    jlundeen - My husband and I had "date night" here during our last visit with our family. After read numerous reviews, we were really looking forward to a spectacular dinner, using our Deluxe dining plan. I had scallops for starter - they tasty, but it was more like a creamy potato soup than a scallop appitizer. My husband had the cheese plate, which he said was really good. I think there were five types of cheeses, each paired with a sauce or condiment. For entres, I had the filet - and it was cooked a bit more than I like (more of medium rare than rare, as I requested) but it was very tender and the wine sauce was excellent. My husband had a porterhouse - not as good. It was gristly (is that a word?) and not as much flavor as expected, For dessert we shared a bowl of three flavors of sorbet - yummy. The server was friendly but rushed, and spread between several parties, one of which was loud and boisterous, which detracted from our whole dining experience. If thishad been another resturant, or only used one table service credit, rather than two, I would have given a better rating - however, due to the above factors, I don't feel it was worth the rating or the cost.

    since71 - My family and I dined at the Yachtsman Steakhouse for the first time bypassing Le Cellier. Much better steaks and sides. We did miss the pretzel breads at Le Cellier, but the Yachtsman is a much better dining experience if you are wanting a delicious steak prepared to perfection! Try the sweet potato beignet! They are to die for. Service was awesome. The cost is a little more than Le Cellier, butworth it!

    edwardsmith - as i said before our waiter ALI was great helpful ,having a birthday cake for my wife, we really enjoy the food steak was delicious and the waiter coming every time with a nice smile checking on us , the good service will get us back definitely to yachtsman steakhouse , keep up the good work.

    bstarr1121 - This steak was the best steak my family had ever eaten! We were on the DDP, and had heard from a friend how great the food was. I was a little skeptical, until we sat down and ate steak that just melts in your mouth. I have been to lots of steakhouses in my life and this one by far out shines any of the others! My husband doesn't enjoy grilling steak out now! And, anywhere we order steak locally, we actually compare to Yachtsman's! It was GREAT! We also had great service. We took our 4 year old, and the waiter was super patient and very helpful with him! We recommend this to all of our friends who are going to Disney.

    ncc1701 - We ate here on 11/14/10.Excellent service by Al. DH had the totmato salad which he still can't stop raving about.I had the Garden salad which was great.We had the NY Strip & the Filet. Both were cooked as ordered and were beyond excellent. Will be on the list for our next trip.

    disneydorks - We ate here last week on the Deluxe DDP, with an ADR. And I can not begin to explain the food here, beats any other steak house I have ever eaten at hands down. We started out with the Escargot which were amazing, they were in like a garlic butter and what tasted like spinach and artichoke as well. Just amazing. I had the Porterhouse, and OMG doesn't even begin to describe it, even the fat tasted good on this steak, i didn't leave a bite and I can show you a picture. Usually I leave a ton of fat and stuff out when I eat a Porterhouse, but every bite just melted in your mouth. I also got a side of onions which were amazing as well. It comes with some of the best french fries I have ever tasted. The wife had the Fillet Mignon, although AMAZING, I found the Porterhouse better. For desert I had the Creme Brulee which was again OMG, and the wifey had the Taste of Pistachio which she said was very good as well.

    irishtigger - 5/14 Our waiter was great but his name escapes me at the moment. My only complaint was the lobster bisque was not as good as Fulton’s next time I will try a different appetizer. My filet was cooked to my exact request and melted in my mouth. I really suggest eating here if you want a great steak.

    mmperry - I must say I was hesitant in eating here after the mixed reviews , but we really enjoyed the yactsman. we have eaten at most of the signature resturants and found yactsman to be one of our favorite, still loving citricos the best :) we were on ddlx dining plan so DH had the mussles for his app, and wow!! they hive u a very nice portion, I had the escargot both were delicious. we soaked up all the juice too. lolol. for dinner I had the filet snd the Hubby had new York , best steak we have had on Disney property and was cooked exactly how we ordered them " med " dessert was creme brle n banana neopolean, we lived them both. we are by no means food experts but have eaten some very nice meals over the years, we had a wonderful dining experience here, and mark are waiter was a pleasure. we hope u enjoy it too. : Posted via eTicket

