    jlundeen - Wonderful experience! We were on the Dining Deluxe plan. All (6 of us) really enjoyed out meals. Staff were helpful, attentive and very friendly. We love to eat here, especially if we can get the patio seating for Illuminations.

    Terk-1 - This is one of my favorite places to dine. The food was very good, as was the service. The CM was very polite and attentive, but not hovering. The only negative is that there are not enough tables outside. They should convert the area to the side, which would allow for several more outside tables.

    anthonyemerick - the menus definitely need to be updated we had a sampler appatizer for 2 that had a scotch egg a beef pasty and the soup the other person ordered the puddings everything was delicious for main course we had fish and chips ... awesome bangers and mash delicious and shepherds pie (non vegetarian it has lamb) scrumptious !! the 3 of us that ate here out of the 8 that went on vacation all agreed it was our favorite meal of the week will go back everytime we go Home !! The server was lovely as well

    IndyScrapper - We ate here on Oct 1, 2010. DH chose the cottage pie and was amazed at how small it was and included no side dishes. Though the flavor was good. The server suggested the Sunday Roast, which I tried. It was very good and plentiful. She also suggested the sticky toffee pudding which was yummy. We sat outside. The service and atmosphere was very nice. Inside the restaurant was very crowded and rowdy. This was during the food and wine festival, so this may have contributed to the atmosphere inside. Based on the serving sizes, I will probably choose another restaurant next time.

    tammyroo - Ate here with friends for the first time and it was not good. We got seated within the 15 minute window, but barely. We requested a patio table so that we could enjoy the fireworks and received that. Initially, they had the plastic covering down and the umbrellas outside up, which blocked the view. Both were taken care of before the fireworks. I happened to be seated behind the umbrella pole so I still couldn't see. The server we had was in training. She was very sweet but not a good server. She never returned to clear the table or refill the glasses until the end of the meal. The fish and chips was greasy and the fries tasted like they were the frozen and not fresh variety. My daughter had the mixed greens salad which she said was okay and for her entree she had the vegetarian shepherd's pie. She enjoyed her entree but didn't rave about it. Our friends shared the cottage pie and said it was good. None of us said we would return, which says something. None of us are overly picky eaters. This was probably one of the worst meals we've had in Disney. On the up side, Prince Edward was actually there in the bar with his wife chatting up the staff. I never saw him but my daughter and our friends saw him while waiting in line for the restroom.

    irishtigger - This was by far the worst dining experience I have ever had in Disney World. The food was just not good and the service was dreadful. I had to keep getting up to find her. It took way to long for our food fish and chips and a burger there was no reason we were in there for over an hour and trust me we didn't even finsh our food. I would recommend the quick service in America before I would recommend this place ever again!

    bryon - We ate outside so I didn't get to enjoy the theme/ambiance. Because of these it really only seemed like a typical place to eat and nothing special. Staff was nice, but you could tell they were bored/tired. Food was ok...nothing to rave about. No real negatives...no real positives.

    Lisacope - I guess alot of people eat here so they can linger and watch the fireworks. My husband and I chose this place to try some different WDW restaurants. We arrived on time for our ADR and waited about 20 minutes for our buzzer to go off. We were seated in the patio area which was covered with plastic sidewalls. I was put off by this but my husband didn't mind it - I would have preferrred to be seated inside the restaurant as I didn't get to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. The service was a little slow but the girl that served us was very cheerful and we weren't in any hurry. My husband ordered the sunday roast and I had the pork loin and we shared a salad which was very good. The sunday roast was okay - nothing special. The pork loin was an unfortunate choice - it can be hard to cook this cut of meat well and this was borne out by tough dry meat with an unremarkable sauce. In summary - Rose and Crown can be a good strategic choice for seeing Illuminations but don't go there for the food.

    ead79 - We ate dinner at Rose & Crown on December 7. For our family it was a bit of a mixed review. My husband and I didn’t have an appetizer, but my parents both tried the Mixed Greens salad. It sounded delicious with bacon, cheddar, and a warm bacon vinaigrette. However, both of my parents felt it was the most bland salad they had ever tasted. When our entrees arrived, we again had mixed reviews. My parents both had the chicken and mushroom pie, which they both felt was the absolute best pot pie type of dish they had ever had. They both loved it! My husband had the fish and chips, which he enjoyed, but felt were pretty run of the mill. I had the grilled pork loin, which is served with a hash brown potato and stewed fruits and nuts. The pork itself was very tasty, with an excellent marinade. The stewed fruits really added a nice touch to the dish as well. Unfortunately, the hash brown potato was much different from anything I have ever had before, and I honestly disliked it a lot. As a result, I was pretty hungry when we left the restaurant, having only had some dinner rolls and pork loin. So all in all, I wouldn’t really recommend this restaurant. While there was 1 standout item, we were under-whelmed with the rest of our meal. I wouldn’t advise people to stay away, but we aren’t in a hurry to return either.

