Disgirl17 - Our service was wonderful and we had a table by the window which was great. The bread sampling was great. Dinner itself was pretty good - not outstanding but good. It was different flavors I had never had before. I would go here again and I think it was a good value for the cost of the meal. Boma is better in my opinion but boma cost us double the cost, so it is a give and take

Crashley234 - We had a fabulous lunch at Sanaa. Our party consisted of myself, my husband and our good friend. Even though we were seated in the back area of the restaurant we still had a great view of the savannah and were able to enjoy the many animals marching past the windows as we munched on naan. We ordered the Indian Style Bread service to share between us. Oh my goodness this was good I would come back here just to have drinks and this bread service yum-o. My husband and I shared the Beef Short Ribs and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice for a entree. The meat was tender and the rice was perfectly prepared. We were very pleased and thought it was a great size to share considering how much naan we had eaten! Our friend had the Sustainable fish of the day which happened to be salmon. He said it was one of the best pieces of salmon he had every had. Th service was just ok but the quality of food and atmosphere made up for the just ok service in my book. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing meal while at AKL.

TinkerChelle - Dined with my wife and 2 small children during our 2012 trip. The staff was wonderful especially with my children. Went out of their way to accommodate our 2 year old. The rating of 7 is probably a little low for the average Indian food fan. We are very big Indian food fans and although the food was good, we have had much better near or around the Chicago land area. Having said that, we would dine here again; although this time with tempered expectations.

MichelleS - We had a 9:20 pm reservation for Sanaa due to our late arrival in Orlando from Chicago. It was Thursday December 6th and even though it was late the restaurant was rather busy. We were seated next to the kitchen. We started with cocktails which were good but took a while â€“ they had to find the bartender. I had the Pimmâ€™s Punch which the waiter inquired if I was familiar with Pimmâ€™s, which I am; Iâ€™m guessing some are not. OH had the Truffle Olive Martini (not worth it just go with a regular Martini). We really were not all that hungry being late so we split the Choice of Three Salads â€“ Watermelon, cucumber and fennel seed (good), Chickpeas with cucumber and tomato (blah) and Bhel Puri salad (very good). Later we asked to add on the roasted beet salad (the waiter recommended it as well as the Bhel Puri salad so we figured since the Bhel Puri salad was good we decided to listen to him again) to learn they ran out of beet salad. We also split a sampler entrÃ©e â€“ shrimp with green curry sauce and spicy duran chicken, we later added an extra side of basmati rice. The sauces were really excellent. We let the waiter know we liked spice and they certainly stepped it up. The meal was very good. Service was rather slow but it was late and Iâ€™m sure they were trying to clean up to get out of there. I really liked the food and certainly will go back.

GoofEeyore26 - I love Indian food, and this place did not let us down. The flavor and variety for both lunch and dinner are great. The staff has been fantastic every time we've been there. If you want to go someplace that does haven't the "dumbed down" food that some places on property have, this is it. If you like spicy food, you're in the right place! Oh and go during the day and night and the atmosphere is so different, it feels like two restaurants.

Marth72 - My family has been to Jiko many times and love it, but it is on the pricey side of Disney restaurants. This hasn't kept us from going there, but decided to try out Sanaa for a change of pace. When we arrived we were first surprised by how pretty the dining area was. We went for a late dinner so it was dark and you couldn't see any animals, but the dim lights made the fake trees and other decorations look amazing. The cast members that greeted us and served us were delightful which just made the atmosphere even better. I've heard that going while it is light outside and sitting by a window is nice too so you can see the animals while dining. Now onto the food. I like that the menu at Sanaa has more of an Indian flare to it than Jiko. I chose a dish where I picked two dishes and got to choose either wild or plain basmati rice with it. I picked Saag Paneer and a Potato dish in a tomato sauce along with basmati rice. My favorite was the Saag Paneer, a spinach dish with bits of cheese in it. The paneer was extremely good and is in many of the restaurant's other dishes. For my family I would say that Sanaa is better for us than Jiko, and we LOVE Jiko! We like the Indian spices that are used at Sanaa and that it is less expensive. Overall, Sanaa has good food and an excellent atmosphere.

