Eisner gets Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Michael Eisner, the former head of Walt Disney Company, got a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

John Travolta was on hand, crediting Eisner for jumpstarting his career when he was president of Paramount. Travolta commented "I consider it an honor to be a part of this as he has done so much for my career."

Representing Disney at the ceremony were Mickey and Minnie Mouse and the Disneyland Band.

During Eisner's tenure, Disney opened parks in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong, bought tne ABC network, expanded their feature film division, became a presence on Broadway and created Disney Cruise Line.

Eisner was not without controversy and in 2004 he was ousted as Disney's head. He has since founded Tornante Co.and Vuguru, both media ventures. His companies recently acquired Topps Co.
