Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 9009 Condition: 4
Deck: 9 Category: 11 Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 07/19/11

Notes: The room was fine. Perfectly clean and everything worked. It was close to the laundry and to the forward elevators which was great. It was very easy to get to the shows in the theater. However, it was noisy as we had the host's storage closet right across the hall from the room and their huge heavy carts have to be dragged across the high threshold every morning and bang into the door frame making a lot of noise- sleeping in isn't really an option if you sleep lightly. It is an adjoining state room and my sister's family was in the adjoining room which was great. The cousins could go back and forth which they enjoyed. We could hear some noise from them when the doors were closed but not a lot. The closet has actual closing doors not rolling doors which is great and the bars go sideways which worked well for the closet organizers we brought with us (it goes front to back on the Magic). The porthole faces aft so the view on the screen is to the aft of the ship and was great because we got to see the ports since the boat docked stern first. It was fun watching people walking off the ship to the beaches in Castaway Cay. If you prefer the bow and a water view, you'd want to book a room across the hall. My one big complaint is it seemed so small. We spent 11 days on the Magic in the Med in an inside stateroom and it didn't seem this small. I don't think the kids grew that much since we traveled last year and I know we had more luggage in the Med, so I can't quite figure out why it seemed so much smaller. Perhaps the adjoining door took the space that was for more storage on the Magic, (we did not have an adjoining stateroom there). There is a small chest/coffee table to store things in, but be careful because my little one kept dropping it closed on her fingers. Also, my teenager thought the bed was shorter than on the Magic, but she is taller, so that is just speculation. On the good side, the bathroom, it is not split, but there seems to be a lot of shelf space for storage and 2 lines to dry bathing suits, which was a huge bonus.

Ship: Disney Dream Stateroom: 9009 Condition: 5
Deck: 9 Category: 11A Location: Forward
  Sail Date: 06/17/11

Notes: Condition of room was excellent and liked being near forward elevators and laundry. However a few concerns with room. Was a little tight for family of 4 and we definitely prefer split bathroom. Hallway had a lot of traffic from stateroom hosts as maintenance closet was right by our door. We could also hear snoring from connecting room. We would book a Cat 11 again if cost and availability warranted but probably will stick with Cat 10 if we can.
