommend it to friends

    lisakramer - This is my husbands favorite on property. He always requests a reservation here. He loves the fried chicken. I personally don't have a favorite on the menu and think it's just ok for the main meal. Deserts are very good though. If you like being joked with while eating, this is the place for you. If you prefer to be left alone to eat, don't stop here.

    Cokaho - Tied for the best dining in Disney. This is a must every time we go to Disney. The atmosphere is fun, the first time I went my (new) husband and I shared a milkshake at the counter. The last time was a family affair. The kids loved the wait staff telling us to keep our elbows off the table, and they really liked it when the waiter brought me two sodas and told me " this should keep you happy for awhile.". You won't enjoy this place if you don't like sarcasm and a snarky attitude. There is soooo much food and it all tastes great. A trip would not be complete without Mom's home cooking.

    mtcabri - Our server had my son laughing from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. This place is the BEST! My son was reminded to keep his elbows off the table and eat his vegetables. The server hid behind the window curtain next to us, peeking at us and saying, "Thomas, I see you. You aren't eating your vegetables." It was very funny. I didn't eat my carrots so the server came over and FED SOME TO ME, while doing the 'choo choo' and singing a kiddie vegetable song. Very funny. He introduced us to the people at the next table as our cousins from South Carolina and made us get friendly with them fast. The service is awesome at this restaurant. The food was pretty good too. I wouldn't try to get in here without a reservation though. They were turning people away like crazy. GREAT place!

    cjhagen - We were disappointed in the 50's Prime Time Cafe; I probably should have done more homework before making the reservation. The decor is cute - decorated like mom's house in the 50's, but the menu was limited. I was starving for a burger (thought this would be a no-brainer at a 50's diner), but the menu was more like Mom's home cooking: meatloaf, fried chicken, pot pie... We were disappointed. We won't eat there again. I did hear one waitress who was very much in character, but ours lacked personality.

    bellebookworm9 - We had an ADR for 11:05am. Arriving around 10:50 am, we sat on the couch to wait and were seated soon after the restaurant opened. We had a table with a TV. Our server was Mark from Endor, NY. He was awesome! Definitely the funniest server of the trip. We both ordered water and when he brought them back he said "Vodka tonics!" We were his first table and he introduced us to everyone else who came in other servers and patrons) as "his girls Debbie & Gretchen". At the end he brought out our birthday cupcake and told us to cut it into thirds so he could have a piece. We did and he took the last piece but I don't know whether or not he really ate it. When he brought it out he announced to the room that "Gretchen is 53 and Debbie is only 19. Actually folks, Gretchen is only 19 and Debbie's in her 50s." Then he said to me "I thought you were about 23. Guess I should have checked my notes before I gave you that vodka tonic earlier!" Anyway, onto the food. We shared the Char Grilled Chicken sandwich, which came with a side of Caesar salad. The sandwich was yummy and huge. This was the only restaurant we went to where they neither cut the sandwich for us or put it on separate plates. The salad was good but there was too much dressing on it. For dessert we shared the brownie sundae which was OMG SO DELICIOUS AND GIGANTIC!! It really looked like just a plate of whipped cream. This was our cheapest table service meal of the trip. Mark was outstanding; he provided us with the experience I was hoping for-fun, without being rude or over the top. I would go again in the future.

    Terk-1 - This is a must dine for me on every trip. The food was good, as was the server. She was very polite and we rarely went with drinks going more than 1/2 empty. Shakes were thick and yummy!! Will dine here again. The only con was that there was a long wait, even with an adr.

