Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 6058 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 5C Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 04/20/13

Notes: We thought this room was great. Yes its above the theater and we may have heard noises a couple of times, but very quietly and you would have to realize the theater location to know it was from that. Overlooks the first lifeboat, so there is a view to the ocean in front of that, but as others have said you just sit there and look out anyway. Everything was in great shape. We liked the location almost right between the forward and mid stairs so the only long trek if is you had to actually take the aft elevators to Palo for example. We were able to hear noise from the connecting cabin when they would let the closet doors slam shut or seem to be doing a lot of moving around of luggage and such. Nothing that disturbed sleep.

Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 6058 Condition: 5
Deck: 6 Category: 4E Location: Mid

Notes: * Booked Cat 7gty, upgraded to this room. * Very under booked cruise, about 2600 guests of a possible 4400 guests we were told. * Room in very good condition. * We _really_ liked the location, would use again but we'd probably try to get 8-15 rooms further aft than this room though for the following reasons. * Movie Theater is below, you can hear explosions/bass sounds a little (Avengers was playing on board during this cruise), and it would wake very light sleepers as movies can go until 1am (We never had a problem though). 3+ rooms Aft wouldn't hear the movies/bass. * On the Verandah you can hear an air exhaust from below on deck 5, it is almost as loud as waves crashing against the boat which isn't ideal if you want to listen to the waves below. * Life Boats on deck 5, directly below the verandah, aren't ideal and block some of your view of the docks, ocean and ships waves, but this is the case for most all verandahs on the entire ship. :( I think this was probably the biggest design flaw on the Fantasy... The higher the deck though, the less they would block, due to the angle of view decreasing. * The room was also midway between front and mid elevators/stairs which was really nice to avoid more heavy traffic areas like near the elevators. * Never heard people above (could have been unoccupied though on this under booked cruise). * We heard people running in halls a few times, can't imagine being on deck 5 where the midship detection agency encourages people to run down the halls. We also wouldn't want a higher level deck since walking a couple flights of stairs isn't difficult and saves elevator waiting time. * It was love-bug season and we didn't dare open the verandah door until the second day after our amazing stateroom cast member cleaned dozens of living and dead bugs off it. You also didn't want to eat outside in Cabanas or stand outside anywhere on the ship really for the first few hours but that's another story and no cruise line can help that. * Overall we'd take this room again on the Dream or Fantasy because deck 5 is a BUSY deck with the kids club on that deck and deck 6 is the next closest to everything. We'd like to move back about 5 rooms past the mid ship elevators and we thought that would be about perfect for us next time but we were GTY and would save the money and take this room again rather than picking a specific room further back that might be more ideal. Just a few comments about this ship vs the "Classic" ships. We noticed that you don't see the ocean as much when walking around the ship. We thought the porthole windows in public areas were maybe 10%-20% smaller and there were a _lot_ less of them. Also on decks like 4 and 5 you have either the life boats blocking 95% of porthole views of the ocean in the public areas or the walking track is outside so you can't see the ocean from inside the boat well at all. We really liked the verandahs on classic ships AND the larger porthole windows on them as well even over the Fantasy verandahs. We both said we'd pick a room on the classic ship with the large porthole window over a room on the Fantasy with a verandah, even if they were the same price. We really enjoy sitting in and watching the ocean and waves outside the rooms of a large porthole window on a low deck on the Magic or Wonder was far more than the verandah on the Fantasy. You also rarely pass by a window on the Fantasy that you can see the ocean from. Walking to Animators or kids clubs are about the only places at all on the Fantasy and that's not often for most people. I will say the lounges, clubs, pools and everything else on the Fantasy are better in most ways. With all this, we'll pick our next Disney cruise based on the ports rather than which ship it is. And if you do want to see the ocean and waves on the Fantasy, the best/only view where you can see the waves coming off the sides of the ship is in the adult area and they have hot tubs with acrylic floors you can look down through while inside the hot tubs or just next to the hot tubs.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6058 Condition: 3
Deck: 6 Category: 4 Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 12/10/11

Notes: The room was small for 4 but clean and confortable. We selected MID for stability but the ship has poor sea capabilities and was rocking and shaking a lot.

Ship: Disney Wonder Stateroom: 6058 Condition: 3
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Mid

Notes: Excellent location for a room. Close to elevators and the kids club. Beds are somewhat worn and uncomfortable after 5 days. Verandah is small but satisfactory.

Deck: 6 Category: 5A Location: Mid

Notes: Close to midship elevators. nice room. ample storage under raised bed. quiet. The view when docked in the bahamas is another ship in port, and in CC, a veiw of the dock. we would stay again.

Ship: Disney Magic Stateroom: 6058 Condition: 4
Deck: 6 Category: 6 Location: Mid
  Sail Date: 09/02/06

Notes: The room was very nice. CM always had a surprise waiting for us when we'd return from dinner. It was both a blessing and a curse as far as the location. The mid-ship elevators are pretty much right outside the door. Which leads to a Lot of traffic. I had placed some signage on our door and when we returned from lunch one afternoon, somebody saw fit to take my Castaway Club magnet! I was a bit upset. After reporting it to guest services, they quickly took care of it and gave us a new one. We think we'll get one a bit more Aft next cruise.
