Yet another theme park ticket scam is in the news, but this one involved unsuspecting Disney cast members. Scammers are approaching Disney employees and asking them to purchase tickets using their employee discounts. Pontsho Gooma was a Disney cast member from Botswana who became friends with a man in Orlando named David. David asked Gooma and one of his fellow cast members to purchase tickets, which he never paid them for. Gooma and the other cast member were fired from Disney's Animal Kingdom when park officials found out what had happened. Gooma told WFTV that he "didn't even know he was targeting me" and that "he didn't know the gentleman was a scammer."

Employee tickets are not to be resold, and neither can tickets with remaining days on them. The fine for dealing theme park tickets is a second-degree misdemeanor.
