Woman dead after car collides with Disney bus

A Windermere, FL, woman is dead after her car collided with a Disney bus. The 29-year-old was stopped at a red light at the intersection of West Buena Vista Drive and Western Way around 2:30am Monday morning, December 15. She drove through the light and her Honda entered the path of the bus. She was hit on the left side by the bus, which was traveling south on Buena Vista Drive. The bus was driven by Fard Karim, 58, of Orlando.

Her car spun and was hit on the right side by a Chevy Cruze, driven by Jeremy Mercado, 24, of Louisiana.

There were 20 people on the Disney bus; none were injured. Mercado had one passenger, Sarah Haidar, 23, of Michigan; neither were hurt.

The name of the deceased woman has not yet been released.
