Permits recently filed with the county show a new ride in store for SeaWorld Orlando’s Aquatica water park. The attraction is being constructed under the name “AQO Project 2019,” with permit applications submitted by Sea World of Florida referencing “demolition of existing pavement, curbing, and utilities” and “construction of concrete pavement, a water attraction, and the associated utilities and pumping equipment.”
The documents give the location for the new ride as being “generally located in the area south of the existing wave pools, abutting the back of house service road…southwest of the existing beach area, west of an existing slide attraction, and north of an existing employee entrance roadway.”
This project is part of SeaWorld Entertainment’s increased focus on attractions — Aquatica just recently debuted their new water slide Ray Rush in May and the Infinity Falls raft ride is expected to open at SeaWorld Orlando soon.
