Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 2063 Condition: 3
Deck: 2 Category: 10B Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 07/30/18

Notes: Just like the same room on the Magic, this room is one of 6 recently built deluxe inside cabins which replaced the original location of Edge, directly under the atrium lobby. 2063 is behind the elevator banks, and the elevators appear to be the source of an irregular and very audible mechanical sound, which lasts about 10 seconds each time, and occurs at peak times as frequently as every couple of minutes. Guest services team is aware of this, and when I brought it up, we were offered to switch our room to a category 9B across the hall. As we had two connecting rooms (the other one is 2065), we opted not to move, and just shuffled our lighter sleepers into the other room. This recurring noise had no effect on our ability to sleep. Being under the ship's main lobby turned out to be much less of an issue, there were some occasional noises from kids stomping around, but very infrequent. There were a few noises from folks passing down the hallway and talking loudly, and at one point some kids congregated there and were yelling at each other, but that's just a nature of being close to the middle of the ship, rather than far forward or aft. The room is a typical deluxe inside, quite spacious. It is very close to all on-board activities, only a few steps away from Triton's, with launderette 40 feet down the hallway, and the gangways were always somewhere nearby. The ship's side-to-side motion on windy days was noticeable in the room, but did not affect sleep of motion-sensitive individuals.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 2063 Condition: 3
Deck: 2 Category: 10B Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/11/18

Notes: This is one of the new staterooms that occupies the space that used to be Edge, on deck 2, Midships. The room is just around the corner from the midship elevators. In fact, it's up against them. It is also directly beneath the atrium. You can hear people walking loudly or kids jumping around in the atrium clearly in the room. Around 11pm, that noise seems to die down for the most part. Another "irritating" noise comes from below the room someplace, where there is a "whirring" noise, similar to the when the flaps on an airplane are extended. This noise happens all throughout the day, and a few times throughout the night. It may be the elevator mechanism or something from deck 1. It didn't keep us awake, but when you are awake, the noises are irritating. The room itself is spacious and clean, and it's nice being close enough to the stairs that you just walk up one flight and are at the atrium and the entrance to Lumieres.
