Pixar delays release of two films
Sep 19, 2013

Disney is delaying the opening of two of their upcoming Pixar movies. The Good Dinosaur was set to be in theaters May 30, 2014 and has been delayed until November 25, 2015. The movie is set in a time when humans and dinosaurs co-existed in the world. The film's director, Bob Peterson, was replaced last month, so many Pixar fans correctly assumed that the movie's release date would be pushed back. Because of this delay, the next film, Finding Dory, will be moved back as well. The Finding Nemo sequel was due out November 25, 2015; it will now hit theaters June 17, 2016.

Pixar's next movie in theaters will now be Inside Out, about the mind of an 11-year-old girl. In place of The Good Dinosaur, fans will be treated to an early release of Maleficent, the live-action version of Sleeping Beauty starring Angelina Jolie. This film will now be released May 30, 2014.

2014 will be the first year since 2005 that Pixar has not released a film.