    FrankieDplus3 - We ate lunch at 50's on Sept 1st, 2011 (my DD's birthday). We arrived 10-15 mins early for our ADR, and were probably seated right at our ADR time. We were seated in Cousin Cooper's section. My DW and I each had the Grilled Chicken sandwich. DD(10) got the Grilled Chicken Strips (and the PB&J Malt, which was probably enough for three malts, so, I had to finish it off) - He gave my daughter a free bottle of water for her meal, because he didn't want her to have all of that sugar before she ate. and my DS(4) got the chicken nuggets. The food was good, best meal we ate that week. The service was excellent and the experience was perfect for the birthday party. We all got in trouble for something at some point during our meal...wearing a hat at the table, elbows on the table, talking with mouth full, eating the kid's food, asking for refills...I received three refills at once with the Cousin Cooper statement of "LEAVE - ME - ALONE". At the end of our lunch, he announced to everyone in our section that it was my DD's birthday and made everyone sing. He also passed out a birthday card and asked everyone to sign it (which they did). Cousin Cooper played the role very well and had a lot of fun with our table. He really made our afternoon and gave us a great memory of our vacation.

    MarliesMommy13 - This is one of my family's favorite restaurants! The food average,but the desserts are out of this world! The apple crisp, and the chocolate peanut butter shake are "to die for!" We love the way the waitresses and waiters address the guests as "cousins" and the whole interaction while at the table is fun for everyone!

    Gibbygirl - Had dinner during SWW so it was very crowded! Luckily we had an ADR so not much of a wait. Were seated in a small room at a tv table. Our waitress was nice & efficient but did not do much of the schtick. I had to ask her to poke some fun at DS as he had been looking forward to it. She got him a couple more times but did not see her really interating with any of the other tables. The food was very good & we left stuffed! The downside was also the food--there was so much of it we couldn't eat it all & felt like too much went to waste. DS could only get a couple sips of his PB&J shake down he was so full! Would go again but wish the portions were more in line with walking around a theme park.

    smathis89 - I LOVE PRIME TIME CAFE. I've been here twice and it is one of my favorite places in Disney. the concept of the restaurant is brilliant and original. Every room is inspired after a tacky 50's kitchen or dining room. We love that our waitress is suppose to be our "mean cousin" and she makes it fun. both times i've been here, our waitresses interact with us, making jokes, giving us nicknames, making us eat our veggies, "yelling" at us for having our elbows on table. i couldn't stop laughing when "cousin sarah" spoon fed my friend one more bite of her veggies. it's all in good fun. PLUS, the food and desserts are awesome.

    DisneyFamily123 - Dec. 2010 -- milkshakes are incredible... really good! Try the strawberry or peanut butter and jelly. No wait to be seated with a reservation but they were turning away walkups. Good, filling food. Fun decor and joking around. We were not looking for trouble but we were reminded a few times about manners -- elbows on table, not being a tattle tale, putting the walkie talkies (cell phones) away. I can see how a rowdier bunch could have a really fun time here with the joking around. We were there for lunch and not creating too much of a stir.

    anthonyemerick - some of the people in our group weren't quite sure how to take the attitude of the waitress but I enjoyed the whole ambiance the fish sandwich was one of the best I've ever eaten and the Fried chicken was great crab cakes are not really all that good not only here but anywhere on property save for citricos two people were stood with their noses on the wall while we were there it was awesome !! if you are gonna eat at the studios you should try this sometime

    Grace4me - Fun place to eat - a elderly woman sat us at our table, while another sweet lady was our waitress. She haggled us about finishing our food, and keeping our elbows off the table. I had the roast, my friend got the chicken. I think the chicken wins. The roast comes with "carrots and potatoes" - not really, they are grated and more for decoration than for actually enjoying. The chicken comes with mashed potatoes. good stuff. The green beans were frozen green beans, nothing special. The malts were really good. I got a chocolate/PB one. But wish I would have just opted for the Chocolate. My friend got the Vanilla and it was really good. Another friend got the sundae ... not sure about this ... too much "stuff" on it like carmel popcorn for me to enjoy. I do recommend. Its fun and good food. I would do it for dinner, as it is pretty heavy and you feel pretty full for the rest of the day.

