    Rosemerta - I have never had a bad meal here and we eat here frequently. Don't let the long line scare you away. We sometimes have trouble finding a seat, but if the weather is nice there are a lot of options outside.

    Jannephotog - EoS serves up a killer sandwich quickly and for a good price. The line looked pretty long when we walked up during lunch time but by time we had made it to the counter to order, we had a decision made and quickly moved through the line and had our sandwiches made and on the table, the whole process taking around 10 minutes or so. Love the fact that the DDP is also used at this quick service.

    conefrog - Great dining option at a great price. The sandwiches and salads are yummy! If there is a long line DO NOT let that stop you from trying Earl of Sandwich. The line moves very quickly. We ate here twice on our last trip in Novemenber 2012 and we will eat here again on our trip in May 2013.

    wgeo - This is a destination restaurant for us. My DH says it is hands down his favorite place to eat in all of Disney World. We've gone in the fall when they offer the Holiday Sandwich, would strongly recommend it - turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberries and that bread! Their warm bread is just fabulous, it has a biscuit quality to it which we really like. They have a lot of fresh sides available to choose. The sides are in front of you as you go down the line cafeteria style. Great desserts, especially the chocolate brownie. There is a fountain so you can refill your beverage, which is a plus. The lines are often long but the move quite fast. You get a beeper after your order and we usually just have enough time to find a seat and get our beverages and our sandwiches are ready. The only con, is that you have to hunt for a table at times, but there seems to be a quick turnover and I like being able to sit outside.

    rn4val - This was one of our favorite places we ate on our trip last December. Even though the lines were long the moved quickly. First visit got a sandwich which was amazing. Second visit got one of their salads and also very good. Second time we made a special visit ti DTD just to eat here from OKW. Wish we had an Earl of Sandwich in Oklahoma.

    meeko987 - This was our favorite meal for this year's 5 day holiday vacation. We were lucky to score tables during the busiest week of the year. Earl is similar to Panera. You order at a register, you sit down, and you wait for your number to be called. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food was very good all around. I started with a deliciously creamy tomato soup with wonderful croutons. I followed it with a vege sandwich, with very good bread and flavorful veges. My wife felt the same way about her vege sandwich. Our kids split a grilled cheese, whose bread keeps it a step above your usual kids grilled cheese. The prices are reasonable (in line with a place like Panera). A must stop for future visits.

    bellebookworm9 - Despite our prior disappointment with Earl's, I gave it another try on 1/10 with a different sandwich: The Veggie, hold the red peppers. It was a very good sandwich and so big I could only eat half! My friend had the All American and she enjoyed it as well. I went here with a group of 11 people total on 1/12 around 7pm (I forsee going here a lot on our college program since it's not too far from our apartment and it's cheap). We saw it was kind of busy so we set up four tables and eleven chairs outside, then half of us went into order and half stayed to guard the table. The line was long, but moved quickly. I chose the Original 1762 and it was so much better than the last time I'd had it three months ago. Perhaps a little too much horseradish. I also chose a triple chocolate brownie which was amazing: moist, chewy, chocolate chips throughout. I chose to give the Earl's Grey Tea a go since normally I love iced tea mixed with lemonade. The only problem was this was legitimately cold tea with lemonade so it was very strong.

If you don't beat the lunch rush though you will be in a long but relatively steady moving line because everything is made to order. The Full Montague and broccolli 'n cheese soup are my picks. DH had the Italian it was good to.

    bellebookworm9 - We ordered lunch from here around noon on 10/11 and took it back to our resort. The line was long but moved pretty quickly. Our choice was the Original 1762 with a side of coleslaw. We were disappointed this time around. The sandwich was good, but the meat was very fatty. The coleslaw was mostly cabbage, and it was dated the day before (don't know if that meant anything). I think next time we will go back to Wolfgang Puck Express.

    thetony45 - The sandwichs are excellent. They are way better than Subway or Quiznos. I got a meatball sub, a huge muffin and a large soda with free refills all with me dining plan. I even made a special trip back to downtown Disney just to eat here again.

    flamingglobessigmund - The day we decided to eat here, it was almost wall to wall people. The line wrapped around the corner. However, it went very fast. We were handed menu printouts and offers to answer any questions by the very friendly attendants. When we got to the front, we saw that across the check out counter was a refrigerator case. Metal mesh baskets are available. We placed our order of 4 sandwiches at the first cash register, was handed a beeper, and proceeded down the line to the other cash registers to pay. Along this path we picked up macaroni salad & potato salad $1.99/each, 2 desserts, a cupcake, bag of chips, 2 bottles of Dasani, and a bottle of beer (which is poured into a plastic cup behind the counter.) All that food for $44 and change! The sandwiches are very tender and filling. Probably the best I've tasted in a very long time. The salads are good too. The desserts were tasty. Everything tasted fresh. Don't let the crowds put you off from trying this place. They are very well organized and know how to get good food to the people quickly.

    Disney-Obsessed - Every time I go, I order an Earl's Club and a warm, creamy tomato soup. The lines get extremely long during lunch time, but they move quickly. It's best to just avoid the crowd altogether and get an early or late lunch...

    Carl Fredricksen - If you not on the Dining Plan, this is the best value for the buck available on the property in our opinion. The sandwiches were very good and filling, the side options were great and the prices were very inexpensive compared to other restaurants on the property. We like it so much we went back and used our last 2 counter service credits on our last day to get some more sandwiches for the long trip home. I had a couple of good sandwiches during the week, but this would be my first pick if I could only pick one place to go for a quick sandwich meal. The only downside is they are always busy, so there is a line all the time, but it moves quickly. And the drink stations can get crowded, but all of it is worth the wait. It may be a little off the beaten path for park goers, but if you are near Downtown definitely check it out.