    ncc1701 - Got a last minute ADR and ate here for lunch last month.The Fish & Chips were excellent.The batter had the right amount of crunch without being overcooked.I don't remember what type of fish they use but it was moist and flaky. My DH said his Chicken Pie was also good.I had the trifle for desserts and it wasn't too heavy(which is a good thing). we had outside table over looking the lake. On the downside(like most of the TS restaurants) the menu seems to have shrunk since we first ate here in 1998.

    FigmentGal96 - We had a 5:15 dinner seating on a Tuesday on December 1, 2009 for a party of 5 (but the $79 indicated before was for 3 people- two adults and one child). We checked in on time but had to wait about 15-20 minutes before being seated (with a buzzer, browsing the shops). We were seated inside the restaurant in a corner with bench seats. My mother was seated at the end of the table, and there was no opening in the solid table leg for her to actually put her legs. We had to move the table for her to even be able to sit down. The person seating us didn't seem to think anything of this. Our table was about one foot away from the one next to us. Our server was pleasant and took our orders quickly. Our food took a while to arrive, but it was very well prepared. We all finished our plates. We were missing at least one piece of flatware we had to ask for. I don't recall dessert being anything exciting, but I do know that my mother enjoyed her lemon pie. The restaurant was hectic and very loud. I think it would have been more plesant if we had been seated outside. It took us at least 90 minutes to get through our meal. I would eat here again, but probably at an off peak time or for lunch. I think part of the delay may have been due to high bookings because of (1) the Dining Plan promotion and (2) Candelight Processional packages.

    StitchAttack - I love the Rose and Crown, but then again it helps that I love British beer and good pub food. Eating at the Rose and Crown after a long day at Epcot, just feels right. All of the pub favorites, such as bangers and mash and fish and chips are great. Another plus is that you the Rose and Crown has a special area for you to watch illuminations.

The atmosphere is really cute and quaint and it is a good spot to watch illuminations from while you eat if you time it right. You can't go wrong with this place!

    PucTiger - My friend and I visited in September of 08 after failing to make ADRs in advance. We wanted to try and squeeze in a visit overlooking the fireworks, but ended up settling for Tokyo Dining (which was just as good). We did, however, end up sitting on the patio in perfect weather overlooking the lake. NO PROBLEM THERE. After visiting the bar and enjoying the scotch flight (which was delightful, varying, and unbelievably affordable), we sat down. Now, we were on the dining plan, but we both absolutely had to try the soups. I ordered the potato leek, my friend ordered the pea soup. The potato leek soup went far beyond my expectations. It had a perfect creamy/buttery flavor and a smooth consistency. These have to be the two most underrated food items in all of Disney World. My friend's pea soup was wonderful with just a hint of smoke to it. We tried each others but fell so much in love with our own that not a drop was spared. I then ordered the bangers and mash, which had a sort of sweated cabbage. The sausages were perfect, the mash was smooth, the gravy was delightful, and the cabbage added a nice contrast of flavor that really brought it all together. My friend had the lamb two ways. My friend, who suffers from Crohn's disease, hardly ever finishes anything he eats and it usually takes him an entire day to go through just one meal. _I_ was the only one to leave with a box, simply because three sausages was way too much for me to eat. I had a bite, and I was impressed. I know we ordered desserts, but I can't remember what they were! It was a year ago. The service was spot on, and we had a nice long conversation with our waitstaff. We talked about where he's from, where he's going, what his plans were, and about our trip. This one of those special staff members who really bring everything together. I rated the experience a '9' even though I could have easily made it a '10'. The only reason I wouldn't make it a 10 is because the decor lacked a bit of 'fine dining' aspect that I sometimes like -- we did have linens, if I was correct. I was just hoping for a little more romance (though the wine sure helped!). Definitely a must visit.

    jrgutknecht - We had a noon reservation for 8 and were quickly seated in an almost empty dining room. Our server was very nice, but she disappeared for long periods of time and left us wondering where she went. By the time our meal arrived, several other tables around us had come and gone finishing their entire meal. By the time we got out of there it was 2:15. We had not rush and were not in a hurry, but I would not recommend this for anyone that's in a hurry, unless you tell the server ahead of time you're in a rush. Highly recommend the fish - it was excellent!