    tammyroo - I've eaten here several times and have always enjoyed it. I go for the fried chicken, which didn't disappoint. I always forget how large the the portions are...so beware. It was half a chicken and I didn't come close to finishing it. This experience was quite different. We were with friends who made the reservation. She checked us in a little early. We then waited and waited until about 35 or 40 minutes. At that time, the husband approached the staff to request a name of someone to talk to about the issue of this long wait. He wasn't ugly about it but wanted to give someone feedback about how much it costs guests to sit around waiting to be seated in their restaurants. Management was very attentive from them on. The manager wrote us fast passes for any ride we wanted and gave us a pass to Fantasmic (which we couldn't use). We were seated immediately. Byron, our waiter, was great and really had fun with everyone at our table. Within a few minutes, the manager brought over a free order of onion rings, which were delicious. I ordered a salad wedge which was very good but ended up being way too much food coupled with the entree--even with sharing. Everyone enjoyed the food and the manager went off and a new one came on at some point during the evening. He, too, got in on the fun and all of the staff turned around what could have been a very frustrating evening. While I usually enjoy this restaurant, I don't think I would go back because it is always so noisy and crowded. The bigger the crowd you have the more engaging the servers are. There was a smaller party next to us that had fun but they didn't get the same level of interaction as our table did.

    Yzerbear19 - Our first experience with 50's Prime Time was in March 2009. We had made reservations for that trip because we thought our Mom and Aunt would enjoy it. They absolutely LOVED it. My Aunt kept getting yelled at by our "Mom" Sue for her elbows on the table. She also complained that we didn't bring her a Mother's Day card. So when we went in early May of this year my sister and I brought a Mother's Day card for Sue. We weren't seated in her section, but managed to flag her down. She was so amazed. She said we were her favorites! Every time she passed by she would mention us as her favorites. It was awesome! Our server was OK. There wasn't a lot of interaction, but he seemed to be really busy with stuff at Prime Time and Hollywood and Vine. The food was AWESOME! Since it was extremely hot out we weren't really hungry for hot food, so my sister and I ordered the Stacked sandwich. She had ham and turkey on hers. I ordered ham on white bread, but was given turkey. I didn't complain because the sandwich was DELICIOUS! It was HUGE. It was bigger than my mouth. I had a salad with mine which was really good. My sister had fries. Then we had dessert since we were on the dinning plan. Neither of us were really hungry for dessert. My sister had the S'mores and I had a caramel sundae. Again it was HUGE. I was expecting just a small bowl of ice cream with caramel, but this was a large parfait of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. It was good, but there was no way to eat the entire thing. We loved our experience here and will definitely be going back. It is such a fun restaurant and the food is really good. We liked the lunch menu better than the dinner menu.

    MissBritt - My husband and I dined here for lunch on 12/15/09. It was our first meal of the trip, and the only restaurant I did not already have reservations for. We walked in at noon and were immediately seated. Our waitress (Lisa) was a quiter character than the other server in the area (Joey); she barely spoke while he joked with everyone. I liked her though, since we prefer a quiet atmosphere and minimal interaction with the server. We were on the DXDDP but were not too hungry, so we shared a meal- shrimp cocktail (5 small shrimp for $10), the chargrilled chicken sandwich (surprisingly tasty), and apple cobbler (which was huge and amazing). There were 3 people celebrating birthdays in our immediate area, and each one got a special birthday song, although only the birthday diners under the other server got a card signed by all the 'cousins'. The meal was pleasant and I wouldn't have a problem returning, but it doesn't stand out as one of our more memorable dining experiences.

    Mouse seeker - I'd first like to say that I really love the concept of 50's. I just wished that our personal experience with our meal there was just as positive. We were sat at a table that had our own television, which was neat. Our server, however was forgetable. I was worried that my husband would be a bit weirded out by the whole "elbows off the table and no dessert until your meal is finished" schitk. NO worries about that!. He took our orders and in what seemed like an impossible short time period, our food showed up at the table by someone else, a runner perhaps, although he looked like a dishwasher. This left me with a visual of 20 potroasts and meatloafs sitting pre-made in the kitchen ready to be given out. I ordered a milkshake as my "beverage" before the entrees, which he forgotten, and since we never saw the server until he came back for our dessert order I couldn't remind him until then. He did bring me my milkshake at the same time as I recieved my apple crisp topped with a heaping scoop of, yes.. more ice-cream. DH really loved his Potroast. He is a meat and potatoe guy, so he was happy. I had meatloaf which was ok, but nothing to sing about. We really enjoyed watching the server at the table next to us banter with the family and esp. the kids at that table, we just didn't experience any of that fun ourselves. Perhaps they leave couples alone (2 adults/0 kids), perhaps it was just a bad night for our server.

