Disney Cruise Line Stateroom Number 1052 Report

Notes: We stayed in the interior rooms (1051/1053) across the hall last year on the Magic, so thought we'd give the oceanview ones a try this time. We paid about $200 more/stateroom to do so. We had both 1050 and 1052, which connect. The rooms are in good condition but are definitely more noisy than the interiors. The interiors had a whine/thunk occasional engine noise. The oceanviews have the same noise, but you can also occasionally hear people walking above you, and there was also a metallic dragging sound 2-3 times per night. My husband did not hear it (he's a heavy sleeper) but I sure did (I'm a light sleeper. We did have a white noise machine going). So while I did like the two portholes, I will go back to the interiors if I sail the Magic again, just because having a quiet room is my #1 priority. Between the two, 1052 seemed slightly more quiet than 1050. We also got a random odor of ship's fuel for about 20 minutes in 1050 that we did not get in 1052. I do like Deck 1 a lot for its out-of-the-way factor, but I would probably not book these two rooms again.

Notes: Very quiet and in great condition. Close and convenient to the mid ship stairs and elevator. This room has too small port hole windows. I thought this would make it dark in the room, but it really didn't. The kids loved looking out of them at the water.