tlcav - Sanaa was by far the highlight of our dining week at Disney this November. We usually try one new restaurant each trip and enjoy our favorites at Epcot and in the resorts. We love to try new things and consider ourselves to be adventurous eaters, but you donâ€™t have to be adventurous to love this restaurant. We are a family of 4 with a 10 & 13 year old and Sanaa was a hit with everyone. We ordered the slow cooked â€œcomboâ€ meals. The meals come with rice and two choices. Between us we tried the Beef Short Ribs, chicken red curry, shrimp and green curry, and African spiced chicken. All were flavorful and soft. Only one I would consider to be spicy. Our kids liked the short ribs and compared it to a crockpot stew. We all had a three dish dessert sampler and the Chai cream dessert was to die for. As far as service goes this restaurant is top notch. My son has a peanut allergy and the Chef and waiter handled it well. The waiter explained the menu nicely (African with an Indian influence) and discussed flavors and customs with us throughout the service. He brought over a sauce for us to try and showed us how to combine the flavors. I highly recommend Sanaa and we will return on our next trip.

StarRiDust - This restaurant is really good! And since it's kind of new so reservations are really easy to do. The food is really good and I definitely recommend the shrimp green curry. The quality of the shrimp is amazing and they are huge!

rubysparkles - My family were quite worried about things being to spicy (especially in July heat), but our server was very helpful. I had the scallops to start, which were nice however not worth the money in my opinion. We all liked our food and loved the setting. I'd booked this as a surprise because my mum really wanted to stay in this hotel. It exceeded our expectations and was a perfect start for our holiday.

ashleighbass06 - Sanaa was one of my favorite restaurants from my last trip. To be able to look out the window by your table and see giraffes and zebras is unbelievable. Even the inside of the restaurant is decorated beautifully. One downside is that the menu is pretty small and there is not much on it for someone who is adverse to spicy foods, like me. I cannot say enough about the short ribs. OH MY GOSH they were delicious! Make sure someone in your party gets them and steal some! Also, the desserts are to die for. All-in-all, Sanaa is not to be overlooked, great ending to an Animal Kingdom day!

mlangille - the service was super. I was initially apprehensive about the menu but it was wonderful. Even my children ages 12 and 8 enjoyed there meals. The service was also excellent - we even had a phone call to our room thank us for going - that kind of touch is hard to beat. The first part of the meal we ate and watched exotic animals room, the second part we got to watch a lightening show. Exceptional service and food quality as well. Could have been the best hen I have ever eaten. Perfectly cooked!

I<3EvilQueen - We stopped in here on our Sept 09 trip and I really enjoyed this meal. The server was friendly and the place was cozy and we felt that we could just sit and chat with friends and enjoy ourselves without feeling rushed. I wasn't thrilled with my order, although it was good, it was just that what everyone else ordered looked better. I had the Tandori Shrimp. I would highly suggest that you get the Bread here.

ead79 - We ate at Sanaa for dinner on 12/6. The restaurant is really themed beautifully with a very nice ambience. None of us were super hungry, so we skipped the appetizer course. For entrees, 3 of us had a variety of the dishes that are slow cooked in gravy. Between the 3 of us, we had one of each choiceâ€”the chicken with red curry sauce, shrimp with green curry sauce, and beef short ribs. The chicken was the hands down winner for us all with a delicious flavor, not too spicy but still full of flavor. The short ribs were also good, but we didnâ€™t care for the flavor of the green curry sauce that was on the shrimp. My mom tried the tandoori shrimp, which was a bit too spicy for her taste. Since her dish was a bit hot for her, she ordered a side of Naan bread to help ease the heat. The Naan bread was a real standout and probably the best bread we had eaten in a long time. For dessert, the 4 of us all split a vanilla-coconut rice pudding. The reviews on that were a mixed bag with 2 of us enjoying the dessert and the other 2 finding it just OK. All in all, we would return here, but it wasnâ€™t our favorite meal of the trip. I wouldnâ€™t recommend it for a picky eater, but it is an enjoyable change of pace.

