    wgeo - This was very standard Disney counter service. The food tasted the exact same as every other place on property, which is fine if you want the Disney burger/chicken nuggets type lunch. They do have a condiment bar that is very nice. On the day we went it was so empty they had closed off entire seating areas because they weren't needed. There were so many CM's walking around keeping the place clean, that one of them picked up a stuffed dinosaur and was walking around to tables, talking to the kids like he was the dinosaur. Kind of funny, except that the CM didn't know when to leave a table and move on and it was a little awkward. The kids meals here are more expensive because they come in a pail with a shovel. The pail/shovel are very cheap quality, like you would get from the dollar store. If you ask when you order they will give you the kids meal with NO shovel/pail and reduce the price of the meal by $2. That is much nicer then carting around the cheap pail all day and then having it break on you.

    tinalynnstage - My 5 year old son ate the adult hot dog topped with Mac and cheese. The bun was a bit oversized, but the Mac and cheese was incredible! I ordered a kids meal so we could get a sand bucket and shovel for the dino playground. Lots of seating, even during the holiday. And, there were outlets available to charge our phones. The free refills make this spot a must on each visit to AK.

    lauran - As a quick service burger type place it was a very good lunch. We thought the topping bar was very plentiful, the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. I could get sweet potato fries which are my favorite. No one liked the straws, we understand why they use them, we just don't like the straws. For what they offer, the food is very good.

    Nadjalu - Not sure why but we always end up at this CS for AK day. Of course we don't complain as it is the best place for a CS burger IMO. Both DH and I get this option and it is very good. The bun while the new "grain" bun, doesn't desinegrate here like at other places. Maybe the air??? So that is a plus. The toppings bar is fabulous. And the chocolate mousse cup is very good. The best option for dessert. And I cannot say enough about the cool air!!!

    Andy48 - Restaurantosaurus is a pretty typical Disney theme park counter service spot - solid, if somewhat unspectacular food. Hamburgers and chicken nuggets were both fine, fries were OK. Excellent fixins bar to top your burgers with veggies. Desserts were also OK: the chocolate mousse was a step up from the ubiquitous chocolate-cake-in-a-cup we found everywhere else. We ate a little on the early edge of lunchtime (11:30am), and that may have made all the difference in the service and atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, easily handled a change to my order after it already went to the kitchen. Not sure they could've done that once the place filled up after noon... and it sure fills up quickly. Only pet peeve - kids' meals come with a shovel and pail. No Animal Kingdom logos, no Mickey Mouse picture... just a plain shovel and pail you can find at any dollar store. What's the point? I don't want to use precious space in my suitcase lugging these home. Bottom Line: Nothing special, but if you're looking for the usual park fare for the kids, Restaurantosaurus is perfectly fine. Just tell them to skip the kids' meal toys.

    JaxsonsMom - It was crazy crowded. There are not a lot of options for picky eaters in AK, so they all end up here, my son included. The food was not good, I believe I ate more off the topping bar than my hamburger. The pail the kids meal is cute, but remember you have to pack it. I don't think we would come back.

    Mom2SamandJames - We ate here because our boys were starved, and we were in DinoLand. We should have walked elsewhere. The lines were long. The service was SLOW, and the food was terrible. We all ended up with indigestion after this meal. I didn't know you could mess up chicken nuggets and fries, but this restaurant did. The condiment bar wasn't bad. The tables were filthy. I am glad I had wipes in the diaper bag. The bathrooms were atrocious. My four year old son refused to use their toilet. We had to find another bathroom for him to use.

    WaDiWo - At one point in time, this was an empty hidden away place in the corner of AK ... and we loved our little secret hideaway, with good burgers and fixins bar. And mcd's fries! Now, I'm not 100% sure, but aren't the fries gone now? and now of course this place is no secret.

    msc_idiot - The food was really pretty good and the seating (once we found a seat) was comfortably open. However we stood in line for about 30 minutes, only about 10 of that was waiting to give our order. They were painfully slow getting us our food. But it was pretty good food.

    GreenCacher - The restaurantosaurus has cool theming, but it does lack in the quality of food. The burgers are okay, and they do have a topping bar, so if you are in the mood for it, it's not too bad. Generally I would recommend Flame Tree Barbecue or Pizzafari.

    DeVineMom - Yuck!! This is not a good dining location. Bad burgers, fries, and nuggets. It can be very difficult to find a place to sit. I really don't ever plan on eating here again.


Counter Service with plenty of indoor seating. The theming is based on it being the home to student paleontologists who converted it to a restaurant. There are all sorts of fun props around this casual dining eatery.