    BlueFairy - The food here is good but not as great as it could be. We were left wanting more with every dish. The flavors were all excellent. Feels a little pre-made and the portions are small. As with most things in WS, the location and beer make up for it. We had a truly memorable evening on the patio watching Illuminations. Go for dinner. Lunch didn't feel anywhere near as festive.

    msc_idiot - The fish and chips were a huge hit with my family, but the seating was very cramped. The fact that you can be escorted outside to view Illuminations is a big draw, but during busier times, it just becomes painfully crowded on that patio. The view is sometimes worse there if crowded than it is in the rest of the park.

    The Grumpus - I've never had a bad meal here. Several great beers on tap. You can just stop at the bar for a drink or sit down for a full meal. Each dish is full of flavor and leaves you satisfied. For an added bonus, get a late reservation and stay for a viewing of Illuminations right on the water in front of you.

    burberryplaid - We enjoyed our dinner at Rose & Crown. We were seated on the patio which was lovely. We were too early for Illuminations but I imagine it was be beautiful sitting along the water to watch the show. The food was good, but we live in the Boston area and there are many Irish/English pubs that are just as good or better, with larger menus. I suspect many others would feel the same. We'll probably go back, but this is not a must do on every trip.

    SamIAm21 - We chose the Rose & Crown as part of our dinner package before the Candlelight Processional in 2006. Although I did see the menu before choosing it, when I arrived, one of the dishes I had hoped to try was removed from the menu, Shepherd's Pie. I thought the restaurant was well decorated and I felt as if I'd been transplanted into an English Pub, but still left feeling a bit underwhelmed with the food and the choices. I don't mind stopping by the window for some fish & chips, but I don't see myself going back to eat dinner there anytime soon.

    LMO429 - We ate here once and had a good meal. The staff was excellent, very attentive and friendly. We had reservations about an hour before Illuminations and were sitted inside but about 5 minutes before the show our waitress took us out to the patio. I do not consider myself a picky eater but I had a hard time finding something on the menu I really wanted to eat and wound up ordering off the children's menu. My husband however enjoyed his dinner, especially all the beer choices.

    mmmears - We had a great dinner here. We were seated inside (it was a bit wet outside, so they weren't seating anyone there). Our waitress was helpful, attentive, and pleasant. Our appetizer salad was very good. My DD & I shared the fish and chips and they were quite tasty. DH had a lamb combo (chops plus pie, I believe) that was really good. We had the sticky toffee for dessert and it was excellent. After dinner, we went out on the patio and had a great view of Illuminations!

    xipetotec - We've found long waits getting a seat for dinner ( not so bad for lunch ). One of the great things about The Rose and Crown is not only does it reproduce the look and feel of a British pub, but it's right on the lake, so if you're lucky you can get a seat by the water. If you're even luckier, you can get that during Illuminations! Food is upscale British fare, Fish and Chips are fantastic ( as are the Bangers and mash ) and the Sticky toffee pudding is just... wow. Service is great, very polite and quirky.

    OKW Lover - We've visited here very often - well over 20 times. The fact that we continue to return tells you that we like this place. But that doesn't blind us to some of its faults. We've found the food quality to be spotty at times, but on other visits its great. Some favorites are the barley soup, the shepherds pie and the fish and chips. For something really different, try the ploughmans lunch.

    fightinfire21 - My wife, my daughter and I ate here for out first time last September (2008) and it was one of the better places we visited on our trip. Our biggest complaint was that it was over an hour to be seated from our scheduled ADR even though we checked in early. They were very disorganized at the check in counter. We did end up sitting outside (we didn't request this so it didn't hold us up in being seated) and seeing Illuminations during our dinner which was GREAT. All the food and the service was very good and we plan on returning here on our next trip.

    Minnie Lor - My husband and I've had dinner here on three seperate occasions. The layout, theme, and location of the restaurant are spot on but the food is just okay. We've ordered different things each time and nothing has overly impressed us and we're not very picky eaters. Nothing was bad or tasted bad it just wasn't worth the price or the time. If I went back, I'd just do appetizer and dessert or drinks and dessert.


The Rose and Crown Pub & Dining Room is delightfully British. A friendly pub atmosphere makes for a relaxed and pleasant dining experience.

The pub side can be a lively spot when the piano player invites everyone to sing along. There are British ales, lagers and stouts to enjoy. The menu offers traditional British specialties including Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips and Bangers & Mash.

One of the biggest draws for this restaurant is the patio seating. It's a popular spot for enjoying your meal and viewing the evening fireworks. However, outdoor seating cannot be requested in advance nor guaranteed.