    MissBritt - I had a quick dinner here with a friend on 3/14/2010. I had the Full Montague, and she had the turkey sandwich. I am so impressed by the quality and taste of the sandwiches here, and the speed of ordering and food preparation. The hot sandwich was excellent on a slighty chilly evening, and the restuarant had plenty of seating. The price absolutely cannot be beat, and I hope to return on future trips.

    Yzerbear19 - My sister and I were looking for a counter service restaurant at Downtown Disney and decided to try Earl of Sandwich. I had the Original without the horseradish sauce. My sister had the ham and swiss sandwich. It was a bit confusing what was part of the dinning plan. I opted for the macaroni salad. My sister choose the fruit/yogurt cup. My sandwich was good, but a bit bland. It needed a sauce. The meat was delicious. The bread was a bit overcooked/burnt. My sister really liked hers. I enjoyed the macaroni salad. The atmosphere was fun. We really enjoyed our meal and will go back.

    Lillyfreshen - I eat at Earl of Sandwich fairly often - it's an inexpensive, delicious option while at Dowtown Disney. The line can get pretty long, but they really are fast and very friendly. The BLT is really good - and so is the holiday option (thanksgiving dinner on a sandwich). Refills are great for the beverages - and you can sit inside or outside. If you get there early or later in the day, the lines aren't too bad. For under $10 you can get a really good lunch!

    barrbr - Our experience here was absolutely horrible! I wouldn't eat here again if it was the only resturant open. I so wish we had gone to the McDonald's instead. the sandwiches were not very good. The whole area that you pickup your sandwiches was so disorganized and confusing that it took 5-10 minutes after your buzzer went off to get your sandwiches.

    FigmentGal96 - We stopped here for a late breakfast/early lunch on a Sunday before we started our drive home. I was impressed immediately with the decor, large menu, reasonable prices, available seating, and how quickly the line was moving. The least pleasant part of our experience here was the person who took our order. We were on the Disney Dining Plan and wanted to use our last quick service meals. It was unclear as to what I could order for child's meal so I asked. The response I got was, "We don't have kids meals. Just pick anything." Okay... so I ordered my son a sandwich and then asked what we could choose for sides on the plan. I got a big sigh and, "Just pick any two items less than 2.50." That's all well and fine except that at least 50% of the items to choose from up at the register weren't labeled, and the line was really moving too fast to try to find the prices up on the menu board. I ended up choosing something for my son that was actually more than $2.50, but the cashier put it through and didn't charge me for it. I didn't even know until I looked at the receipt later. The food here was very good. It was a welcome relief to sit with a pager while they made our sandwiches. I would absolutely eat here again- in fact, I look forward to it. Highly recommend!!

Don't be put off by the long line - it moves quickly and you are given a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready for collection. it is a very quick, slick operation.

    dwheaton - This is easily the best dining value at Walt Disney World. The sandwiches are made to order and there are a wide array of options. And they offer free refills on soda! There is indoor and a good amount of outdoor seating to accommodate the large crowds. The line does move pretty quickly, so don't be discouraged by long lines. It's worth making a trip just for lunch here, assuming you can find a place to park.

I have seen this place get very crowded by the staff is friendly and efficient. You don't have to wait long at all. There is not a lot of seating inside but since it is in Downtown Disney, there are plenty of seating outside.

So good in fact she would not let me have anymore than a few bites! Her boyfriend also got a sandwich and said his was great too... the lines can be long but that just means it is a great place to eat! This is a must do for the marketplace!

    ChoirBoy - This is probably hands down the best food in Downtown Disney. I just moved down to the area and have already eaten here twice this week. However, it is at Disney World prices- meaning, it cost nearly $10 a person to get just a 9 inch sandwich, chips, and a regular fountain drink. But bottom line: While it may cost more than your average Subway or other franchise sandwich shop, it is the best sandwich around, and the best meal in the Downtown Disney area. Plus, it is not your average burgers or chicken fingers.

    exwdwcm - We LOVE Earle of Sandwich, we make a point to eat here at least once or twice each trip. And when I travel on business to orlando, i usually make my way over there at least twice. The line can look intimading sometimes, but it moves VERY fast. My only complaint is that they need a larger space - the way they manage the order process is a bit crazy- you wait in line, place your order, then you move down to another register to actually pay. Then you wait to hear your number called to pick up your food. THe problem is that where you pick up your food is right by the seating area and soda machine, so it is always crowded in that area. Other than this one issue- Earle is fabulous. We LOVE the tomato soup and yummy sandwiches. We like the wide variety, although I noticed they took my fav, "Le Frenchy" off the menu. They will customize the sandwich how you want and the portions are huge. There are free refills on the drinks. SEating inside is limited, so it is best to usually have someone grab a table, while the others get in line (this is in HOT months when you want AC!). If it is nice outside, I highly recommend sitting outside and on one corner of hte patio, you can watch the caraousel and it is so relaxing. My whole family are now Earle fans- they love it too.

    DLBDS - I always get the Earl's Club and sometimes get the Tomato soup if I go during the cooler part of the year. They're both AWESOME. My daughter loves the Chicken Caesar salad. Prices here are reasonable and you get plenty of food. My advice is to avoid peak dining times. Arrive early for lunch and dinner.

    Carolinagal - I visited Earl of Sandwich after hearing a recommendation on the podcast, and my only regret was I hadn't found it sooner. The sandwiches are truly outstanding and worth the wait - unusual ingredients and combinations. I have not tried the salads but they look great, too. The All American and the Earl's Club are special favorites. The lines do move quickly but I wish the lines were more manageable - we wait at least 30 minutes each visit.
