Hurricane
Charley aims for Central Florida

August 11th,
2004
The National
Weather Service is currently tracking two hurricanes in
the Atlantic basin, both headed for Florida.
While Hurricane
Bonnie is heading towards the Florida Panhandle (and most
likely away from Central Florida), Hurricane Charley is
scheduled to make landfall early Friday near Ft. Myers,
FL on the states western coast.
If the current
track of the storm is accurate, Hurricane Charley will
grow in strength to a category 2 hurricane before reaching
land, and should be no stronger than a category 1 by the
time it hits Central Florida. It's current projected
course will affect all of Central Florida, including the
Walt Disney World area.