    FigmentGal96 - We had an 11:30am lunch seating on Saturday, December 5, 2009. It was cold and rainy, so we decided to head to the restaurant early. We arrived at 11am and sat in the lounge for less than 5 minutes before we were seated (early!). Our server was at our table pretty much immediately. He did a great job carrying out his role as our Uncle. We were on the Dining Plan, and he gave my mother a hard time about ordering coffee but brought it for her anyway (along with her soft drink). My son was feeling particularly chatting and kept yelling out to him; he did a great job dealing with that. He was very attentive to all of his tables, and we never had to work to get his attention. I could actually hear myself think in this restaurant- what a lovely change! Both adults had the chicken pot pie, which was just OK. Our server was helpful in adjusting my son's order to allow him to have more fruit. The smores dessert I had was the best thing I ate on vacation- absolutely loved it. I appreciated that there were bathrooms at the restaurant, but they were shared with the bar and restaurant next door and very crowded. I would definitely do this restaurant again, more for the service and theme experience than the food.

The interaction of the servers being your cousin, or other family relative is great. This place is a lot of fun for all. My DGD had a crayon tossing battle with server in another room and she thought that was cool.

    minnie74 - I have eaten here previously. This time I was lucky enough to get a great server - Cousin Mike. He was great fun. We also interacted with our "cousins" at the table next to ours. The fried chicken and potatoes is yummy, so is the stacked sandwich. My favorite dessert here is the angel food cake w/fresh berries. Your server can really make or break your experience here. Make sure your server knows you are wanting to be interacted with, or they may hold back.

    GenX - We ate here on a rainy night, with 7 pm reservations. So you'd think there wouldn't be alot of strain on the kitchen. But service was so slow we missed Fantasmic. The meal options for kids were pretty limited. So my kids were hungry later. The adult portions are ridiculously large. The servers were nice, except for the "elbows off the table" commands to someone in our area every few minutes and a fork-full of green beans being shoved into our mouths. Our friends ate there a few nights earlier and liked it. So maybe we were there on an off night. I did overhear a touching story. An woman sought out a particular server to thank him for saving her husband's life a year earlier. Apparently the man was suffering from heat stroke and the waiter saw the signs and knew what to do. The woman was so moved a year later, she could hardly speak.

    Mgoblue44 - The kids (11 & 7) had a good time in the 50's Primetime Cafe and it was an excellent, relaxing, distraction for them. I ordered the meatloaf and while I found the quality OK, the portion was small. What really took away from the experience for us was the service. We fully knew and understood the "schtick". However, my wife became ill the day before and was just not in the mood. Despite how terrible she looked, AND my wife pulling the waitress aside and informing her that she is sick and please leave her alone, the waitress still insisted on including her in the act, grabbing her spoon and trying to feed her, yelling at her for not eating her vegtables, etc, etc.. This really made things worse. I feel this was probably isolated and most waitresses would leave you alone if told to do so. I would reccomend trying it at least once because it is pretty neat. However, this did not make the list for restaurants we will re-visit.

    luna99 - this is a really fun place to eat at that you must try at least once. You waiter/waitress is usually your mom, cousin, or brother and you eat in your "kitchen" (from the 50's). This place is known for it's meatloaf but make sure you clean your plate or you might get in trouble! Really fun and the cast members have a great time playing with the guests!

    Madi100 - We ate here for my daughter's 10th birthday. She picked the place, because she wanted someplace fun that was going to make a big deal out of her birthday. She picked the wrong place. Unfortunately, we were sat in a small room with only three tables. So, not a huge deal can be made. Our food was edible, although it wouldn't bring me back to the restaurant. Our server took the role of our aunt, however, I think I would suggest eating early so that the server is still in the mood to be your aunt at the end of her shift. I think she was a little tired. We also had to remind her to bring my daughter's surprise cake out - not so much of a surprise when you have to announce it. The one good thing about celebrating a birthday here is that everyone in the room is considered your family, therefore they all signed the birthday card. Kind of fun.

