Daydreaming About My Bucket-List Adventures by Disney Vacation

Daydreaming About My Bucket-List Adventures by Disney Vacation spd-disnyland-backstage-magic

With all of the spare time we’ve had at my house recently, we’ve been putting Disney+ to use and re-watching some favorites. Over the last couple of nights, we watched Saving Mr. Banks followed by Mary Poppins then finished with Mary Poppins Returns. Both my husband and I absolutely LOVE Saving Mr. Banks because of the places and backstory that’s shared. We’re enamored by how things came to be with P.L. Travers and how persistent Walt Disney was to publish her story. The music that was written by the Sherman brothers and how Travers actually danced makes me all teary every single time I watch. I just love it and I’m already ready to watch it again. Besides that, Mary Poppins is one of my all-time childhood favorite movies – that and The Sound of Music – ahh, the memories.

This brings me to my newest favorite series on Disney+ – Prop Culture. We watched the first episode in this series after we finished the three films above and it was all about Mary Poppins. They showed some of the most beloved props from the film and I nearly lost my mind. That was when my husband said it, the words I’ve been waiting to hear for YEARS – “Is there an Adventures by Disney trip we could go on that would let us tour some of these places?”

Umm… YES!! As a matter of fact, there sure is and even though we cannot go on it right now, it just so happens that the 2021 itineraries are about to be released and that could give us the time we need to save up for it. So, “let me tell you all about it,” I said trying to control my excited-ness.

After spending some time reading recent trip reports about the Backstage Magic trip from Adventures by Disney, we’ve been somewhat obsessed with it. We both LOVE Disneyland like nobody’s business and not only would going on a trip like this be a dream come true for me, the fact that my husband would get such a kick out of it and really enjoy himself is what makes me feel like we need to make this swoon-worthy vacation happen somehow.

There used to be a time way back when I never thought we’d be able to afford to go on a Disney Cruise vacation, but that changed a couple of years ago when we celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary aboard the Disney Fantasy. It was his first cruise ever and my second and both of us had the time of our lives and can hardly wait to go again.

Take a look at the quick video below where John Magi and Kevin Klose explain a bit about the upcoming 2021 Adventures and let me know in the comments which one(s) you’d go on in a heartbeat if dreams really do come true!
