The Disney Magic is returning to the Port of Los Angeles to commence summer sailings to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.

Disney Cruise Line last called Los Angeles home three years ago when it first crossed the Panama Canal for a summer stint in California. There's still availability for this year's sailings with rates starting at $1449 per person.

The presence of Disney in LA is expected to generate $1 million in revenue at each port of call. The economic boost is attributed to purchases made by cruise guests and crew.

Local authorities are hopeful that Disney will become a permanent fixture in the future. While DCL has not made any commitments, it has indicated that it is in talks with various ports for when the two new ships join its fleet.
