Ship: Disney Fantasy Stateroom: 8012 Condition: 3
Deck: 8 Category: 8C Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 06/23/18

Notes: Very quiet room. Fit our family of 5 - 2 adults, 3 teenagers very well. Lots of storage. The stateroom door didn’t shut very well and we had to slam it often to get it to close. The toilet had flushing issues and flooded on our last night. Did not prefer the forward location. We felt far from a lot of our activities and next time will go back to staying aft or mid like we usually do.

Notes: Sailed to Alaska and was great for the verandah views! Great location close to elevators for access to theaters and Wavebands and quick walk up the stairs to deck 9 for adult area, pool, food, and drink station. Also right below sport's deck on deck 10 which was where my 9 year old was most the time! For Tracy Arm day we were able to go right up the forward stairs to deck 10 for the coffee/hot chocolate stations and soup/cookie stations set up by the basketball very easily! Would choose this room again.

Notes: I only had 2 complaints about this room. The first was that the window seat wasn't wide enough for an average sided person to sit in sideways like you see in some of the pictures. I expected the window to be a tad bigger all around. It was still nice though. You got a good view of the ports while pulling up to dock. My other complaint was that it was way to easy for my daughter to break the tub stopper while taking a bath. I couldn't get it back in, so had to plug it up with a washcloth. I was very happy to see that it was back in working order a few hours later though. The room was so sound proofed that I couldn't tell I had neighbors at all! Much better than other ships I've been on. Deck 8 is smack dab in the middle of the ship, so no activities on this floor. But since it is in the middle, you don't have to walk up or down too many stairs to get to decks 11 or 3. An added bonus is you are closer to the forward elevators, which are less used than the ones mid ship. No cute pictures though. All in all a great room =]

Deck: 8 Category: 8C Location: Forward

Notes: This room is a family oceanview stateroom which is about 3 ft longer than a normal stateroom. This room does sleep 5 as it has a pull down bunk from the ceiling and a murphy bed. Because this is a family stateroom, there is another set of drawers in the desk area and another cabinet. More than enough space for everyone to put their clothing. Muster station is A in the Walt Disney Theater balcony. If you want a seat during the drill, go early. Too many people for the area. Being forward allows convenient use of the forward elevators which are less crowded than the midship or aft elevators. It was not a noisy location but you could hear the engine thrusters when pulling into/out of port.

Notes: Very nice room! Quiet, away from the elevators and foot traffic. Everything was in great shape. View of Nassau was nice until another ship pulled in. View away from Castaway but still beautiful. Kids loved watching the undocking from the porthole seat.

Notes: DH and I enjoyed this cabin on our first DCL cruise - the 11-night Southern Caribbean. It was a complimentary upgrade from our booked cat 6 room. Cabin is more than large enough for two adults. LOVED having the verandah. Great view of CC. Overall a quiet location; good proximity to mid-ship elevators/stairs. Easy access up or down. Room was in wonderful condition. Appreciated the etra storage cobinet in the "sitting" area.

Notes: Room is about 4 doors from the Bridge on Deck 8. Saying that, it was a very convenient room for our purposes. Very quiet during the day and at night even tho the hallway is heavily traveled due to the Bridge. No problem at all. Being a Cat.4, it was wonderful. Full view of CC while docked. I would book this room again