Server was fun and really got into the role without being to over the top, food was nicely done, I had the pot roast which along with a cold beer, made for a hearty lunch. Neat place to experience.

    WaltD4Me - I've eaten at Prime Time several times and the thing about it for me is that it is very inconsistent. We have had great experiences and very so-so experiences. On our last visit our server did her schtick but just seemed to be going through the motions, she was very bland and we've had that happen with other servers too, but then other times we've have great servers that really got into the fun of it. It's hit or miss. The food is decent, not great, not terrible. I wish the menu offered more options.

    timandlesley - I LOVE the theming of this restaraunt and go here simply for the theming and the service, outstanding! We've had a really GOOD experience here and a really BAD one. The bad one we got stuck in the back room on a cafeteria type table and our server was horrible. The good one was at a t.v. table, AMAZINg and worth the extra wait. Our server was WAY into her role of our aunt and took it to another level, the only problem was our sensitive daughter got a little offended and overwhelmed by some of the remarks but she backed off. Love the servie and theming, food is just "o.k." I love the pot roast here, great deserts. My kids favorite part is the way the deserts are presented in a viewmaster- fun!

    bushrod43 - I would recommend this dining experience if you can get the right server. The food hasn't really suffered so much- not that it was fabulous before, but just good home style comfort food. The biggest draw was the show put on by the staff. You can still find a few that are willing to stay in character but they are few and far between. I have had a better waitress at Denny's than most of the current staff at the 50's Prime Time Diner. On our visit last week we were lucky to even see our server, let alone hoping to interact with her with the 50's theme. We literally only had her tableside for about 2 minutes during our 1hr. & 15 min. meal. Her tip reflected that. I wish Disney would get this train back on the rails, but I really doubt it. If you're looking for some regular food instead of burgers and fries, then I say give it a shot.If you're expecting the theming that Disney promises, forget it.

    minnie74 - Each time I eat here I have a different experience. When I have a server who is really into the show, it has been a riot. Other times, it just seems like a regular restaurant with 50's decor. The fried chicken is my favorite, but the multi-grain sandwich was good also. My favorite dessert here is the angel food cake with fresh berries. It is fun to "bust" your friends here. My last server wasn't very interactive, so I informed her that my friend had his elbows on the table, and she became more lively (threatened to put him in the corner, etc).

    stampinshauna - We tried out this restaurant last October and really enjoyed it. The place is themed to a 50s kitchen and is a lot of fun. There are episodes of old 50s shows playing as you wait for your table. There are rules like no whining and eat your veggies and the servers make sure that you mind your manners. The food is yummy and is definitely comfort food. They have good sandwiches, meat loaf, pot roast, and other home cooked favorites.

    DeVineMom - The theming in this restaurant is great. 1950s "grandma's house." Loved all the nostalgic stuff and the clips of old TV shows. The food was homey - meatloaf, fried chicken, pot pie - tasted good but not fantastic. We were very disappointed by our waiter. We expected to be told to keep our elbows off the table or eat all our vegetables. We just got ordinary service. He was nice, but it was just regular service we might get at any other place.

    wdw_adict - I really looked forward to eating at the 50's Prime Time Cafe but left being very disapointed. The food was ok, not the biggest of portions, but tasty enough. My biggest gripe with this restaurant was the pace of the service. Entrees arrived at the same time as the appetizers so we sent them back. They then came back out of the kitched about 2 minutes later, sent them back again. When we were ready to eat out entrees they came back out of the kitchen cold, having obviously sat there for around 10-15 minutes. We insisted that they change them which seemed to annoy our server making her push the Mom's kitchen attitude a little too far. I didn't really like the attitude from the server, I understand the theme and the idea but perhaps it's becasue I didnt gow up in either the US or in the 50's but the 'Get your elbows off the table' and 'eat your greens' thing just went a little too far for us and really think that the server should have read in to this and backed off. I wont be eating at 50's Prime Time Cafe again. Matt

