D23 has announced their 2017 events. Some of the highlights include:
- Screenings on the Disney Studio lot and at Walt Disney World – Special screenings will include Tangled, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, DuckTales, Gummi Bears, and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers. A Halloween screening event at the Disney Studios will include a Walt Disney Archives exhibit.
- The Official Walt Disney Studios Tour – Just for D23 Gold members, this 2.5 hour tour includes a look into the archives and a tour of Walt Disney’s office suite.
- D23 Behind-The-Scenes Experiences – There will be several behind-the-scenes events at unique Disney locations. Some of the 2016 experiences were an after-hours tour of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and a tour of the Ink & Paint Department at the Walt Disney Studios.
- D23’s Lunch with a Disney Legend – These lunches will be held at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
- Advance Screenings – Screen some of the 2017 films before they’re released to the public.
- D23 Disney Fanniversary Celebration – Epcot 35 – Celebrate Epcot’s 35th anniversary with a special member event.
- Signature events – Special events will be held at the theme parks and a look into the progress on the restoration of Walt Disney’s birthplace.
- Member Mixers Around the Country – Join other D23 members across the country in this mixers.
- D23 Expo 2017 – July 14-16, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line.