    Princess Figment - For a "signature dining experience" I found the Yachtsman disappointing. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. My husband and I were seated in the window overlooking Stormalong Bay, which was perfect. Our waiter was friendly, personable, and attentive. The food, however, did not live up to the atmosphere. We started with a caprese salad, which was average. The real problem was our steaks. I ordered a rib eye and my husband ordered a porterhouse. Neither steak came out cooked correctly, and for what the Yachtsman charges, that's unforgivable. We ordered our steaks medium, and they came out well-done in most parts, but raw in others. The chef that evening did not have good control over the grill. My husband sent his back because it was really overcooked, and the waiter offered him a free glass of wine. Nice gesture, but it was really awkward to have my meal sitting there, getting cold, waiting for his steak to be re-done. So I started to eat my steak, but that's also awkward, because my husband was starving and who goes out to dinner to eat alone? When the Porterhouse came back, it was cooked better, but still not perfect. The Yachtsman is serving aged steak. The cooking does not match the quality of meat they are using. Our desserts, in contrast to our dinners, were superb. We ordered one of their signature desserts, which had three different banana creations. It was lick the plate clean good. We also had a chocolate dessert that was phenomenal. The Yachtsman offers press pots of loose tea, which was the only restaurant that we encountered that did this on Disney property. I had a jasmine tea that was excellent. If the steaks matched the service here, the Yachtsman would be a 10.

    dmancuso - This was one of the very best meals we've eaten at Walt Disney World in our 16 visits. It was our wedding anniversary and we were pleased to see the event printed on the top of the menus. There were 6 of us and every dish was amazing. Our waiter was very friendly and professional. The food was simply perfect.

    Dobbee69 - Visited September 2009- I had made a reservation for the Yachtsman Steakhouse for my husband’s birthday. He loves a good steak and I was told by my parents who had visited in April that they had the best meal there. We arrived a little early so we had drinks in the bar which you pay for dearly. The atmosphere is ok along with the décor kind of plain but I guess that is what a yacht club would look like. Our meal was very good. My husband enjoyed every bite of his steak and I had the lamb chops which I must say are the best I have ever had. I had called ahead and had ordered a cake for his birthday. I was very disappointed that the cake never arrived and when I brought it to the attention of the waiter he didn’t seemed to be to apologetic. I felt really bad that I had taken my husband to Disney world for his first time and for his birthday and he has no birthday cake. So when I got home I went to the local bakery that we use for a cake! Everyone needs a birthday cake!!!! The waiter was not so great and attentive. Overall the meal was great, the service lacked! I would rather try one of the other signature restaurants next time.

    missminniemouse - The food here is very good. The steaks were prepared perfectly. Desserts were also very enjoyable. This is somewhere we go once every few years, but not on our must do list for every trip. The atmosphere here is nice, but nothing all that special.

    Calvinosaurus - Needing some alone-time, my wife and I left our 3-year-old son with family and headed to the Yachtsman Steakouse. We particularly enjoyed the elegant-but-not-stuffy atmosphere of this restaurant. It was the perfect spot for a romantic dinner for two, but is also family-friendly. The service was excellent. Our server, Samir, was very attentive and personable. I had the seared sea scallops and was very happy with them. My wife ordered the Lobster Bisque and did not care for it. Samir promptly took it away and offered to bring something else. For our entrees, we ordered the New York Strip and the Filet Mignon. Both were perfectly prepared and good, but for the price paid I was honestly expecting more. I have had steaks as good for much less. The overall experience here was a positive one, but you can probably find better value for your money elsewhere.

    rtobe - I've eaten here solo and with a friend. Both times were excellent. Beef is the king here. Good wine list. My server was able to make suggestions about how to have my steak prepared and wine pairing that I would not have thought of. Can't wait to come again.

    OKW Lover - Perhaps our favorite restaurant at WDW. The steak here is always cooked exactly the way you request it and the quality of meat is great. The service is outstanding with knowledgeable servers and a refined atmosphere. Good selection of wines to accompany your meal and pocketbook. The pull-apart onion rolls with the spread-able roasted garlic and butter are a wonderful way to start off the meal. Just try not to fill up on that! The place is expensive (over $40 for a filet) but you do get a good value for your money


Proper attire is business casual. Please no tank tops, swimming suits or swim suit cover ups, t-shirts, hats, flip-flop style footwear, or torn clothing in the dining room.
