It’s just a couple of days before Christmas and I don’t know about you, but I’ve still got just a little bit of last-minute shopping to do and Disney Springs is just the place to wrap it up!
Whether you need a sweet, Disney-themed treat for someone’s stocking stuffer from the Candy Cauldron or some special Disney-fied Legos, you’re bound to find something for everyone on your list. You can’t go wrong with shops like UNIQLO for reasonably priced, Disney-themed apparel and the World of Disney for the biggest selection of fun Disney-themed merchandise you can imagine. Don’t miss the Marketplace Co-op for lots of things you won’t find just anywhere – especially for those hard-to-buy-for folks in your life. Once Upon a Toy has a huge selection of toys for the little ones and their fountain area comes alive each evening with a holiday dance party, deluxe hot chocolate for sale, pin trading and a nightly tree lighting ceremony inviting a select family to turn on the holiday lights.
If you’re an Annual Passholder, be sure to mention it when you’re checking out as you can save an additional 20% at select Disney-owned and operated merchandise locations and participating restaurants too.
All of the areas at Disney Springs are decked out in their Holiday best with gorgeous decorations everywhere you look. This tree made of beautiful candelabras is one of my favorites!
The many beautifully decorated Christmas trees and garlands draped everywhere are just the beginning and with live Christmas music to sing along to as well, you’ll be feeling the spirit in no time as you browse.
Don’t forget to check out Stitch’s Holiday Gift scavenger hunt – it’s a great way to keep your kids busy while you shop.
Not only will you find Santa Claus in his Chalet ready to pose for photos, but Santa Goofy will join the fun December 25 through December 30, 2016. Stroll along with larger-than-life toys wandering around and posing for pictures as well.
The living statues are festive and dressed for the occasion too. New at the Marketplace area this year is the Disney-themed Christmas Tree Trail complete with snowfall! If you visited when the trail first opened, you’ll want to take another walk through – especially at nighttime.
Plan on heading toward the West Side of Disney Springs at either 7:00 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. for the new Starbright Holidays Show consisting of approximately 300 lighted drones that float up into the sky and form different holiday objects like a Christmas tree and a dove. It’s only about 5 minutes long, but you’ll definitely want to check it out.
Disney Springs will also feature special performances with UHURU celebrating Kwanzaa on the Waterside Stage in the Marketplace area on December 26 and December 27, 2016. Also, Hanukkah-inspired troupe Kalinka will perform nightly at Waterview Park at The Landing through January 1, 2017.
There are so many wonderful ways to experience the sights and sounds of Christmas while finishing up your Holiday shopping during the Holidays at Disney Springs. Stop by and share your favorites with us!
