More activities have been announced for Disney's Animal Kingdom's 15th anniversary celebration. The "Party for the Planet" will take place on April 22, which is fitting, as Animal Kingdom shares its special day with the Earth Day celebration.

- Josh D'Amaro, Vice President of Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Jackie Ogden, Ph.D., Vice President, Animals, Science and Environment, will speak at a 8:40 am ceremony at the Tree of Life.
- A commemorative guide map and keepsake postcard are available that will also list the Party for the Planet events.
- Guests who donate to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund will receive a commemorative 15th anniversary button.
- Special children's activities: Learn to track animals by following clues in Africa. In Asia, learn about how to "go green" and how your choices affect nature. At Rafiki's Planet Watch, learn how to spend time in nature as a family and speak with cast members about global conservation projects. Take part in activities revolving around Disneynature film.
- Guest artists, plant specialists, face painting, 15th anniversary merchandise and Earth Day cupcakes are just a few of the other surprises planned for the day.

Epcot will be celebrating Earth Day with special activities at The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Vision House in Innoventions. Many of the resorts and Downtown Disney will also be hosting Earth Day celebrations.