cabarnes55 - The food is very different here, so if you aren't an adventurous eater, this isn't for you. I also want to tell you that I so wanted to love this restaurant - I was very excited about trying it. Our waitress started out great, helping us with our choices, explaining things. If you are on the meal plan, your food is very limited and without any appetizer, this is not enough food for the average adult. We ordered the breads (2 of them for 6 people) with the different spreads and it was great, but not covered under the meal plan. Everyone had something different. I had the Tandori Shrimp which was good but the rice, the shrimp and the sauce portions, which were served separately, were very small. Only my son, who had the duck, had a decent sized meal. The dessert was interesting. Artistically presented, but nothing amazing and small portions. Our waitress, who was attentive at first, disappeared once the breads were served and we spent long times without her ever coming by the table. We were at the restaurant for over an hour and a half. The redeeming factors with this restaurant are the view of the savanna and the decor, otherwise they need to work on the service and meal portions. Most of my score comes from the decor and savanna view.

mceranowski - The Indian Bread service was very good. I had the Tandoori Lamb Chops which were perfectly cooked as well as delicious. My wife is a big curry fan and had the dinner that you can choose two; chicken with red curry and shrimp with green curry sauces were her choices. Something in curry does not agree with curry, but according to my wife it was excellent and some of the best she has had. Everything there was very good including service. A little surprised this was one credit on DDP, likely that is because it is new and would expect that they will make it 2 credits in the futue.

Cap.Steamboat Willie - Sanaa offers its patrons predominantly Indian cuisine in a very comfortable and exotic setting. We get to see a great view of the savanna animals while dining on pretty decent dishes. In the spirit of full disclosure I must note that I love appetizers and variety. If I had my druthers, I would just order several appetizers instead of a big entree as my meal. This restaurant caters to us who prefer to nosh and nibble. Comparisons to Boma and Jiko should not be made, in my opinion, Sanaa does strive to make its own unique mark and is successful. That said one could make a case that Disney decision makers tried to merge the two; namely: the variety of Boma's buffet with Jiko's coziness and regional daring cuisine choices. As the restaurant stands now I would highly recommend to those individuals who do not mind trying Indian flavors. Trust me they do not go as far as they could and I found out that they are willing to accommodate the truly adventurous. We were a party of six and had a variety of tastes (some of us were bit more daring than others), but we had a great waiter that catered to our table. Like an elite tailor, he worked with the chef and our individual tastes and we had a truly wonderful dining experience. Please Please Please make friends with your waiter and let him/her know your likes and ask them their recommendations and what the chef suggests. My only complaint was with the desserts. I think they need to find a signature dessert that is refreshing and complimentary. After indulging in such lively and vibrate flavors, super sweet or strong flavors just do not agree with one's palette or favors the full dining experience. Hopefully they will continue to tweak that (and only that) aspect of the meal and not lobotomize the current menu.

pilgrimr - We went to Sanaa for dinner on opening week. It was a very nice experience for us. The food is described as African dishes with a Indian influence. The theming of the restuarant is very nice and it has a great view of the savanah. The cast members were very friendly and were able to answer every question we had and was able to offer recomendations. The menu was set up so that it told you what wines would go well with your dinner. We had tried the indian bread with the accompaniments for the appitzer. My wife had the chicken tandoori soup and I had the slow cooed in gravy meal (I had shrimp and beef, plus rice). We also had the sampler desert. It was helpful to have cast member that we well knowledgable about the menu, because we had alot of questions. The dinner was great, but to be honest it was not my type of meal. I enjoyed my experience very much there, but I don't know if I will go again. I do think if you are adventuresome and like that type of food, you should go for it.
