    FigmentGal96 - I visited Captain Cooks twice during my recent stay at the Polynesian: once for lunch and once for dinner. On a Wednesday in January I did not expect this location to be busy for lunch, but there was a line waiting to order. Unfortunately, none of the cast members in this location were doing anything to move the line along, so at time kiosks went unused as people thought they all had to use the very first one. I saw people order the wrong things, or think that they ordered multiple of an item when they only ordered one. Be careful with the kiosk if you are technologically challenged :-) I ordered the Stir Fry Noodles with Chicken ($8.49) and a fountain beverage ($2.59), which came to a total of $11.81 with tax. The cashier rang me up immediately, and then I waited. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be ready. That being the case, I can't imagine what this location must be like during a busy time of year. The dish was delicious. I got clear to the bottom of it and wanted more to appear. I would order it again and recommend it to others. For dinner this location was a little less busy at 7:30pm. I ordered the multigrain turkey club sandwich with fries ($10.64 after tax), and it came out very quickly. My pager went off before I finished filling my resort mug at the fountain. The fries were fresh and hot, and the sandwich also seemed prepared to order. If you're in a rush, try the sandwich. Based on these menu items, I would recommend this location.

    Buckalew11 - This was a "surprise" visit. We were actually staying at the S/D and went over to visit DVC's BLT. After the visit were decided to take the monorail and eat here so my husband could eat noodles since he was running the marathon the next morning. I had the BBQ sandwich and chips and it was so delicious. I was not expecting to really care for it and it will definitely be on my places to visit next trip even though it's "out of the way." To me, it was that good. We ate outside, the beauty of the Poly surrounded us and we has a squirrel visit too. It doesn't get much better than that!

    Missmaggiemay - Ate here a few times for lunch during my Poly stay -tried many different items and was disappointed except for the french fries and Dole whips Have eaten at many deluxe/moderate food courts and would rate this on the low end.

    ashumard - I ordered the Hawaiian pizza for lnuch one afternoon and it was surprisingly good! Theye is plenty of seating in the afternoon may be a bit crowded in the am. There is even outdoor seating which was very nice. I came down here quite a bit to refill my mug, the only downside is that the drink station is right in front of the door.

    2wdwfans - I did order a breakfast sandwich one time, and it was good but nothing too fancy. Great place to get Dole whips without standing in the long line at the Dole booth in the Magic Kingdom. We would stop in and grab a breakfast bar, fruit, milk, water, and/or sodas as we were leaving for the parks. My wife and I both grabbed a tuckey club as we wre leaving the resort to head back to the airport. It was a very good sandwich and much better than airport food.

    burberryplaid - We always go here to get our Tonga Toast because it's quick and you don't need an ADR. We had one great experience as the resort was quiet and we enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the resort. Our second visit was not as successful as the resort was busy and noisey. The tables were sticky and there was trash everywhere. We will go back, but only during the quieter times of the year. If it is a busier time, we'll go to Kona for Tonga Toast instead.

    klam_chowder - A place to get a Dole Whip outside of the parks! However, they seem to be made more with water than the ones from MK.

    stitchlover - We quickly grew tired of the choices at this counter service. Except for the adult grilled cheese. I could eat that thing everyday! The ordering system has quite a few kinks that they still need to work out. If you make any modifications to your order you need to verify that they are still on your order when you pay at the cashier. But don't be fooled into thinking that they then make the move to the kitchen! Because they are either not showing up in the kitchen or the staff is not reading the modifications. I would say at least 75% of orders came out of the kitchen wrong. Which then lead to the frustration and time of having orders prepared again.

    minie_meese - We eat here only when we need to. The food is not bad but we hated the touch screens. You wait in line for the touch screen, then you get things out of the cooler (except for soft serve Dole Whip), then you have to wait in line to pay. You get a beeper after you pay and then you need to go up to the window and stand in line again to pick up your food. There is minimal indoor seating. Most of the guests were very confused as were we the first time through. The food isn't bad and you can get a soft serve Dole Whip. A deluxe resort should have something better than this - I give this a very qualified yes recommendation, but only because the food is mostly decent.

    Tink rules - We eat here when we stay at the poly... the breakfast is standard with Mickey Waffles and eggs, etc. We liked the offerings for lunch/dinner - especially the turkey sandwich - it comes in 3 sections and we have been able to share it many times. Good thing is the dole whips served here (without the juice...)

    mmmears - The grilled cheese and veggie lo mein were pretty good for a CS place. My DD was thrilled by the Dole Whip machine. The service (to get our order) was very slow. We waited and waited for our meal. The person said it was because we asked for no chicken in the lo mein.

    Carolinagal - Captain Cooks is a great place to stop for those who need a quick meal or to pick up breakfast. The pastry counter contains lots of fresh goodies - our favorites are the Blueberry Muffins! The hot food is ordered using a touch screen kiosk, but do not dare to ask for any changes or you will muck up the works! The flat bread pizza is adequate, while the Lo Mein is plontiful and satisfying. Our picky eater loves the grilled cheese. Salads, fresh fruit, and other healthy options are available in the cold case. The staff really makes an effort to keep the dining room clean, so it is a pleasant place to grab a quick bite.