    MikeWD - This is a restaurant whose success depends on the personality of your wait staff. Our waiter was not very good. Was tired and dripping with sweat, which really made the meal particulary unappetizing and the experience unpleasant. I watched other tables with different wait staff seeming to have a much better time. In those cases, there was a lot of banter. Some day, I will give this one a try again. The food was only average. I think that the reason to go here would be more for the atmosphere.

    dustyraye - We have eaten at the Prime Time Cafe several times. While the food has always been good and plentiful, different servers can have an enormous impact on the overall experience. We have had servers who have been very into in their characters, as were we, which was a lot of fun. We have also seen (but thankfully didn't experience) servers who were so immersed in their characters that they didn't read their guests well, and seemed to either annoy or embarrass their guests by being a bit over the top. We have also had servers who haven't really gotten too into the who experience with us (perhaps because we had no children in the party), which was just fine with us, since we really go their to laugh and reminisce about the days when some of that same decor was in Mom's house, and to enjoy the hearty homestyle food we remember from childhood. (I practically dream about their pot roast... *sigh*)

    Splat25 - We ordered the usual iced teas and chocolate milk for our son, but decided to surprise our daughter with the Pirate Punch. It came with a green glowing light up tinker bell and was an instant hit. To start the meal off we ordered the fried cheese and onion rings appetizers. The fried cheese comes with fresh fruit, bread, and of course fried cheese. The grapes were crunchy and juicy and the strawberries were just right as well with no blemishes we could see. The fried cheese has a crunchy herbed batter and a softer white cheese inside. It was very good, especially when used on the lightly toasted baguette slices. The onion rings were equally as good. Since the wife doesn’t care for horseradish at all, she ordered it with ranch on the side as well. The onion rings were large and cooked perfectly. They had a slight beer batter taste to them and went very well with either dip we had or even ketchup. The horseradish dip I had was a creamy variety that complimented the onion rings. I ordered the pot rot entrée based, in part, on all the glowing reviews I’ve read. I wasn’t disappointed. The meat was super tender and the spices and gravy really accented the taste and texture of the pot roast. The carrots did add some color, but they were not really there as much as I expected them to be. The gravy sauce has a very rich beefy flavor to it and is just the right consistency for this dish. I highly recommend this dish if you like pot roast even minutely. DW wanted something a little lighter and ordered the Caesar Salad with Chicken. The grilled chicken was moist and tender and the dressing had good flavor. The lettuce was crisp and cool and lovely – no nasty brown edges here! A great light lunch. My daughter really wanted the grilled hot dog meal. We got her a small garden salad with ranch as well. When the hot dog came, we split it between the kids and they just demolished it. The fries were good as well. For dessert we ordered Dad’s Brownie sundae and the S’mores. My daughter got a small ice cream sundae as part of her meal as well, so there was plenty of sugar to go around for sure! The brownie sundae was decadent and ultra rich. The brownie itself was large and very moist. It was covered by vanilla ice cream, m&m’s, whipped cream, chocolate fudge sauce, and caramel corn. This was a very nice treat and by the time we finished it off, we were getting a bit stuffed. The S’mores were visually quite appealing with the lightly toasted tops and the drizzled chocolate sauce. The marshmallows were warm and gooey while the chocolate underneath was just warm and full of rich flavor. The graham cracker was also a nice texture accompaniment to the dish. I’ve heard that some of the staff really get into the roles and sass you to eat your greens and such, but we didn’t really experience that on this trip. The service was just average here for our visit. Overall, a good experience. Everyone enjoyed the food and 50’s vibe. But we definitely needed the ADR to get in.

    JeemaRee - We've eaten here three times and each time the novelty wears off a bit more. The food also seems to be getting a bit more institutional and less "home made". We probably will skip this the next time we go, but overall it isn't bad. We just have a lot of places we haven't eaten and the charm is begining to slip for us.

