- Overall Impression: It was Ok. The only reason we stayed here as we were in a group reservation. Our room was far from the food court and we walked our first night 5 km just walking back and forth from our room, trying to resolve grocery delivery issues.

Checkin was a little long and the lobby was a little crazy but with Rise just opening this is understandable. Also, Yeeha Bob happened to be sick (the guy the brought in to fill was ok) but he provides great entertainment

- Overall Impression: Still would like the Ray shower curtain!! My family has stayed at French quarter, Caribbean Beach, All-stars, and Saratoga Spring!! If you are staying in the preferred area bar none this is the best resort we have stayed at.. French Quarter would be second! I have noticed the front desk at the lat two resorts we have stayed at the service has been sub par! Saratoga and Riverside. The rest of Riverside more then made up for it. The staff everywhere else was more then accommodating, pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable. Being in the preferred location was quiet and close to everything. Entertainment in Yehaa Bob Jackson was second to none in all Disney, such a great man. In between sets talked and signed autographs for any and all people who waited. John Berko should be very proud of a lot of things being done well there!

However, the atmosphere at AKL is something I can't explain other than it just feels so welcoming! I would love to stay there again.

With the added parking fee, I am rethinking any future visits. I had planned on a once-in-a-lifetime dream trip to WDW in the future (about a month) but it would cost me hundreds just to park my car, so I've been re-thinking my 'dream trip' to another location where I'm not nickeled and dimed.

I adored the grounds and the theming of the resort -- I think Port Orleans Resort as a whole has the best theming of all moderate resorts. The food is alright and the rooms are fine but nothing all that special. My one true issue with this resort is the transportation. Unless you're going to Disney Springs, you must take a bus everywhere. And, given the sprawling nature of the resort, a bus might be full by the time it gets to your stop. Pro Tip: take the walk to the bus stop outside the lobby for the shortest wait.

This works great for our family of 3, and I wish there were more resorts on property that had this room configuration. That's the main reason we chose Riverside. We like being in building 34 at the back of the resort, super close to the West Depot bus stop.

- Overall Impression: Port Orleans Riverside is a beautiful resort. The food court has lots of options and the ability to walk for 10 minutes to French Quarter gives you even more choices for dining. The many quiet pools provide easy access to quiet swimming, a benefit since the main pool becomes very busy at times. Using the buses can be cumbersome, but the boat to The Springs is great. Although I enjoyed my stay I would prefer other moderate resorts (French Quarter or Caribbean Beach) or Pop Century (as a cheaper option) over Riverside.

This is not the place to stay if you are looking for modern decor and theming. This is a sprawling riverside resort with a distinctively country air. While beautiful in architecture I thought the area with the mansions relied on the buildings alone and lacked some of the Southern charm and escapism the other areas of the resort captured so well.

- Overall Impression: For a moderate resort, the value of the stay was on par. Personally, I did not like the theming (stayed in the Alligator Bayou) but that isn't a knock on the resort as many others really like it. In the section of the resort we stayed in, it was like a jungle, but that's part of the charm of the theme. The property, in my opinion, was not conducive to walking around and exploring.
The food court was cool, and the kids really liked watching the water wheel. Food was great for quick service with plenty of options.
Cast members were great and on par with what you would expect. Very helpful.
Would I stay here again? Maybe, only because I wasn't blown away by the theming and would probably like to try the French Quarter. I like the pool and property at Coronado better during my stay in 2017 (pre-tower).

- Overall Impression: Overall, Port Orleans is not the worst, yet not the best. I wouldn't stay here again of my own volition but would return to enjoy the lounge on other vacations. Also, I would stay in the princess rooms again, but only after I had a little girl of my own.

- Overall Impression: The resort is nice, but it is too spread out. I understand that is a theme for the moderates. I also did not stay here by choice... family trip. I would hate to have stayed even further away from the cafeteria than I did. Those refillable mugs are great, but in today's society of convenience there was none. Felt like I had to force myself to walk there just to get the money out of them that was charged to me. Nice resort if you are not a big park person, but for kids requiring stroller use it is not fun at all. There are elevators, but if you are not in a room near one... take the steps and carry all your stuff. I was just overall disappointed. Transportation was the biggest downfall of this resort for me also. Terrible bus routes and the river boats are slow. Time is money in Disney. If I wanted to lay around and do nothing at a beach, I would have went on vacation there.

- Overall Impression: We had heard a lot of positive things from others who had stayed at Riverside and were disappointed. I expected a bit more enthusiasm, warmth and accuracy from cast members. The WiFi issues were disappointing. And, the transportation was certainly less smooth than we’ve experienced at other resorts. If I had it to do again, I would have stayed at the less expensive Pop for the entire stay or chosen to move to French Quarter instead.

- Overall Impression: Riverside is our favorite resort on property! It is our home and we are always so impressed by the cleanliness, quality, and magic of the whole resort! Even though we only stayed for a night this trip, we loved it! We'll be back in June, and will never quit staying here!

- Overall Impression: It's a beautifully quiet resort and we loved it! We had the choice of 4 resorts to stay with our dog and I think this one best suited us. We had the deluxe dining, which we loved, and the boat to DS was a great ride to alot of fabulous food! Housekeepers are under different rules with dog rooms, but they brought us everything we needed and did a full clean on the 4th night. The cast members were awesome

- Overall Impression: It was just OK. The grounds had a very calm and relaxing vibe. I found it really difficult navigating the grounds... I got lost many times.
The housekeeping was terrible.
I would only stay here again if it was the cheapest option. Otherwise I would prefer to French Quarter (where we stayed in 2016) or try a different resort.

- Overall Impression: Resort is beautiful outside, the rooms were dated at the time of stay (2017). The royal rooms were horribly dark dusty and the room floor was just dirty with food leftover from other guests. Not for us, perfect for those who do not need anything fancy.

- Overall Impression: The atmosphere at Riverside is easy going and relaxing. Just what one would want while on vacation. The boat ride to Disney Springs was the "Bomb"! Bob Jackson is a must see for anyone staying on Disney grounds. His show gets everyone going and having a great time.

- Overall Impression: The transportation here can be very frustrating. There are 4 bus stops and the main stop can get very clustered and it's hard to know which line is going to which park. Resort is incredibly themed and very relaxing. It's also a huge plus that you can walk to French quarter.

- Overall Impression: I love the look of this resort. It's so adorable and the cast members are very friendly. The pools are numerous and usually not too crowded. The dining hall has many options but nothing amazing, although we did not try the full restaurant. YeHaw Bob performed and he was amazing. The walkway along the water is beautiful, and the boat to Disney Springs was fun but slow. The resort was decorated for Christmas, but not overly so. All in all a lovely resort, but not my first choice.

- Overall Impression: I LOVE Port Orleans Riverside. I have gone to Walt Disney World five times in the last four years. The last three of those five trips, I stayed at the Riverside. At the beginning of 2022, my mom and I decided to take another trip in August. When I booked the trip, we booked a different resort. After a few weeks, we decided that there was no where else that we would rather stay.
This resort is BEAUTIFUL! The grounds are always immaculate. One of the best things about this resort is that after a long day in the parks, it is so nice to return to such a quiet and peaceful resort.
The thing I love most about this resort is Yehaa Bob! I took my boyfriend to Disney World for the first time in November. He was so miserable at the thought of sitting in the bar area with Yehaa Bob entertaining the crowd. By the end of the night, he was hooked. He still talks about him.
This resort feels like home.
