Disney Television Animation has announced they are producing a new show called Pickle & Peanut, set to air in fall 2015. The description of the series is that is will be "a buddy comedy series about two unlikely friends - an emotional pickle and a freewheeling peanut...two underdogs who dream up plans to be anything but ordinary."

The Disney XD show will be a combo of live-action and 2D animation. The show's creator is Noah Z. Jones of Fish Hooks and developer is Joel Trussell of Electric City. Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite) will voice Pickle and Johnny Pemberton (21 Jump Street) will voice Peanut. Mark Rivers of Jimmy Kimmel Live is story editor.

Disney TV Animation's Senior Vice President of Original Series, Eric Coleman, said, "We see very few pitches that are as funny and original as Pickle & Peanut. We instantly fell in love with these characters, and Noah and Joel have built a world with a visual style and sensibility unlike anything on TV."