    SamIAm21 - At 50s Prime Time Cafe, your server can make or break your experience. I have eaten here a handful of times and only once did I have a server that wasn't going along with the "act". The servers act like your Mom or maybe your favorite Aunt and everyone in the restaurant are your "cousins". I like the food at 50s PTC. It's not fancy and it's homestyle food. I always order the fried chicken and I consider it to be pretty darn good. Maybe not as good as the local chicken joint back home, but still pretty good. I would definitely recommend 50s PTC to anyone, but I always caution them that they will become a part of the whacky antics that can take place there.

    mmmears - I found the decor ok, but nothing special. A bit claustrophobic, really. Our server was polite and attentive, but wouldn't get in character like some of the others. The food was plentiful, but not great. We had the pot-roast and it was fatty and just ok. Won't be returning there.

    NWOhioAngela - I have to disagree with the other reviewers, and give this restaurant a poor rating. The food is good, basic fare, and you get good Disney portions, but the level of service has gone down so bad, I can no longer recommend it. On my last two visits, my group of 2 was ignored. I noticed that larger groups (bigger tips) were being taken care of, but we got little attention from our servers. It didn't use to be like this. It may be hit or miss, but with two consecutive bad experiences here, we won't be coming back any time soon.

    xipetotec - We showed up at the 50's Prime Time 15 minutes before our ADR and were indicated to have a seat in the "living room". Thankfully the reproduction of a 50's living room was cozy and nostlgic cause we waited in it for a good half hour before we got our table. Once we were seated, we were told angrily by our "aunt" to not put our elbows on the table or we would not get dessert. And our "cousin" ( we had two tables ) would tell our mothers if we didn't eat all our vegetables. Food was great "down home cooking". Pot roast was fantastic, fried chicken delicious and the s'mores dessert was just amazing. We had a great time here and will DEFNITELY go again.

    Notpug533 - I have eaten here on 2 occasions and both times I have not been dissapointed. The food is always top notch comfort food and we have had great servers! Be sure to play along with the "show" and have a good attitude! If you don't you will not have a good time. The pot roast and the meatloaf are both amazing!!!!

    Carolinagal - We love the Prime Time diner and make time for it whenever we visit DHS. The decor reminds you of your past - you can't quite place where you last saw it? - and the DisneyTVs play reruns of classic favorites. The menu offers Americana, including hamburgers, sandwiches, meatloaf, fried chicken, etc. The appetizers are a little strange - a bowl of chicken noodle soup, onion rings, and shrimp cocktail. Our favorites are the fried chicken and the pot pie. Servers play a large part of the experience and their enthusiasim is really necessary for total enjoyment. However, it is possible to have a pleasant meal without the schtick, and servers are usually very quick to recognize when to back off on those patrons not interested in playing along. While the Prime Time is a favorite, I am not sure we would seek it out were it outside the park.

    *NikkiBell* - I very much enjoy the 50s Prime Time Cafe. At this point in time, I feel that it is the best table service restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The food is simple, but good. I enjoyed the fried chicken dish twice and found it to be moist and flavorful. The onion rings are a good appetizer as well. The atmosphere is entertaining and the best part about this restaurant. It is unfortunate that some servers do not get into "character" as much as others, but this does not ruin one's experience. I would recommend this restaurant for those who are not afraid to put themselves out there or want a good option for large groups.

    fightinfire21 - We have ate here several times and have enjoyed it each time. The food is average but the atmosphre is what makes this resturant. Your server can make all the difference at this resturant. We have had servers that have been really into the show and servers that are not so much into the show. This can make or break your experience. The decor of the resturant is also great if you like a very retro feel.


50's Prime Time Cafe is located at Disney Hollywood Studios. Bring your appetite and sense of humor. The theme is Mom's kitchen circa 1955. There are TV's throughout the restaurant broadcasting black and white sitcoms. From "Father Knows Best" to the original "Mickey Mouse Club," you can't help but smile when you see these blasts from the past.

Everyone is "family." Your server will introduce you to your "cousins" while giving you stern warnings to keep your elbows off of the table and to eat your vegetables. It's all in good fun and adds to the unique experience. There are lots of 50's knick-knacks and the dessert menu is on a Viewmaster!

Full service bar. Wine list available. Specialty drinks including milkshakes with and without alcohol.
