Walt Disney World is being sued by a Jacksonville, FL, woman who alleges that she became disabled after falling from a horse on the Magic Kingdom's Prince Charming Regal Carrousel. Kathy Hayden visited the park in September 2013 and claims that Disney "changed the design of the stirrup that had been in use on the Carousel for many years, in favor of another model, which provided less tread traction, without anti-slip resistant features and therefore was slippery and dangerous to patrons" and that Disney "failed to warn its invitees of the dangerous condition."

Bryan Malenius, Disney spokesman, released a statement, saying, "We believe the lawsuit is without merit and we will respond to it in court."

Hayden's attorney said that she "hit her head on the ground and suffered brain damage" and that Hayden "does have health insurance, but she is now disabled and hasn't returned to work." He also said that she has been going to the park for 10 years.
