Atlanta Braves upset over title of new Pixar film
Dec 24, 2011

The Atlanta Braves baseball organization is upset with Pixar Animation Studios about the title of their newest film. "Brave" will be released this summer and has the baseball team up in arms saying that the title can't be used because of the Braves' trademark. After filing several objections about the title, the two companies are now in private negotiations working toward a settlement. One of the reasons the baseball organization is upset is that the players are often referred to as a "Brave." The film is not about baseball, but is about a skilled young female archer who defies the traditions she has grown up with and learns the true meaning of bravery.

The film was originally set to be titled "The Bear and the Bow".
